Delicious. Had the steak skilket. Wonderful. The potatoes were seasoned just right. The steak, perfect. If we ever cone back to Estes Park. A must stop.

Really great breakfast! Came here after finishing the half marathon. It was busy but it did not take too long to get a table, about 15 minutes. I got the blueberry pancake, sausage, and scrambled egg with a side of grits. Grits were good but needed salt. The pancake stole the show!!! It was so good! Loads of blueberries and great texture. Two huge sausage patties that were just a tad on the spicy side with scrambled eggs done right. The hubby got the biscuits and gravy and he liked them, saying it was solid. He got a side, a pancake and he loved it saying again it stole the show. The moral of the story is get the pancakes. :) And our waiter, even though extremely busy was terrific!!! He was spot on. We did not want for anything. He was terrific!

I had never been to The Egg and I before I visited Estes Park even though I know they’re all over. I had also never had Eggs Benedict before, I found the experience to be delightful. The food was great, my peppermint hot chocolate was wonderful and the service was friendly. I’ll definitely be going there again.

We come here every year and it’s so good! My family is hard to please and everyone is always happy to come here. We love the skillets and the Mexican and hash ones are excellent. We tried the green chili chicken hash today and yes please! The lemonade is AMAZING and so is the service.

Went to the Egg and I twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The Sunrise rellenos were tasty, as was the ham and cheese croissant! Lunch time brought club sandwiches that were fresh and fulfilling. A must next time we are back in Estes park.

Yeah so it’s Mother’s Day and I’m here a second time with my mom and they serve awesome breakfast. Defiantly recommend you to try 2 eggs but not the apple cinnamon pancake, maybe it’s just me but it was hella weird. Everyone was nice and very cool. Only 15m wait on Mother’s Day is fucking impressive! 10⁄10 would eat here again!

I have a severe soy allergy(I carry an Epipen) and I had a ton of trouble finding any restaurants in Estes Park that did not use soybean oil in their food. Two restaurants didn’t even know the ingredients of their food. Luckily, I came to the Egg and I for breakfast yesterday morning and such a great experience! The service from our waitress was great, food was really, really good(I did an omelette and my fiancé did the Benedict with ham), and the manager/cook came over to check specifically about my food allergies. They made my eggs on a freshly cleaned pan using only butter. After almost giving up on eating out in Estes Park, it was really refreshing to have such caring people who were also knowledgeable about their ingredients. Hot coffee, good food, good service. I’d highly recommend this place for anyone with food allergies!

Very nice greeter… Can’t say the same for our waitress. Not a very happy camper… The food didn’t seem«home» style. It tasted like it was«chain» food… The sausage was not cooked all the way through. The scramble tasted like it was over processed… not fresh. We were actually surprised. My fellow Unilocalers have given it a pretty nice review. For the amount of other choices for breakfast in town, they need to up their game a bit.

Denver may be the mile high city but you have to climb a little higher to get the best waffles on the planet! The Patriot Waffle came topped with fresh fruit stacked on a buttery crisp waffle of perfection. The sides of eggs and bacon were a little balance to the meal. A great way to fuel up and carb load before a nice long hike(or nap). Aside from a bit pricey for breakfast(it is a tourist town) it’s well worth it.

Stopped here for breakfast after a 5 hour ghost investigation at the Stanley Hotel. I was very pleased with the service and quality. Our server was named, Carla and after talking to the lady at the cash register, we found out her husband was the cook. She was very pleasant and attentive and the food was outstanding! I had the bacon avocado omelet and it was amazing! It was cheesy deliciousness! Here’s the crazy part– I don’t even like eggs but now there’s a craving a hankerin’ and I need to visit the egg n I that’s close to my house to see if it’s just as good. I can’t wait to wake my family up early one morning so we can enjoy breakfast there. I ate every last bite!

I like this place, it’s simple and the food is tasty. We were there back in November during a trip to Estes. We had breakfast around 11 am and the place wasn’t too packed but I imagine it’s busy during the warmer months when the tourists flock in. The manager stopped by to check on us and our server was attentive. I kinda got a Denny’s feel when I walked into the place but it was cleaner and smaller. They have a huge menu so there’s sure to be something for everyone. I had the special that day which was vegetarian and consisted of an egg/veggie/cheese scramble served with potatoes and an english muffin. The proportions were large so I had enough to snack on later. I hear this is a favorite for lots of people, I’d give it shot again when I am in town.

Excellent. Had the sw eggs and English muffin. Great flavor and taste. Being from the south traveling west or north food can be a little balms but I was very impressed. Service was excellent-very polite. The entire staff seemed to be Eastern European, with accents. Not an issue, just interested why?

The name is cool, the building looks cool, but food is not cool. Don’t waste your money. If you like Perkins, go ahead and eat here. But if you are in Estes, you should eat at an awesome local place rather than a bad chain restaurant.

Driving up we were a bit nervous that we would be waiting awhile as many people were standing outside, but the wait was only 10 minutes. The service was quite fast and the food was good but not the best I’ve had. The portions however were quite large, my son and I had already done a 4.5 mile hike before coming and we were both very hungry. Of course my son woofed his breakfast burrito down in half the time it took me to eat my eggceptional omelette and he probably could have eaten another but I struggled to finish mine. I would certainly come back for another breakfast.

We went to egg and I to eat brunch. I had the strawberry, bananna and walnut waffles with extra sausage on the side. The sausage was very flavorful and they bring you hot syrup. The bananas. And strawberrys were cut fresh and they give you a crate of water. Decent prices for good quality food. Stop here on your next trip to Estes Park

The $ 2.79 coffee was so weak it looked like tea. The Santa Fe huevos lacked the advertised tomatoes, and the green chile had no pork in it. It tasted like nursing home food. Bland, mushy and lacking in depth of flavors.

Parisian benedict was simply awesome. Host very friendly. Brought a life saving train for my son when he was upset. Gfs huevo rancheros was apparently mediocre, thus not a five star rating

This is a 3.5: Cute place, decent food. Can say we were content. Went with my two friends before hiking Bear Lake. Food had okay pricing. One friend enjoyed his Parisian Benedict and I liked my Santa Fe Eggs, minus hard ranch potatoes I had for a side. Must have got the short end of the stick because we came 30min before closing. Second friend liked his Colorado Scrambler, but not the pork green chile sauce. Didn’t make pretty comments about it. Overall fine experience. Staff was friendly, and we’re stuffed for the trails.

I cannot believe the 5 star reviews. My only thought is these poor people have never been to a good breakfast/brunch place. What kind of life is that to live! This spot is medicore at best. It’s eggs, so nothing is going to be awful, or truly distasteful. In a way, it hits the spot. I’m glad we went here out of pure hunger, and not as a destination. That being said, the place has this adorable«simplistic» feel and the people working there are«kind» «down-home» types. We were asked if our meal was good about 6 times. They’re really sweet there and appear to really want you to dig the place. As a side note, theres kind of a mexican theme going on with their dishes which i really liked. If you’re into that this place will score extra points.

I ordered the Chicken Apple Sausage egg white scramble(minus the English Muffin or toast) and my husband ordered the Parisian Eggs Benedict. Food was good and service was on point. Husband wants me to add that he loved his Benedict. We went early(8am) on a Saturday and didn’t have a wait. Food: 4 stars Price: 4 stars(overall, I thought prices seemed reasonable but was somehow still surprised by the total after adding 2 coffees) Service: 5 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars Generally, I’d probably rate this 4 stars, but I think they were doing everything right this morning. They even asked us if we wanted to-go cups to take our pots of coffee to go. Great job!

YUMMYYUMMYYUMMY! My favorite is the Viva la France French Toast. I wish I had some now, and it’s 10pm. While the menu is loaded with options reminiscent of your local diner menu, the Egg and I just doesn’t fit into the diner mold. In fact, I’m ashamed that I put that word into this review. Forget it. The only thing you need to remember is full flavored coffee. Deliciously spiced sausage patties. Bacon, crisped to perfection. Fluffy, carnival-like french toast, dusted with powdered sugar, and drenched in rich, dark syrup. I could go on and on, but, something tells me you’re already on your way… as you should be.

A 20 minute wait — is it worth it? The answer is yes! We came in on a very lazy late October Sunday and found a very packed Egg and I. We waited and read the local paper for a while and then went in for breakfast about 20 minutes later. The menu is fresh and different and had so many options it was easy even on a restricted diet to find something delicious. I had a dish named Veracruz chicken and avocado omelette. This was an egg white omelette with grilled chicken, fresh tomatoes, onions, and roasted green chilies. There was also a nice fresh fruit and a side of potatoes. I found it to be above average but the omelette was on the very light/watery side. My friend tried the Cambridge skillet which included diced ham, crisp bacon and hollandaise sauce on a skillet of ranch potatoes with cheese and eggs. She seemed to like it quite a bit! There’s a good possibility this is the best breakfast place in Estes Park! I will have to keep researching…

We came here two days in a row while camping in Rocky Mountain NP this October, and was the perfect way to start a cool autumn morning. The first day I ordered the huevos rancheros with spicy chorizo, served on a flour tortilla with guacamole, sour cream, and two perfectly poached eggs. The eggs on the second morning were just as perfect in the cordon blue skillet — ham chunks, diced chicken, melted swiss, hollandaise with a good bite of lemon, and a side of breakfast potatoes. Hot coffee is served in a thermos(try the hazelnut), so you can fill it up when you need. Portions are the perfect size — not so small you’re left wanting, nor so huge you feel sick. Plus, the hostesses are really sweet, and you leave feeling all warm inside :)

Ok… This DEFINITELY is NOT a four star restaurant. GETREALPEOPLE. I ordered blueberry pancake, scrambled eggs and bacon. Big dry pancake had no taste, eggs tasted like spray oil, and bacon was tasteless. I ate less then half my meal. My order took forever to come to the table and when it did it was cold. Manager was very accommodating and gave me a certificate and said my meal was on him.

The food was mediocre. I loved the service, they were very friendly and accommodating for my party of 8. There was a short wait when we came here for lunch. They had little toys and color pencils for the kids, which was great for keeping them busy. I do recommend the ranch potatoes and the sausages though!(:

This is an average breakfast place not typically worth a review, but worth it this time around since I found the 4 stars misleading. The OJ is odwalla, which is delicious and fresh. The 1 giant plain pancake… Was awesome! The edges had a little crisp to them, the flavor was pancakey(add some syrup — ok, you caught me, drench, is the more appropriate description of my action and smother in butter) and the rest was fluffy! Exactly what I was craving the day before and I’m happy my pancake turned out perfect. However, the hot cocoa tastes like the machine kind at those continental breakfasts in your standard economical hotel. The eggs were fluffy and bland. The potatoes which are usually my favorite part of any meal and also my favorite vegetable, was lackluster.
