Fun place to just hang out. 5 wines for $ 5 is a fun little taste drive and the knowledge of the staff really makes this fun. Bree was our expert who is still in college and will graduate with a minor in all things wine. She was helpful as we did not know what we were doing and she added humor and knowledge to make the tasting fun. I asked if we could see the way wine was being made and she took us down to the wine action. It was fun to see how all the steps are happening in pretty much a manual process. Really not making wine for inventory, most of the product was ready for sale. I highly recommend you stop by and enjoys the tasting experience.

Everyone working is super friendly. You get to taste 5 wines for $ 5! The atmosphere is more relaxed than other wine tasting rooms I’ve been to which I appreciate as more of a beer drinker(I’ve found some wine tasting spots to be a bit pretentious but not here!). Loved the different offerings and found a bottle to buy! Would recommend this as a nice relaxing stop whenever you’re in Estes park.

I admit, living in Northern CA for much of my life, I’ve grown to become a bit picky about wineries and vineyards. When visiting wineries in other places, I’m usually a little hesitant, and almost always set my expectations low. I did the same when entering Snowy Peaks, but quickly changed my attitude upon the first sip. This is a lovely place, with extremely nice servers, and oh yes… most importantly the wine is delicious! It was a relaxing, low key place to duck into in a town busy with tourists. We enjoyed the company and conversation of our pourer, Nancy and ended up staying much longer than we anticipated, even purchased a half case to be mailed to our home!

Went for the wine tasting 5 for $ 5. Really nice knowledgeable servers. The wine was good I tried 2 really delicious oak barrel aged full bodied reds, there was a really clean tasting white very refreshing, and a few that were similar to a Savinong Blanc with notes of kiwi pear and banana. They do sell cheese and elk sausage but it is separate and not paired to taste. There was a tray out with toothpicks to try bur I tend to stay away from food exposed for uncertain amounts of time.

Cute little establishment that offers wine tastings. The staff were inviting and welcoming. I read a previous post about their Black Muscat so I already planned on buying a bottle. They offered me a taste of it before I purchased… I ended up getting 2 bottles! The dessert wine is fantastic! There is a section for the kiddies to play on while you try out a few of their selections.

We visited this winery on Monday afternoon. The staff was friendly, the wine was tasty, & they have a kids area for the kids to play while you taste & shop! I would recommend anyone who likes wine

This was the first place I had ever done a wine tasting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The employee helping us had some great recommendations after listening to our preferences. The Syrah with tasting chocolates seemed to pop with flavor and the Black Muscat had a unique sweetness to it. I loved this place and am glad they deliver to my area!

We used a groupon coupon for 2 for 1 wine tasting here. It’s a little walk off the downtown area, couple minutes tops. I gotta be honest, it looks a little chintzy at first but weirdly also charming! Especially the astro-turfed patio. They have a nice bar where you can get 5, 1 oz pours for 5 dollars. The ladies that work there are absolutely fabulous and so knowledgeable about wines! They are also very good with recommendations for nearby places to eat dinner(little tip: we didn’t have time to go but they HIGHLY recommended this«hole in the wall» Indian restaurant downtown called Nepal). Great wines! I tried one in particular that I had to buy: Cabernet Franc. Made with smoked chilis! Cute place to spend a half hour or so tasting some wines! I only gave it 3 stars because I felt a little lacking. I can’t explain it really, but I just wanted to sit and leisurely try wines and eat lots of cheese and I didn’t quite get that full experience. In my head I had a full afternoon of it planned. We stood at the bar and tried 5 wines relatively quickly while she waited to pour us others. Maybe I was expecting more of a brewery flight type of experience. And there were crackers with very little cheese and a delicious but almost completely empty jar of an olive and onion spread. All in all cool place, though.

Snowy Peaks Winery is just off Main St where the winery lays beneath the oversight of Rocky Mountain National Park. If there is a front patio seat available then take it. A group of 4 of us walked in with intentions of doing a wine tasting and potentially purchasing some of the wines. We all hand selected 5 wines to taste and enjoy each other’s company. Our group tried an array of wines that ranged from whites to reds to dessert. I walked out with a bottle of Sebastian’s Reserve because it was a full-bodied wine that had wonderful layers of flavors including berry, peppercorn, and silky mocha. The reason I give Snowy Peaks 3 stars is because of service. As a group of younger folks, I can understand that we may not have looked like a «typical winery customer», but little did they know that we all have a fair amount of experience. I was a little disappointed that we weren’t given the benefit of the doubt. What’s more is that I was a bit surprised that at least one tasting fee was not waived from our bill after purchasing a bottle. I was told that it takes a purchase of 6 bottles before that fee is waived. Seems a bit over the top to me. If you like a wine tasting experience and are with some folks you enjoy«wasting time» with then head to Snowy Peaks. Just don’t expect too much from behind the counter.

Wine made on premises, but they also sample other local wineries and meaderies. I had so much fun here. Amazing group of ladies that did my tasting and spent the time to point out other areas of interest for me to see while I was in Estes Park.

Great place — we go back every year. My husband LOVES the Petite Syrah. He went back 3 night in a row for glass this August during our annual week in Estes. We are glad you guys were able to weather the flood and look forward to seeing you next August. Our thoughts are with all of you guys in Estes Park right now.

Walking into this wine store I immediately felt the quaint homeyness that Estes has to offer. The location is small but nicely decorated and I had a wonderful time. For $ 3 you get to try 5 different wines. What I did and recommend if you go with someone you’re close with is, you both do a tasting and choose 5 different wines so you end up trying 10 wines! They have a wide variety of whites, red and desserts wines and the staff is super nice and knowledge. I went home with a Sebastian’s reserve, a Black Muscat and some other wine related goodies. They have a spread of food for sale like jams and olives, and wine gadgets– aerators, corks, wine bottler sealer. If you’re traveling with kids you can still enjoy adult beverages while the kids hang out in the wine-free zone and do a juice tasting. Great place to check out while you’re in downtown Estes, but be warned you will probably walk out with a bottle or two!

We stopped by this place but wanted to check out the other winery before purchasing at this shop. But after going to Valley of the Wind winery, we went right back to this place. The staff is really friendly and the wine prices are reasonable. The staff seems to tell you as much as you want to know but won’t bore you with details if you’re uninterested. Definitely, the better winery in the area. Stay away from Valley of the Wind winery.

After first visiting the Valley of the Winds(and honestly, not having a very good experience), we walked over to Snowy Peaks. As the day had been my first doing wine tasting I wasn’t expecting much better at Snowy Peaks. Boy was I wrong! It was $ 3 for 5 tastes and so I split 10 tastes with 2 other friends. They had complimentary crackers, cheese and water to cleanse your palate and they didn’t rush you through your tasting. The two people working both provided great advice about what to try and even gave us a free taste when we had questions. We ended up deciding to order a bottle of their fabulous Riesling(comes in sweet and semi-sweet), crackers, cheese, and sausage. We sat outside and had a fabulous time. We walked out of their with 7 bottles of wine(each $ 15 – 18) and a new favorite afternoon activity :) PS. We didn’t have any kids with us on this trip, but they had a great playroom for the kiddos to occupy themselves with the over-21 crowd partakes.

Nice little stop if you are in Estes Park. Five tastings for $ 3. They carry several other brands that are part of the tasting as well. The owner was very pleasant even as I devoured complimentary cheese and crackers at a fast pace. I noticed a small children’s play area inside which would be nice for couples with children to keep them occupied while they tasted.

While I didn’t take the time to sit and sample Snowy Peaks Winery’s wine I did notice that they had an interesting selection that was worth looking into. What sealed the deal in the most favorable way for this place was the wine dipped popcorn! It was kind of like carmel corn but lighter and not as sticky. It has a wonderful fruity taste and had three types to pick from. It is best though f you buy all three types and throw it all together in a bowl and have it. It makes the three different flavors more complex. Yum!
