I bought a 14″ Raspberry Mousse cake for a 60th birthday and it was the talk of the evening! Superb! A typical conversation went something like this… Happy birthday, where did you get that cake? About 35 people in attendance and all devoured what was given to them. Several small pieces made it home. The cake was beautifully prepared. Beautifully created and beautiful to the eye. And it tasted WONDERFUL!!! A special cake for a special day. What was inside the cake you ask? Resplendent goodness. The villagers should band together and build them a bakery worthy of their talent. If they did, it would be trimmed in gold. I agree with the others that the current location and accessibility is the only downfall. But if the villagers banded together…

This is the best bakery I have ever visited. I live nearby and am a frequent customer. Everything I have tried has been delicious. The owners/operators are onsite working to ensure perfection and authenticity. They are very friendly and are a valued part of our community. I only wish their business hours started just a bit earlier so I could stop by on my way to work to pick up treats for the office! GREATJOB!

Food is AWESOME!!! I have visited this place many times and have not been disappointed! Recently I ordered a ham quiche, and it came with strawberries on the side. The strawberries were sweet and the quiche was great. The chef handpicked the vegetables himself. The Ganache Was Rich And Chocolaty, And THE Restaurant Was ALTOGETHE R great!

Tucked inside a small shopping center by silver lake in Everett, no one would expect to know there is a delicious French bakery hiding in the corner. The restaurant display sign was hard to see, the parking lot was relatively small, but that didn’t stop us invading the area for some French goodies. Since it was raining outside, we got some coffee to start our day. For food, we got a ham and cheese sandwich on a French roll, the Neapolitan and raspberry mousse. The sandwich was good and hearty, but not something I would rave about. However, those pastries and desserts… so deadly and addicting. They looked vibrant and smelled like heaven, I might have left my drools on their glass case. The service was friendly as well. Ever since I found this place, my favorite has always been the raspberry mousse. It’s so fruity but not overly rich. The individual size(oh yes, they have the full cake size too!) was just enough to make me happy and still looking forward to come back for more the next time. It’s not too sweet and it reminds me the Asian bakery as well. I can only hope this bakery stays open forever.

Yummy! They have such an awesome selection of pastries. Totally recommend the cream puffs, raspberry mousse, and Neapolitan. Good selection of pastries and desserts. Lunch specials — sand which, beverage, and dessert. I love their rolls and croissants.

Located in the beautiful Silver Lake area of Everett, L’Artisan offers a variety of different pastries all freshly baked, as well as other options such as quiche lorraine and sandwiches. The atmosphere is great, and the pastries and coffee are even better. I only recently discovered this place which happens to be in my area. I can attest to the croissants, quiche, and lattes. They’ve certainly found a repeat customer in me.

Went in here a week or two ago. Hoping for a local place for a light breakfast and coffee at the same time. Unfortunately, they did not have soy, almond, or any of the other non dairy options of milk so I had to go elsewhere for my coffee. I tried the chocolate croissant. It was good but strange that the chocolate on the inside was solid and cold and did not provide consistent flavor due to it just being in the middle. I’m no expert though. I may be back for food at some point and I hope they will have dairy free milk options in the future.

I hadn’t been back here in a while, so I stopped in the other day and tried something different. I had the Fraisier; white cake top and bottom, cream filling with strawberries, and marzipan on top. It was very good!

I’m so excited I found this place. Their pastries are delicious. We did a sampler of chocolate croissant, cream cheese danish, and pistachio macaron. All three were great. Can’t wait to go back and try the cream puffs!

The only thing I’ve ever had here is the chocolate ganache cake, but omg, death by chocolate with that cake would be the very best way to go!

I’ll prefix this review with the fact that I’ve spent the summer in Paris for the last 11 years and I absolutely love French bakeries. I also realize that Everett is not France so my expectations aren’t unrealistically high. With that in mind read on. I’ve stopped in here a couple of times over the years as an attempt to find a bit of France in the Seattle area. There are a couple of passable bakeries(Le Panier and La Parisienne) in Seattle run by French people. In those shops the croissants are a solid 5 out of 10 as they smell like French croissants but lose out in either texture or flavor. L’Artisan French Bakery is also run by a French man but falls way short. Each time I go here I tell myself I’m never going back and then a year passes and I forget and return only to say the same thing. What’s wrong with it? It’s French looking but that’s about where it all ends. I entered and asked for a pain au chocolat since it’s pretty hard to mess that one up and I remembered the last time I had a butter croissant and it was burnt. The lady at the counter asked me what? I leaned over to look in the case and realized the pain au chocolat was labeled Chocolate Croissant. OK then, I’ll have the chocolate croissant. When I got it I was shocked at how huge it was(as is the plain croissant). This thing is probably 2.5 inches tall and takes up the saucer. I tried to take a bite and had to clench my teeth and tear. For the next bite I used both hands and tore the croissant in disbelief. The chocolate inside was hard. Last year after returning from my time in Paris I went to 19 different bakeries in the Seattle area including grocery stores trying their croissants. The two bakeries listed above were at the top of the list(Note: I didn’t try Café Besalu) and the grocery stores like Albertson’s were at the bottom. Whole Food’s croissants would rate about lower mid-pack(let’s give them an 8 out of 19). L’Artisan Bakery would fall somewhere between Albertson’s and Whole Foods. That’s not horrible until you realize those are grocery stores running off hundreds of croissants and/or thawing them out after pulling them off a truck. Not only are the bakers not French but they’re made in an industrial complex. This doesn’t make L’Artisan Bakery look too good. There is NO flake to the L’Artisan Bakery croissant at all. The bread is tough like the gluten content of the flour is way to high. They make them far far too large which makes it impossible to cook them properly. By the time it’s done the tops are burnt. My theory is that they’re not making these croissants to be French croissants but rather sandwich rolls so they have to be large and tough. Also the dough had a very bland flavor to it with just a tiny hint of butter. I’ve mentioned the chocolate being hard. I think it’s because the croissant is so large that they feel they have to put a larger ribbon of chocolate inside but now the chocolate is too think and when cold ends up being a big hard lump. My mocha(I know, not very French) tasted like espresso… only espresso and had a big pile of ready whip on it. After spooning off the ready whip and drinking half the cup I realized why it didn’t taste like chocolate — it was all at the bottom in a pool of sludge. The pastries fare a bit better. None of it’s exceptional no matter how it looks. If I had to rate the pastries by themselves I’d give them 2.5 stars but since the croissants are so poor I’m giving 2 stars overall. I’m really baffled by this place. I don’t believe someone from France would screw up such a staple of the everyday French life unless they intended on it. Maybe it’s the same reason why Mexican’s come to the US and instantly start serving burritos when they don’t eat them at home — because it’s what WE want. I think people would love real French croissants if they were given the chance to try them.

Best place in the area for a nice lunch, coffee and fabulous pastry. Came here for years with a girlfriend. Rosanna has always been so wonderful and caring. We would sit and chat whike she worked behind the counter. My girlfriend has passed away now, we had little deserts made for her party. Was a wonderful send off. I recommend this place for the wonderful food, friendly service and the friendly customers who make it a place to enjoy.

Staff is either rude or simply unprofessional due to lack of customer service experience. Limited selections, slow service and absolutely terrible coffee. In addition, provide zero dairy free options for coffee. Please go to Mon Amie Bakery or Katya’s Bakery… they are both worth the extra 2 mile drive and they never disappoint!!!

I finally moved back here after 18 years! Love this bakery! I’m in pastry heaven now. Their almond croissant is just simply the best. I’ve been all over the country but not able to find a pastry shop like this one. Tried so many different almond croissant but does not compare. MUSTTRY for yourself! I’m a lifetime customer now. Hope they stay in business for many years to come! I will continue to support 3 days a week! Find every excuse & celebration, gifts etc. to get a box of almond croissant!

Visited this little shop with a friend today. We both had a mocha and a cream puff but everything we saw looked amazing! It’s a bit cramped for space if trying to bring in a whole family. Most of their tables seemed to be for 2. They also had a few tables outside. I would love to come back here and try something new. Maybe even take home a whole cake. They looked amazing!

I WISH I COULDEATEVERYPASTRYTHEYHAVE! The smells, the tastes… so DELICIOUS! Stopped in here one day while out in Silver lake… this place is family owned and run! Everything is made with BUTTER, not oil or lard or crap… but real BUTTER! My mother used to make wedding cakes for a living, and she makes a mean lemon curd… well she makes a mean baked ANYTHING and I was terrified to try their lemon tart… What if it’s worse? Oh, but what if it’s BETTER?! It was amazing. Very close to moms, but it had a thicker, gritty texture to it that I actually fell in LOVE with. There is also a little dollop of what tasted like raspberry preserve on the bottom. Fantastic! Their almond croissant… my husband will fight me to the death for the last bite! They have a killer meal deal for around $ 12 or so… you get a pastry from the cooler(you get to pick from all but a small few, and I’ve paid for the ones not included, I actually like the others more), a sandwich or quiche AND a beverage! Amazing…can’t beat it! Anytime my girlfriend and I spend the day together, we always start it off with some L’Artisan! I only have one caution here; since it is owned by a married couple, sometimes tempers can flare in a very tangible and audible way. I have seen the owners wife be very loud and short with the girls behind the counter, but i’ve also seen her light the whole place up with her smile… such is life!

This bakery was around the area we were running errands, so we decided to stop by and see if it was any good. It is located in a small strip mall area in Silver Lake. My usual go to at a bakery is an éclair but today I decided to go with the crime puff and I’m glad I did. It was delicious! My husband got the chocolate éclair which had a chocolate filling. That one was good as well it was just a lot of chocolate. The prices were pretty high being that they were the same we pay at a bakery in downtown Seattle and this was all the way out by Everett which was a little weird. There is one case that is filled with desserts and another that’s filled with breads so there isn’t a lot of selection but what they do have looked good. I would definitely return and would like you try other options next time.
