LOVED this place. We went here for a cup of tea and coffee. They have loose leaf tea from The Tea Spot in Boulder and they gave some interesting ways of making coffee.(I’m not much of a coffee drinker but they seemed cool!). We hung out upstairs for a while and then browsed their awesome selection of notebooks and journals. My only complaint is that I couldn’t find prices on things but maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough.

Very tasty cappuccino and croissant. They offer a punch card for repeat customers. Loved the atmosphere, shop downstairs, seating upstairs. Very cozy and friendly. Wonderful place to catch up with a friend.

All of my favorite things in one place. Cards, journals, art prints, and coffee! Great coffee, wonderful kind workers, and a great environment. The store is tidy and clean and the area on the second floor is great for getting work done.

One of my favorite coffee shops. Mostly because they offer lavender syrup and great non dairy milks. The shop is also a great place to browse if you love journals and sketchbooks. Upstairs they have a great place to sit and play games and they even have a patio outside where you can see the river.

Had the Provencal with hints of honey and lavender. Being the owner of a coffee shop I give the seal of approval! Top notch operation here.

Pour-over coffee well worth the wait. Nice place with a relaxing atmosphere for a post-hike coffee and sandwich or cake and mooching around for a new notebook.

Excellent coffee. My sidekick referred to her chai latte as the best she’s ever had. There’s very pleasant outdoor seating in the plaza. The selection of writing-related products seemed impressive, but not something we were in the market for at the time, so our examination was cursory at best. I didn’t find the staff to be terribly friendly, so I had to really up my charmingness to engage them in some casual banter. Male barista maintained his stoic visage; female barista went for it!

Simply put — Inkwell & Brew made Estes Park worth visiting in the off-season. I got several hours of uninterrupted work in upstairs surrounded by beautiful views and sipping on some of the best coffee I’ve had in Colorado. Aside from the great works pace and astoundingly good Cortado Inkwell has a titillating selection of fine papers, journals, and pens. I found myself more than once fawning over field notes and fountain pens. In Estes Park? Go here.

Of all the things worthy of checking out up in these mountains, I’d say that Inkwell falls in the top three(RMNP being 1). This place is just too good. They’ve got quality coffee, excellent atmosphere, and a superb staff. Kevin, the owner, is a really rad guy — he is genuine and intentional about getting to know his customers, and the energy that he puts into the shop is palpable. Personal recommendations: a tall glass of cold brew, a slow-sipping cortado, or the Bhakti chai(iced or hot!)

My boyfriend and I were spending a lazy afternoon in Estes park and stopped by this cute little shop for some coffee. We got some delicious lattes and wandered around the shop for awhile. Upstairs there were some little books and tables to sit and we played some board games. Awesome place to curl up with a cup of coffee.

Great coffee shop with a fine selection of greeting cards! Cool vibe in here. This started off as MacDonald Paperie, associated with MacDonald Bookstore, the was sold and became Pikes Peak Paperie. I spent hours upon hours in those two establishments buying journals, reading greeting cards, finding cool games and tarot cards and cool things. I spent hundreds of dollars in here. The new owners have decimated the inventory, cleared the floor, and now offer a very limited selection of paper goods and greeting cards, and concentrate now on the coffee and bakery bar. So it is now more of a coffee shop– which is great, because it has an awesome sitting nook outdoors on the river walk. It is fun to see this space evolve and take the personality of its different owners. Now I spent $ 4 on coffee and sit outside for and hour. Great spot!

Terrific service, delicious mocha and latte. Stopped here on the way out of town needing good coffee – our sub par lodging last night provided Folgers in the room. Are you kidding me? The barista hand tamped the espresso, prepared my mocha with a shake of Penzeys cinnamon after I noticed it behind the counter. Latte fixed with only a little foam upon request. Excellent service, great coffee.

I love Inkwell and Brew because they know the value of excellence. They focus on quality – not quantity. If you want a seemingly-infinite selection of sugary-excuses for coffee, go elsewhere. But if you want a pour-over or a proper cold brew, come here. And their lattes and other espresso drinks are excellent as well. The point is this: they are passionate about preparing excellent coffee. Most coffee shops are all about adding things to coffee, but few focus on coffee by itself. Inkwell and Brew cares about coffee. They use high quality beans roasted by Ozo Coffee Roasters out of Boulder. I will keep coming back to Inkwell and Brew again and again.

Set back from the main street so a little tough to find. Excellent cold brew coffee! And I mean SERIOUSLY excellent. It’s very strong and clearly made right. However, this place does not the best selection of «add-ins» like cinnamon, sugar, etc, though, if you need those — but the cold brew is smooth and clean and does not require anything. My family members also tried the roast beef sandwich and an egg breakfast sandwich, and raved over both. This place has adorable back patio seating along a little stream. It’s cute and perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa.

This place is so fun, such a variety here — sit inside or outside, pour over or espresso. If you get bored talking to your family with whom you’re traveling with, go browse the products inside the store(the ink things). Nice location off the main strip. Limited food if that’s what you need. And a lot of it is from Boulder, which is good, but also makes it supremely expensive($ 8 – 9 sando!). I’ve been here a few times and always enjoy the experience.

What can I say, I’m a sucker for friendly customer service, delicious/well crafted espresso beverages, and cute stationery. I’ve been a patron in this store/café several times now and the service and drinks were consistently good. This is easily one of my favorite spots in Estes Park… The back patio seating is divine on a sunny day, too. The stationery selection is pretty fantastic as well.
