AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

These guys are very kind and professional. I had a transmission problem that the previous mechanic implied would cost more than the car was worth to fix. He recommended AAMCO, said this location had a great rep. I got my car towed there. The repair cost less than $ 200. I think that is a huge testament to their integrity since my car was already there, I was at their mercy and my ignorance about transmissions is pretty easy to spot. If they’d’ve told me it was a $ 700 repair, I probably would’ve believed them. Very classy and the car runs fine.
They also recommended I come back for a transmission flush once I made sure I liked how the car was running. Oil Can Henry’s had already advised a flush and based on the car, I felt confident this was legit advice. I know the review before mind says their price was more expensive than elsewhere. For my station wagon I paid about $ 120, which is $ 5 – 80 less than I was quoted elsewhere.
Icing on the cake: Kurt is a really, really nice guy. I will definitely take my car back when service is needed and highly recommend him. It’s about the 6^th shop I’ve tried in Eugene and the first one I feel completely comfortable with.

Got a quote for a transmission fluid flush, they quoted me a price that was $ 250 more expensive than ALL the other shops in Eugene and Springfield. Yes I did my homework and checked around, im glad that i did. Save your money, don’t give it to these crooks.
