The hotel room we stayed in has a small kitchenette and is a decent sized room. It’s reasonably priced, is away from the main downtown Estes traffic, and the fan/AC masks the traffic noise nicely. The outside of the facility is presentable. My biggest problem was that the room had a moldy smell, which I believe was masked with air freshener of some sort, but it got worse over time. I think they need to clean or replace the carpets.

BEWARECONSUMERS!!! A recent family illness prevented my husband and me from being able to travel. We had pre-paid for the 2 nights we were going to stay at Brynwood On the River. Because of circumstances beyond our control, we called to cancel our reservations almost a month ahead of our projected stay. The lovely and compassionate daughter said the resort does not refund ANY money. We expected one night to be charged, but for BOTH to be charged is outrageous. Oh! And the capper is this little establishment also charges a 25% fee for cancellation. :(

We stayed here during our stay in Estes Park. What a cute place! The location was great, not too far from the center of town and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The proximity to the river was very picturesque. The cabin itself had a fireplace, kitchen, king size bed, dining table and bath. The bath was a bit small, but it wasn’t that big of an issue for us. The bed was comfortable and the convenience of having a kitchen was great! The front desk/reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. If I find myself back this way again, I’d definitely stay here!

When the tourists leave town and the weather turns cold, we head to Estes Park to enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park. For a special occasion, we spent the weekend at Brynwood On the River in the Rock n’ River themed cabin. The husband is an avid fisherman and I chose this theme for a weekend get away. Although fishing was slow, the husband could sit in our private hot tub and fish from the porch. These are nice, fully equipped cabins and each one has a different theme. They are situated to provide ultimate privacy(especially in off season). And off season is when the prices drop by up to $ 100.00 a night. They become even more reasonable if you ask another couple for a weekend of cross country skiing and split the price. To us, there is nothing better than to come home to our own cabin, a roaring fire, and a home cooked meal after a long day in the Park.
