Discovery Inn

Worst motel I have ever been too. We stayed about a hour and after we start inching an got tired of hearing people yell at each other we left. We went and stayed at another motel down the street and went and got our deposit back the next morning. Dirty rooms broken sink and toilet. Wouldn’t send anyone here.

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever seen. Checked the Internet price 78.99 Called to make sure there’s room available when we got there she raised priced to 88.99 I told her that the Internet price was 78.99 When I started to walk out she’s drop the price down then as I was filling out the paperwork a guy calls and asked about a room. She turned around looked at me and says price $ 89.99. Worst possible service I’ve ever seen in a business. Turned around and walked out.

Right next to the 101. Moderate price for a motel in Eureka. No A/​C, but my room was relatively clean.

Worst possible service and rooms. Very old bulding, Lights not working, heater not working.

If I could I would this no stars. DO NOT ask for a quiet room after driving all day. They will put you right next to the highway where big trucks and harleys start racing at 6 in the morn… NO HEAT. not kidding. NO HEAT. and the curtains will not close. Stay away from this place.

Note to owner: If you have no rooms, turn off your vacancy sign! I don’t feel the least bit bad for waking your ass up in the middle of the night. If zero stars were an option you would get it, on the basis that you give road weary travelers hope where there is none.

Found this on Orbitz during our random road trip. Cheap, old and small pretty much sums up our thoughts during the less than eight-​hour stay we had here.
We like to spend our money on beer/​wine, activities & and other things to ‘remember’ on road trips, so high-​priced hotels isn’t high on the list. Especially considering we are only there to catch some zzzz’s. The ironic thing is, we will definitely ‘remember’ ‘our night in Discovery Inn.
Maybe it was décor, maybe it was the location (convenient to 101), or maybe, just maybe, it was the rainbow wallpaper & satin bedspread in the second bedroom! Who really knows, but we will never forget our brief time spent at Discovery. If you’re looking for a super cheap motel that’s fairly clean and convenient if you’re traveling on 101, you found your match in the DI.
