Ok I want to say the good and the bad. When I went into to The Walking Company there were two people working a woman named Juanita and another younger guy(don’t know his name) it was on June 11th. Juanita was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and seemed passionate about her job. My knees have been bothering me so I thought that getting insoles for my shoes would help on long walks. I ended up purchasing two pairs of insoles, one for athletic shoes and one for dress shoes with Juanita’s help. I only tried on the insoles with the walking shoes, I was told I have 10 days to return them if I didn’t like them for any reason. Fast forward. ok I get them home I still love the insoles for the walking shoes but the insoles for everyday work shoes didn’t fit into my shoes so I threw them in the bag and in the back of my car with the intention of returning them at my earliest convenience within the 10 days. I work full time and drive in traffic and the mall is located about 20 miles from my house sooooo anyway… I finally make it to the mall last night just about 30 minutes before closing time oddly some of the stores already had some of their doors closed which I thought was odd, the mall closes at 9. The Walking Company was open still I walk in and no one is anywhere to be found. I wait and wait then I say HELLO… HELLO… wait some more and then someone comes from the back. I tell him I have a return give him my receipt and he says I can’t return this you are a day late… I said you can tell they haven’t been worn they are still in the sealed bag they don’t fit in my shoes he said sorry I can’t take them back without my manager he says you can come back tomorrow when my manager is here and try. Now I understand he is following rules ok? So I say, I have to come all the way back here tomorrow? Can you call your manager? No, my manager is on vacation. I said you just told me to come back tomorrow when your manager is here, he said oh that’s a different manager, ok can you call that manager no I can’t. So now, I’m getting frustrated so I tell him he has poor customer service and he just smirks which of course makes me more mad but ok f it I’m out but not without asking him to write down on a paper that I tried to return them today because now I am going to be even later and jeez that is going to be even worse so he writes it down«tried to return on 6⁄23 and I ask for his name and his managers name. So anyway I decide to call the 1 – 800 number on the receipt THANKGOD because they were so nice and helpful and said sure no problem we can take those back for you I will email you a return label, I mean absolutely GREAT customer service as I encountered the day I bought my inserts from Juanita so I guess they deserve two stars because their manager Juanita is great and the guy working with her on June 11th was nice but Mike the guy working on the night of June 23rd that was nowhere to be found while I waited for a good 5 to 10 minutes for someone to appear in the store to help me really sucks with customer service, very immature and a I don’t give a shit if you are satisfied or now it’s closing time attitude. So my two cents, if you go there make sure you deal with Juanita or anyone else that is helpful or buy online where you can actually get good customer service and you better be able to take your stuff back not even one day later than the 10 days or you are going to be stuck with some very expensive insoles that you will never use. Or actually go onto and buy some insoles for half the price. The nice touch with the Walking Company is that they let you try on so many different insoles to make sure they are right for your fit.

I bought a pair of shoes online because the catalog said I could return them to my local store. They did take back the shoes but would only pass on to corperate for refund at 3 weeks I am still waiting for the check to be mailed to me

Awful store, hopefully it will just go out of business and save everyone the trouble of making the wrong decision to buy shoes here. Good luck trying to exchange or return shoes even if never worn. Terrible customer service and return policy. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. Bye Felicia!

I purchased abeo shoes(product number 3600) from this store and after the first two weeks of wearing them the sole began to come apart. so j went back in and exchanged them thinking maybe that one pair was defective. well another 2 – 3 weeks later it happens AGAIN. So I went to exchange them again and the manager(old lady) told me that if it happens again they were going to have to put me in a new shoe, she had a bad attitude about it acting like I was trying to scam them for some reason. so the THIRD time around 12/02/2015 I went to finally just get a refund on my money and the guy working there had to call the manager and she said I could not get a refund because it’s the third time now I have came in and I was past the 30 days(i was 5 days over). To make matters worse the guy told me that it was my fault and that I broke the shoe. then told me to call customer service and that they would be able to give me a refund. so o call customer service and they told me the same thing! I find it irritating that this store lacks so much professionalism and customer service. the guy basically lied to me just to get me out of the store and was extremely rude. DONOTSHOPHERE. they don’t care about customer service, all they care about is making money and their ridiculous policies. walking company you have just lost a customer and many more because I am telling everyone about this incident.

12÷20÷14 I went in to ask them what can I do with my damaged Bailey Button Uggs boot that was discolored because of there cleanser product that I purchased over thanksgiving break in Nashua, NH. First the old lady said she’s never heard of such things and asked if I used the right product. I showed her which product I used and she first went off saying I should’ve diluted the solution 1:2, when the bottle said 1:1. Second she asked where I purchased the boot, I said Zappos, repeated it in such manner as if it was a knock off item and then tried to make it seem as if I did the order of the cleansing wrong. Then guy simply said he’s never heard of this ever happening and said best thing to do is just call Customer Service & gave me the number. I called Customer Service and they claimed the associate that I bought the cleansing product from stated that I never specified that I needed a leather cleanser for Uggs, that I only wanted a leather cleaner. So all they offered me was a $ 50GC for inconvenience that I have not gotten yet and a refund on my cleanser purchase. I’m out a pair of boots and basically lost $ 150 for nothing because of this associate.

We went in to that store to buy a pair of uggs boots found the ones we wanted bought them everything was great they gave us the recipe and we went on our way as we were walking thru the mall we stopped at another shoe store for my boyfriend and while we were there I saw the same pair of uggs for a Cheaper price and on the walking company recipe and I quote«we guarantee the best price. We guarantee that our prices are fair. If you purchase shoes from us at regular price ans see them advertised for less we will give you triple the difference in store credit.» So I got proof from the other store with the cheaper rice and took. It to the walking company and they then said they can’t give us the difference because triple the difference is more than $ 100. That isn’t what it says on the recipe so it pissed me off we returned the boots and and went and bought the boots at the other store and I will NEVER buy any thing from the walking company again!!!
