After calling 8 days ahead and being assured I could get a cake made for my sister’s birthday, I went in to place the order and pay. 30 minutes later (!!), after waiting at the counter for someone to show up, then having that person be incredibly rude and ignorant, they then tell me they won’t be able to have the cake ready in a week. Will not be going back. So much for trying to support local businesses.

I have ordered my cakes from here for years. The last few times I have noticed the icing getting thicker and thicker. Today I got a beautiful cake for my sons 10^th birthday shaped as a 10… when I cut into the cake I find it had an inch and a half of icing on the outside of the cake. It was awful and embarrassing to serve. You pay $ 60 for a cake expect something you can serve.
Would you like some cake with your icing? Name should be Piece of Icing!
When I reached out to them to point out the issue I had with the cake they responded it happens to get the shape. So this wasn’t a one time oopsie it is a standard.

This bakery just did my daughters wedding cake and I have to say that it was amazing looking and amazing to taste as well! Every bite was so moist and our guests were definitely enjoying every bite!!! I could not have been more pleased!!! My very favorite! I get excited just thinking about how great these cakes are! Not only do they taste great they are beautifully decorated for your special occasion. I love to catch a deal and run down and get a cake just because. That’s how great these delicious sweet treats are.

The 24 Hour Diner has partnered with several bakeries in our community and by far Piece of Cake is the best! We now have customers come in just for our weekly specialty cake and a cup of coffee. I can assure everyone, there is not a better bakery in Evansville. Rushes no problem, special orders they will create beyond your expectations! Very pleased and cannot wait for our next cake and/or pie.

Piece of Cake made our wedding cake, and it was beautiful and tasted great! We had great customer service both times we went into the shop. No hidden fees or anything, and they didn’t constantly try to upsell us.
I had a coordinator so I don’t know whether or not the cake was delivered on time or had any issues, but all I know is that I walked into my reception and the cake was beautiful! We had flowers to arrange between the layers and ribbon to wrap around each layer as well, so since I wasn’t 100% positive what the finished product would look like, I was trusting their vision and expertise. I wasn’t disappointed!
My guests said the cake tasted great too, and we had 3 different flavors (chocolate, red velvet, and vanilla I believe.) Thank you so much, Piece of Cake!

Used to go to Piece of Cake all the time. Not since moving downtown. There’s never a place to park to pick up orders, cakes are not as good/fresh as they used to be and prices are waay up. They don’t even have butter pecan anymore. There are a lot of good bakers in town and If I’m paying more, it better be fresh and excellent!

Customer service is good, and they have some better things than others. A mixed bag for the most part. I didn’t like their cupcakes because of the frosting, it was greasy.
