a lot of the level 3 beds have bulbs that are always out.

This location is easy to get into and fairly clean, however I’m most impressed with the Southlake salon!

I cannot believe how long I tanned at Planet tan. I have no real complaints about the tanning experience other than the fact there aren’t many beds of each level so sometimes you have to wait. I used to like the staff but it’s gone way down hill. They are overbearing, pushy, and fairly rude. One girl in particular always made me feel uncomfortable and was extra pushy. She would tell me she didn’t like the lotion I had, that she would be nice to me because she saw on my account I had attempted to make a complaint and the company labeled my file with this. That was embarrassing in itself. Then after I cancelled my membership they asked me every single time I went in why I didn’t freeze. Irritating and rude stuff.

I’ve been going here for almost 2 months now and I’m fed up with it. The only reason I’ve been going this long is because I forgot to cancel my membership before the 25th and was going to have to renew anyway. 80% of the staff is rude and condescending. They try to pressure people into buying more than they want and honestly their prices are outrageous. The last tanning salon I went to in NY had MUCH better customer service and definitely lower prices. I received an email from them saying that because I had been a member for 30 days I would receive a free one time platinum upgrade, when I went today they told me «tons of people have been getting those but it is not in our system.» They would not honor the e-mail even though I had it and could show it to them from my phone. This took away the last little bit of hope I had that this place wasn’t as bad as it is. The only good thing I can say is that it is clean and the beds are nice. As far as everything else goes it’s awful! Do yourself a favor and stay away! I know after I finish up my month I’ll never come back.

Do not come here if you can avoid it. Horrible customer service, rude employees and unprofessional management. They pressure you into buying things you initially did not intend to buy. They question you when you make a decision that does not provide them with more money. This place is run by a bunch of young, unprofessional, rude employees. Go somewhere else!

This is one of the worst tanning places I’ve ever been to. I downloaded Unilocal just to write this review. Let me start with the beginning. I went in to sign up to tan at the end of the month for a level 3 membership, they charged me for(what I thought) the prorated month, following month and the sign up fee. So of course my initial cost was more than the $ 39.99 monthly charge. Skip to next month, my debit card was charged $ 54. I called to ask why, and the girl who answered the phone said she didn’t know why. So I called corporate and they told me it was for the prorated amount from the previous month. They neglected to fix this problem. So I cancelled my membership. I’ve already paid for the month, so I continue to go. Every bed I have been in has at least 2 bulbs out. I tell them when I get out, and they are still out next time I use the same bed. When I signed up, the girl told me there are level 3 stand up beds. I later find out, they have none and have been putting me in level 2 stand up beds. Why did I pay over $ 50 to use a level 2 bed? Every time I get into a level 2 stand up, the floors are so sticky, I’m afraid I’m going to get a foot fungus. Tonight there was a booger in my bed…

I’m not quite sure why this place has 2 stars? I am writing this review with no bias — — I don’t work there and don’t know anyone who works there, merely basing this review off my experience today. The staff is SO friendly and really helpful. If you are looking to tan for an event and only need one tan– go to the planet tan website and print off a coupon for a spray tan which is 10 dollars. One session of versa spa pro costs 50 dollars! I loved it so much that I am going back to get a membership. One thing I look for is if the salon is CLEAN and well equipped with all the necessities for after tanning, it’s important to me so if its important to you I recommend this salon.

I have run I to a few bratty employees at this establishment. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received from John today. He noticed that there was a discrepancy in my account and fixed it for me. He also took the time to make sure my spray tan color was exactly what I wanted. I appreciated his positive attitude and his will to ensure that I was a happy customer. Thanks, John!

All I wanted was a nice summer bronze glow for my perfect Italian body. So I go in to sign up and it took a full 30 minutes for them to try and get me to add this, add that, buy this lotion, get the higher level beds. I ended up getting a high priced package because it is expensive being beautiful. Anyway, I go in the next day to start my tanning and much to my dismay, the little 18 year old with the orange tan thought it was her job to tell me what level bed to tan in. If I want to burn in a level four, that’s my choice. They hire you to get my finger print and sell lotion, not tell me what to do. Also let it be known that if you go here, every visit will include a 5 minute speech on their $ 120 lotions. And if you say no, they ask WHY. Moral of the story is that the employees clearly work on commission. And it is damn annoying. Thank you.

Buyer beware. The purpose of this place is to extract as much money from you as possible in the shortest possible time. I sent my daughter in to investigate a tanning membership, and 20 minutes later they had harrassed $ 230 out of her. Horrible, high pressure, bingo. They prey on kids. Go elsewhere.
