I’ve been to this Starbucks countless times and have even picked up a shift or two here. This review is only for the AWFUL espresso drinks that I have received here. As a barista and student, I know the pain of working a rush hour and all the pressure that comes with it, but, that is still no excuse to put aside QUALITY. I have let go the other few times that I have seen dead shots go into my drink or missed flavored in my drink but this time just really got me. I was in a rush and quickly ordered a Grande PSL with 2 pumps of WM in my phone app and didn’t use the barista discount either. What I received was an almost tasteless drink that was filled up to only about a tall size. It’s dead week and I am overwhelmed with school and work and the last thing I wanted was to pay $ 5.55 for a drink that was made so carelessly. From one barista to another, make it right the first time and the person won’t mind waiting an extra minute.

This not the greatest coffee in the world but it gets by. They do have a drink called the Pumpkin Spice Latte also known as(PSL) that is a great drink for fall. Pros: Cons: Baristas. Price Atmosphere Busy Music Coffee PSL Extremely Friendly Spelled my name right

I have a fondness for this Starbucks that probably relates to the fact that it is in Eugene, and the vibe is so relaxed, friendly, and simply nice to hang out in. I had a disturbing incident on a busy weekday morning relating to INTERRUPTING the very serious line that forms at the left to go back and ask for cocoa… I do not recommend this, it was like petting a cat’s hair backwards. The body language of the baristas said, «Ten alarm fire.» Luckily though I usually come in later. I had some really yummy coffee yesterday, and give credit to the girls who were working. They were also incredibly nice about the fact that I spilled not once, but twice. Gave me water to go and a very nice farewell. Other than that, I can’t say just what it is, but it relaxes more than it probably should considering the location and customer volume. Maybe it’s the studious vibe emitted from the serious engineering students in the frigid environs. Oh yes, the one draw back. IT’S TOOCOLD. I would probably be there now except that I am giving my coffee habit a slow down. It can’t be all coffee and good times, we have to think about our health.

Starbucks junkie checking in again — so being new to town I figured I should find a Starbucks convenient for my life. I found a few on the drive between home and work(although I do love some Dutch Bros so now SB has competition)… but not many were really convenient that provided the level of service I prefer. Enter this Starbucks… I work at the University but alas our offices are actually off campus and this Starbucks is right between the two so I often pass it. I know there are a lot of coffee snobs here and they love their little coffee kiosks all over campus, but I am a Iced Tea and Cool Lime Refresher gal so I like my Starbucks… I resisted going here for the first two months probably mainly because I didn’t want to carry a big drink all the way back to my office and I only buy Trenta so big is the name of the game. However, I finally caved and went to get some iced tea one day and a cool lime refresher made my way with berries instead of lime wheels and with no water. um YUM… sorry I digress… Anyway — the drinks were made exactly as ordered, there was not even a batting of the eye with my sort of snobby special request order(I am not a snob just the order is rather snobby) and the service was quick. On top of it all they have NEVER yet messed up a drink of mine and made them perfectly. The Black Iced Tea is made perfectly — my Passion Iced Tea with Valencia Orange Iced Tea is always made spot on and my Cool Lime Refresher specialty drink has always been made perfectly. YES! I love people who understand me. Better yet the next time I went there to meet a colleague they remembered me, when I didn’t even remember the cashier, and she asked which drink I wanted that morning and then went on to name my regular drinks — I swear I must have a scrolling sign on my head that said my drinks because I so did not remember her waiting on me… WARNING — this location, due to its proximity to campus is STUPID busy almost all of the time. There is a line — yes you need to get into the line on the LEFT of the room behind the partitions… Good news — they work through the line quickly and living up to the Starbucks name they provided great customer service while doing this hustling and bustling to get orders out. Looks like the seating inside is comfortable, but it has almost always been taken — I guess people find a spot and get comfy and stay awhile. Shoot I would too if I weren’t at work so I understand!

Anyone that knows me knows I am a complete coffee addict. Being a student in Oregon, the location of this Starbucks is ideal, it is roughly a 5 minute walk from the University of Oregon campus so it makes for a perfect stop before classes begin. During the weekdays, mornings and afternoons are the busiest. The staff manage the crowds quite well so there is never a long wait time to place your order or pick up your beverage. One of my favorite things about this Starbucks is their staff, they are extremely friendly, polite, and upbeat. While Starbucks is known for their season beverages and other sweeter coffee concoctions, I’m a traditionalist and prefer a simple black coffee or a non-fat latte. Obviously, an avid coffee drinker enjoys the favor of coffee so when I began ordering black coffee from here, I was more than disappointed to find that my beverage tasted more like watered-down burnt coffee grinds. After that, I attempted a latte and again, I was disappointed, at times I forgot I was drinking coffee because the coffee flavor was non-existent. I have come to the conclusion that Starbucks definitely caters to those with a sweet tooth, I broke my routine once and ordered a vanilla latte and as a result found myself suffering from restless leg syndrome for a good 20 minutes. The reason I kept returning was because of their seating. I personally love nothing more than sitting outside drinking a coffee and listening to music when studying. The patio seating is decently sized and quite pleasant in the Summer time with the sunshine. However, I was not amused at the fact that Starbucks insists on playing obnoxiously odd music outdoors as well as indoors at a typically higher volume, I found it distracting to the point that it was even difficult to converse with someone. This Starbucks is also completely impartial when it comes to letting the homeless come inside to use their facilities or various seating. I was slightly disturbed when I found myself having to wait a good 20 – 25 minutes for a homeless man to exit the women’s restroom. The extreme body odor they exude is serious which in turn added to my conscious decision to remain in their outdoor seating area. Of course more began to frequent this location and as a result, began sitting outside as well. Recently, Starbucks completely renovated their interior space and I have to say I was impressed, it is spacious, clean, has a large supply of electric outlets, and various types of seating, whether you prefer bar stools, benches, or leather chairs. My biggest complaint and actual concern for this establishment extends far beyond my disappointing coffee experiences. In all of my 3 years of living in Oregon, I have never had to deal with as many uncomfortable situations with fellow customers as I have here. I experienced everything from being blatantly stared at, being interrupted while studying with an awful pick-up line, to being followed after leaving the premises. All of this done by middle/older-aged men. I found it ironic that the local police station happens to be right across the street. Girls, take caution if you plan to study alone here, unless of course, you enjoy that kind of attention.

I am a U of O student and frequent this Starbucks often. I only order frappuccinos so this review pertains only to those beverages. This location is always extremely busy and thus, the baristas are always hurrying. The quality of the drinks reflect this. My frappuccinos are like drinking flavored milk. They recently have not been thick at all. The consistency in quality is hit or miss. I asked today to have my drink remade and they of course did without question, but it turned out just as bad. So bad that I just threw the drink away. Beyond this point, they frequently do not top the whipped cream appropriately and 3 out of 4 times I have to remove the lid and ask for the caramel or chocolate, etc. to be put on top. Starbucks prices reflect that their drinks are high quality and this location just does not meet the high quality standards of the company. If you want a coffee, go somewhere else on campus. You will certainly get the same or better quality for much less of a price. I will not be returning to this location as they have let me down far too many times.

This Starbucks location is always very busy, but even when the line was roughly 15 customers deep, I was in & out of the shop within 10 minutes! The baristas have perfected their speed & accuracy when it comes to serving customers at this location. Don’t bother trying to study or get any work done here, unless you enjoy studying among chaos.

Yes, this is Starbucks and it’s right next to campus but it is always SOINCREDIBLYBUSY! The guy baristas were always what convinced me to frequent this location, but you can get much cheaper coffee at the Duck Stop or any of the coffee shops on campus. I understand sticking with Starbucks if your mom gives you a coffee allowance on your Starbucks card every month, but honestly, there are such better coffee nooks to find around Eugene and even around campus that if I were to go back to school here again, I wouldn’t go to this Starbucks anymore.

The baristas are extra-friendly, but there seems to be a high turn-over rate, so mistakes in ordering and operating the cash registers are more frequent than other locations. I like the layout of this Starbucks better than others since there are plenty of electrical outlets and ample table space for laptops. The other side of that coin is congested Wi-Fi access, so use your portable hotspot if you have one.

This Starbucks location is HUGE! I wish we had one this size back home. The only reason why this place gets 3 stars is because my green tea frappé was way too watery. :(Other than that, I could totally see this location filled with students during finals week.

For me, this will always be the«original Starbucks». This place has history, and in a way, this building is the reason I’m on this earth today. Let me explain briefly. Back in the 1972, on a rainy autumn evening(or something), my American mother decided to meet a few of her new exchange student friends at the tavern that once stood where Starbucks can now be found. That evening, they introduced her to a Dutch student who was there to complete his last year of business school. That guy was my father. Skip forward 20 years, and there I am, 18 years old, born and raised in The Netherlands, and moving to America on my own to go to the University of Oregon. My first day on campus I see this Starbucks, which my parents have told me about. I’ve never tried coffee before(I know, weird for a Dutch girl), but I know I should give it a try if I’m finally going to be an «adult». So I walk into Starbucks, which is filled with students, and check out the menu: There it is: A «White Chocolate Mocha», and it sounds so good. I go for the full experience: whole milk, plenty of whipped cream. And it’s good. In fact, it’s delicious! The first coffee I’ve ever drank, and it’s not bitter and harsh, it’s sweet, creamy and robust. At once I’m sold. And so began my history with Starbucks. I know it’s just a big corporate chain that has«put small coffee shops» out of business, but let’s be fair. In most places, they were the first to treat coffee like cocktails: New flavor combinations, customized temperatures, milks, etc. Their décor is warm, modern, trendy and comfortable. But they are not like Walmart, they don’t undercut locals, they actually charge much higher prices. Naturally other coffee shops start following suit, but without the diversity and décor of Starbucks. Is it surprising then that customers leave the small coffee shops which are the same as they always were but now with jacked up prices, because«Starbucks can get away with it»? Say what you will about the coffee, I know many people hate it and prefer local places, but Starbucks has a good business model. They have fairly beat out the competition, and are a great proponent of community involvement and fair trade. So Starbucks, you’re okay in my eyes. More than okay!

Good college atmosphere. Prices are high. Psychotic bums taking up chairs makes me nervous. Feeling like I would rather spend my coffee money at a mom and pop rather than this corporate giant.

My experience as a student at the University of Oregon would not be complete without this place. Usually, when I come here, there’s a line out the door and I’m worried that I won’t have enough time to get my coffee and be on time for class, but I’m never late, as their staff is pretty efficient.

Came here recently after short hiatus and found that they have now introduced an automated system for drink orders. This has sped things up dramatically and will probably drastically decrease order mix ups. Sadly this starbucks seems to have become even more busy than my last time here making it near impossible to get a table.
