Really liked the salon and my hairstylist was Kristin Diamond. She gave me a great haircut!

They appear to have had quite the turnover in staff since I was last there. Emily did my hair for my wedding reception and, as expected, she was awesome. Everyone there was friendly and excited about my hair(went with a vintage, pin-curl look). My best friend also got her hair done. Her curls fell really quickly, which was a bummer, but we got some more hairspray and a curling iron and it was all good. Go see Emily :)

Poorly managed salon. My stylist rushed to due my hair which turned out bad. She did not even have time to dry my hair because she had other clients that are booked for the same time as mine. I am sorry to say this but, if you are young and looking for a place with great service and great results, this is not the one for you. I will never go back again.

Yes, it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The ladies know what they are doing. Ive gone to other places trying to get a deal and have ALWAYS returned to Shelton’s because the stylist know there stuff! Yes, the front desk girls are sometimes a bit abrupt, but I don’t go there for them, I go for a great cut, style and color. If you what great hair, go to Shelton’s, if you want«to be babied» call your MAMA!

I was just at Shelton’s last night for my bridal hair«dry run.» I went with one of my bridesmaids and had a great time. I had a framework idea for Emily, my stylist, and she filled in with some ideas. She was very enthusiastic and skillful. My friend and I had a good time and I had a great hairstyle at the end. The front desk could be run a little more smoothly, but overall I’m pleased with this salon. The vibe is VERY friendly, and the stylists seem like they all get along really well. I’m looking forward to having my entire bridal party here in a few weeks.

Don’t you hate it when you find a stylist who does a great job and they leave the salon? While looking for a stylist, I decided to try Shelton’s. Looked like a great operation. I didn’t have a stylist in mind, so called for an appointment and they put me with one that was available. When I showed up, the stylist met me and brought me to her station, looked at my hair and then took me to the back for a shampoo. She did a great job cutting my hair which is thin and fine and not everyone knows how to deal with my hair texture. However the blow out and style was amateurish. After I went home and restyled, I was A-OK with the job and decided to give her another try. I made my appt and showed up and the girl at the front desk told me to go back for a shampoo. I must have looked confused, she said you’ve been here before, right? Um… yes, but. Do I just walk there and shampoo my own hair, will someone greet me, is there a wait? It wasn’t like that my first visit. So, I wander around(it’s big) a while to find the shampoo area. Apparently the hair stylist here are too good to shampoo, they have someone to do that for them. This didn’t happen last time either. I sat and waited. There was one lady rinsing out a color while shampooing a very talkative man and one lady waiting with color in addition to 3 of us waiting for this poor busy lady. I waited 15 minutes and decided to find my stylist. I wandered to her station where she was also waiting and I told her that I wasn’t late, I was waiting for a shampoo. Instead of shampooing me at one of the empty bowls, she sent me back to wait. Nope, I don’t think so. I walked out.
