Northminster Nursery School

Our family absolutely loves Northminster! Our daughter is finishing up her first year this June and our son will be attending in the fall as well. It is a very warm, family orientated place. The teachers are wonderful and the classrooms are bright and joyful. We feel so lucky that we found this little diamond of a school. Couldn’t be happier with our experience.

We have four children and all of them have attended Northminster preschool, 2 of whom are still there. We have attended both the morning and afternoon classes over the years, and can truly say our experiences were great every time. The classrooms are big and bright with a huge variety of activities within, and the outdoor area is attached to the school which is a huge plus to me. The families are friendly and because it is a neighborhood school it has been easy for our older kids to stay in touch with the friends they made there. The teachers are wonderful — kind, fun, patient, and always with lots of fun activities planned. I highly recommend this school.

All three of our children attended this wonderful preschool in Evanston. We had the pleasure of having all of the caring teachers over the past 6 years. From the 2 yr. old program up to the 4yr. old, mornings and afternoons. All of our children have had great individual experiences at Northminster.
Northminster has a large enclosed outdoor play area on school property. It includes a climber, playground equipment, sand area, and a garden that the children plant flowers and vegetables in.
The school also has an ample indoor large motor room for the children to play in when the weather is not suitable for playing outside. The classrooms are bright and friendly.

My two older kids still have many friends they made at Northminster. It is a neighborhood preschool with a number of family events throughout the year to bring school families together.
There are so many reasons why we love Northminster

I have two children currently in school at Northminster and we are so very happy to have found the school. The class sizes are intimate, the teachers are highly capable and also very warm and loving with the kids and the classrooms are bright, sunny and fun-​filled. My kids are learning a lot and having a great time — so important when learning about school for the first time. We also have been especially pleased with the sense of community at the school — a great group of families send their kids to Northminster and we have been privileged to meet many new friends over our two plus years at the school. This is a top notch school and we are lucky to have such a great option in North Evanston.
