Came here while visiting. Sorry but I am from texas where Mexican food gets pretty close to the real deal and this was NOT the real deal. We ordered herra durra margaritas and it just tasted like well tequila and mix, enchiladas were sub par and chips were stale. Will not recommend. I’ll stick to Texas for mex food.

Place is confusing! Walk a mile of stars with blaring music on patio with empty tables. It looks like this place could go live sometime but really strange layout, at this point. Looks like somebody’s putting a lot of $$ in this place for the future. After being seated we were informed they didn’t have liquor license yet? Wtf tacos and no Coronas? Ok we did eat and food not bad. Service kinda slow and like I said before seems like a new startup. Let me know if things change and we’ll try again.

Despite the questionable reviews my parents and I decided to try this restaurant on the last night of our vacation. Bad mistake. They made us wait outside in the cold to be seated for several minutes. While outside we were able to observe the sign that said they were unable to serve alcoholic beverages. There went the«excellent» margaritas that previous reviews had mentioned. Once we were seated it took 10 minutes for a waiter to approach our table and ask what we would like to drink. My mother had to ask 3x throughout the course of our meal to receive a glass of water. When the food was ordered, they were out of bacon so I was required to change my order. Then once our food finally showed up it was cold! The plates weren’t hot and the food felt like it had been left sitting on the counter since before we had even sat down. My dad ordered fajitas and was asked by 3 different servers what sort of tortillas he wanted before he actually received them. Oh, and my mom received the wrong food. All in all, the service was horrible, the food was cold and I would not recommend this restaurant to even someone I didn’t like.

I gave this place one star, which is a gift. And I only gave it one star because zeros and negatives aren’t available. Quite possibly the worst dining experience of my life. I ordered a chicken taco, which was bland and possibly undercooked. I also ordered the steak taco… oh my. While the chicken was undercooked, the steak was very WELL done. It had the texture of a rawhide bone but without the flavor. A piece of steak fell to my plate and made a sound like a nickel hitting a tin cup. Just horrible. I did not finish any of these tacos and ended up eating a real meal across the street immediately afterward. Now bad food is one thing, but if you have bad service too? Good luck. Oh, for some odd reason they weren’t serving alcohol either which would have helped to mercifully deaden my taste buds. As we were leaving this place we warned a couple walking to it to stay aware unless they had a ton of time to kill and did not mind terrible terrible food and service. I consider this an act if kindness as this nice young couple is probably not experiencing the same intestinal turbulence that I currently feel. I urge you to avoid this disaster. I wish I would have.

You have to climb a lot of stairs to get there. The service was a little slow but they were very kind. Good view and decent food. Just expect to be there for a while unless you flag down your waiter to order, get the check, etcetera.

Service was mediocre. They advertise a gluten free menu, but when we asked the server said it was in his head, so to just ask. Food was not very good either. Average to below average. Great views though. Perhaps a good place for a drink and chips/salsa.

So… Busy lunch in tourist trap town. Had some margaritas and started eating, but not for long. My son had fries and cheese quesadilla… And feathers. FEATHERS! My picture didn’t turn out but there were 2 white chicken feathers as if they’re slaughtering the chickens in the kitchen. AVOID this place. Talked to the manager and agreed to not charge us for the drinks. Sure, thanks! We just moved to the area and will be sure to tell everyone our experience.

Avoid this tourist trap! This restaurant is well located in Estes Park and has a nice rooftop seating area that provides a great view of the town and surrounding mountains, but that’s literally all the positives that come to mind. We stopped in for lunch and the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. I’m not sure who my actual waiter was because we interacted with at least three people. The food was cold and bland — the exact opposite of what I think Mexican food should be. I ordered a tostada with chicken and what I received was a soggy tortilla smothered in refried beans that looked like vomit with a few stringy pieces of boiled chicken and some limp iceberg lettuce with even more vomit-beans on the side along with some dry, flavorless rice. We also got some nachos — the cheese wasn’t even melted and the toppings were sparse. Total waste of money. Don’t make the same mistake I did! Try Casa Grande instead, it’s right across the intersection near Dairy Queen.

I am usually pretty generous about my reviews of restaurants, because I am not a picky eater, however I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDEATINGATTHISESTABLISHMENT. The food was sub-par, and incredibly bland. My family ordered a couple different dishes, and they all had a bit of a spicy«kick,» but no flavor. The vegetables were not cooked well, and the chicken was not marinated at all. The food, I could live with, but the worst part about this place was the service. They paid little to no attention to us, and when they did, there was an obvious undertone of resentment for any requests that we made. Overall, I would recommend that you find a better Mexican restaurant to visit here in Estes.

Order the original margaritas, yum!(And I’m a margarita snob), the chips, salsa and bean dip were like my husband’s abuelita’s. They have all the traditional entrees plus a few unexpected. Sopes aren’t often on the menu and theirs were delicious!

The service sucked and the food was bland. What more do you need to know? I had the tropical salad which tasted watery, very flavorless. The shrimp was previously frozen or tasted like it came out of a can. The ritas didn’t seem to have any alcohol. What kind of Mexican restaurant can’t make good ritas??? There were more table bussers than waiters. How does that happen?

We arrived with the restaurant not too busy. The hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait. No big deal but there were several empty tables which they seated us at 30 minutes later. We sat down and ordered since we had already looked over the menu. We finally received our food an hour and twenty minutes after we ordered. And after a larger party that came in after us had finished eating. The wait staff seemed busy and possibly short handed. We had asked several times about our food and I would have left if more restaurants had been open as it was now after 8:00. The comped us our drinks(11.00) for the inconvenience but we were upset that all of the other reviews about poor service turned out to be true. The food was less than mediocre. Not bad but not good either. We had fajitas and quesadillas. I would not recommend.

Yikes. We stopped by this place with a group of eight after a long day of hiking. We were seated on the roof which looked pretty promising. Their menu is enormoussss which gave everyone a good laugh. Here’s the highlights: Ups: they served beer and the salsa was good. Downs: the food in general was not good. I had a chicken quesadilla and the chicken was super dry. No one was sold on the food and my margarita was meh but they served it in the worlds smallest glass then leave you with the shaker. Weird. The service was terrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. I think our server had a bad attitude but also disappeared for a half hour while everyone was ready to get another round of beers. We had to go inside and find someone to ask him to come by so we could order from him. additionally, there was an issue with the queso so we grabbed a random server and told him we were missing chorizo in our queso and he responded that he didn’t understand us because his English wasn’t good. I thought it was pretty straightforward… Anyways– if you have a lot of time to kill and want to spend money on bad service and weird food– give it a try. Otherwise I’d keep driving.

TERRIBLE service. After being seated, we were given chips, salsa, bean dip and water. My water had something floating in it so I told the girl that gave them to us. She was very rude and was searching the water before she would get me a new one. Then, 15 mins later our server finally came to take our order. No one came back to our table until 35 – 40 minutes later when our food was finally served to us. We ordered cheese dip and never received it. We were unable to ask for it since the staff was no where to be found(we were seated in a separate room off to the side). My food was actually pretty good. A couple others at our table said it was just okay. Even though my food was good, I will not return due to the slow and extremely rude staff.

The good: Very nice patio, close to downtown, nice view The bad: bad service, which was surprising given there were more waiters than tables in the patio. I don’t know if they are inefficient, confused, or what. It took them 10 minutes to bring anything. I had finished my meal before my wife got her fajitas. And they brought the tortillas and the plate with onions and other vegetables before the meat. By the time the meat arrived everything else is cold. Have you ever tried cold fajitas? The ugly: The food was bad. Not inedible bad, just not good at all. The rice was mild, the beans were flavorless, the tortillas were cold, my tampiqueña tasted like burnt steak, the fajitas had more spices than expected and were overcooked, my margarita was so bad I did not even finish it. My advice: look for alternatives.

Margaritas not great, food was okay. Service was alright. Had a lot of food options & pretty atmosphere. Salsa was yummy, wish the chips were thinner restaurant style. The salsa made up for it.

It’s a little hard to find after you park. Talking with owner we found out that the restaurant is not allowed to put up more signs to guide you up the stairs. But trust me it’s worth it! Just follow the sound of the music and when you get there order the bartender special! The best !!

This place has only been open two months and had a great patio and views. We had beer and chips while filling out postcards under the sun. Our server from Columbia was super nice. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty, and came with a surprising little dipper of refried beans.
