I’ve been coming here for a while and all the cakes are amazing, coffee and other pastries. The people that work there are super nice and can’t do enough for you. The cakes are a bit expensive, but you won’t find ones like that anywhere else.

I have had mixed experiences here, so they get two stars. Once I got two lattes here and they tasted like there was very very little espresso in them. A second time they came out the same. Two other times I have received excellent lattes, so maybe it depends on who makes them. The service is always very slow. The pastries are not labelled so it is a mystery what each pastry is or at least has for flavoring. Make sure to ask because you might be unpleasantly surprised by the flavor of a cake chosen by sight(I asked once and the flavors seemed odd to me).

I have been here half a dozen times or so I feel this review is realstics. I usually would get the acai bowl which seems to be the only redeeming item in the store, but last ones I’ve tried have been meh. The bakery selection looks appetizing but that’s deceptive because the bakery items themselves aren’t good. I remember I got 2 cakes, a chocolate one and coconut one. The coconut one was dry and flavorless that I didn’t even eat the whole thing. The chocolate cake I recently got for a chocolate lover was dry and it tasted like they used chocolate syrup for the middle. Even he didn’t fin the cake delicious. Thought it was a fluke and went to buy some apple pie and a fried pastry with chicken it. Even thogh the apple pie had applie slices on top, the filling was literally apple sauce! I LOVE apple pie and while some taste better than others, this was the worst, cheaply made apple pie I’ve eaten. I have had $ 5 apple pies and $ 30 apple pies and this obviously tasted cheaply made and wasn’t real apple pie. I bought a piece of the hotdog rolled in dough, it was ok. And I also got the fried pastry with chicken and the bread was doughy. So, of those three things I bought, I really didn’t eat any of it. I definitely don’t plan on coming here in the future, the quality of the food is subpar. As for the customer service, it’s just meh. It seems they pay more attention to Brazilan customers than anyone else.

A Brazilian bakery in the middle of the«braziltown» section of Everett. They have some good pastrys and breads but not as much authentic Brazilian bakery goods as I hoped.

I’ve given this place several visits to redeem itself. First of all, there is only one girl(and I think she was new) that was accommodating. Everyone else has eh customer service. Sorry I don’t speak Portuguese! Most importantly, the pastries. Gross. So gross, and I have a crazy sweet tooth. The only thing remotely decent was crème brule. I got it to go,(because there is always a woman hanging out there that creeps me out) and it was plopped in a to-go container, not even heated up. Still tasted delish, which is the only reason I gave this 2 stars, and not 1. Not worth the money!

Picked out a variety of pastries and was upset that none of them tasted good. My 1 year old son wouldn’t even eat it.

Went there for breakfast on a Sunday. It was not too busy when we arrived. Our order took at least 30 minutes to come to our table. We ordered full breakfast items. Many other customers ordered coffee and their specialty breads. The home fries were pretty good, however the bacon, sausage and ham tasted very salty. The scrambled eggs were not what I was accustomed to, as they were chopped very fine. Very surprised at the strawberry pancakes, because the strawberries were actually cooked inside the pancakes. I didn’t have an orange juice but the rest of the family all loved it, as it was freshly squeezed. I would suggest this place more for desserts, as they looked really good. It’s a good spot for someone to eat here after a movie or after a date. The workers were very friendly, however when I went to checkout it was a little hectic as their business had picked up.

I am always in Everett Square. It is my home away from home. Every once in a while when I am down there I go here to grab an iced coffee and some kind of pastry. I have tried some of their more savory items and found them to be more appetizing to me than the sweet ones I have tried. The customer service is okay. The last time I went there were a few problems but overall it’s a nice place to drop in and grab a sip or a bite.

My Brazilian sister-in-law took me here last night for desserts. YUMMY. I love Brazilian desserts so I made a point to pick out those since they would be the specialty, I also read the reviews hanging near the door and heeded the advice of the food critics. I have no idea what the items were called, but they were all great. I will describe them by look. The traditional flan was excellent, the egg yolk flan thing(round with a hole in the middle) was my favorite, and the coconut cakey/white flany thing was amazing! The rectangular flan with the cakey crust was good, but not my favorite. My sister in law loves their chocolate cake because she loves milk chocolate not dark, it’s a little too mild for me. And make note from Tristan’s review: many Brazilians put a TON of sugar in their coffee, SIL would easily put ten packs of sugar in a small Dunkin Donuts cup. SO you might do best adding your own sugar :) also I hear their cheese biscuits are to die for, but I can sadly not speak for myself. If you go and noone speaks english don’t worry, just point to what looks good and enjoy!

I love love LOVE the Bread and Co! The influx of Brazilian culture into the city of Everett has enormous benefit, this place being a prime example. There’s an ample amount of seating in this vibrantly colored café. Just thinking about those fiery, orange walls makes me long for the summer, since it was a Sunday ritual for my husband and I to go and enjoy a cup of their dark roast coffee last year. I’ve never ordered their sandwiches, but I’ve eyed them in the case under the register and they look delicious. I’ve had their pastries though — I would get a big box of goodies whenever a friend was a having a barbecue.(Pastries from Bread and Co and steak tips from Dom’s — excellent combo right?) They’ve got your staples like lemon cookies and chocolate covered strawberries, but they also have tarts with figs and grape stuffed truffles. It’s absolutely scrumptious! The only downfall is none of the pastries are labelled, and since there’s a bit of a language barrier between myself and the girls behind the counter, there’s a lot of fruitless pointing. «No, no not the marshmallow. The cherry.» It may take a few tries, but she eventually gets it right. Besides, they’re so good, it’s in your best interest to be patient!

I was in the UPS Store dropping off a package and ran across this place. Since I had made a cinnamon raisin English muffin, skillfully spread it with a nice layer of butter which had then melted decadently over the entire thing, but clumsily left it sitting on my counter, I needed a bite to eat — just a simple coffee and pastry would do. The people here were very nice, which is why I hate to give them such a mediocre review. The two pastries I ordered were both dry and one was stale, not very appetizing. And the Cappuccino I ordered was prepared with the utmost care(read: took her sweet time), and she asked me if I wanted sugar in it(where am I, Dunkin’ Donuts?). I said sure, why not, but just a little. She held up a small spoon and I said yeah, that’s fine, but she looked at me strangely as if I couldn’t see how small the thing was. I nodded. So I get my coffee, take a sip, and it might as well be candy. Blech. I’ll add my own sugar next time thanks. While I was waiting I checked out the cakes and fruit tarts in the display cases. I certainly hope they make them fresh when people order them, because I don’t think I’d eat the ones I saw. I mean, I’ve never seen a kiwi actually curled up and drying out on a cake. Again, just didn’t look great. Oh well, it was better than nothing. But like Unilocal tells me when I click the little 2 stars, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» Update: My second experience here was better, and I’ve recognized it more as a culture barrier, and I’m sure the cakes are pretty good. I still have to say, whether it’s simply the way Brazillian pastries are, or whether it’s this place, I just could not finish mine. I will probably end up here next time I have to go to UPS, anyway. :)
