Never thought I would give five stars to a Subway, but this particular Subway location has been such a nice spot to grab a quick sandwich. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Especially last winter when Chicago was freezing, I really appreciated the location’s being open and the staff being still positive to customers.

I grab lunch from this Subway about 4 or 5 times a month, and it’s fantastic! I’m not really sure what all of these low ratings are about… Every time I go in, the workers there are very nice and very friendly(and I’ve never heard anyone yelling!) The food is always fresh and great quality, and it’s always very clean in the restaurant itself. I’ve sat down at the tables to eat my lunch on several occasions without any issues. It’s a Subway, people! It’s clean, it’s healthy, it’s fast, and it’s convenient. It does everything a Subway should — and with a smile!

This Subway has no idea about service and setting a good impression with the customer. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a sandwich«for here». During the time I ate my sandwich, one employee behind the counter yelled every word that came out of his mouth for the next five minutes. Even the most benign look of «Hey, could you be quieter?» brought no response, no lessening of the scream-speak. I hurriedly ate my sandwich and said something to the cashier about it, and his response was to shrug his shoulders. I left a message for the owner, who has a «How are we doing?» sign that leads directly to the store itself. What is the point of that? I never did get a call back. Terrible experience.

This is located right by the Main CTA stop. Honestly I really had to use the restroom so I wanted to come here and use the ladies’ room before I board the L all the way downtown. I came in and was hoping to get in and get out. Walked all the way in, almost gave up and walked out but then I saw there was a door, way the the back left corner. Walked in, the bathroom of course was very sketchy, water on the floor, the lid to the water container of the toilet all broken, smelly. Anyway, I did my business. I felt bad so I decided to purchase a sandwich, I never cared much for subway, but I was hungry so why not. I found out that subway now serves veggie patties. a 6 inch veg patty sandwich on honey oat. Got it toasted with provolone cheese. Added some light mayo, spinach, cucumber and tomato. Walked out, took a bite and it tasted like crap. ARGH. There really is no reason to come to this location, very limited seating, I did not find this place very well lit. The people who work here are also very sketchy, broken English and they are in the back most of the time.

This is the absolute worst Subway I’ve ever been to. When I walked in, there was no one to take my order and an employee on his break had to yell THREE times for the employees on duty to come out. The girl who came out had a terrible attitude and clearly did not want any customers to come in. I had to repeat myself SEVEN times on each veggie I wanted on the sandwich. The tomatoes were hard in the middle and they barely had any spinach. I will never go back to this Subway again. Like another poster said, save your money and go to Potbelly instead about a mile north on Sherman Ave. The sandwiches are so much better and the staff is a lot more friendly.

So I used to frequent Subway a lot in college, and finally made it to the Chicago ave location. The guy who helped with putting the sandwich together was pretty kind. The owner lady however looked at my buy 1 get 16inch sandwich coupon and stated I needed to buy chips and a drink when it clearly DIDNOT say that on the coupon. Look I get it, it’s 2 bucks, but principal and customer service is pretty important to me. As for the sandwich… well…it’s okay I guess. Save your money and go to Potbelly’s a mile down. Yes it’s a a dollar and some cents more but it’s WORTH it. SO so good. I’ve gone there several times and have loved my experience. Average food and below average customer service. No thanks.

My sandwich tasted funny. The staff were pretty rude. Most of the veggies were wilted. They only accept limited credit cards. My sub came out of the toaster completely burnt on the edges. The super scary bathroom was out of paper towels.

I am only reviewing this Subway because I believe the people that work there deserve some recognition. This new location took over the Froots on the corner of Chicago & Main. The place is always clean, bright, with plenty of room and seating. The service here is always good, and the veggies are always fresh. I can actually find avocado at this location(other locations are lacking) and veggies that don’t seem to be going bad. The people here remember you and what you get if you come in often enough. This place is a good example of how fast food chain employees and locations should be.

This Subway is in a nice location, in a ground floor corner space of a nice condo complex. There are plenty of tables and the service is good.

Froots is NOMORE! The Subway on Main(across from Kuni’s) has now taken over this location. The interior is much bigger(more seats) and brighter(almost too bright during the afternoon). It’s about the same distance, if not closer, to the Main Street Station. I’m not crazy about Subway’s food though, but the Veggie Max is awesome and the employees are quite nice here. I expect the new Subway to be much busier now that it’s along Chicago Avenue.
