My new favorite Mexican restaurant. Decent price, clean (very important) and great customer service

My first time at this location. Got the monster chorizo burrito. All the chorizo was burnt as well as the tortilla. It was terrible. I don’t get how you can serve burnt anything. I mean you obviously know it’s burnt cause it’s black and you can smell it. My hands smelled burnt from just holding it.

I feel slighted that I missed the invite to this taco shop /​cantina party. Apparently everyone else in Escondido knew about it and eats here for Saturday lunch. The menu here is Burrito focused with some special value deals. The food is solid but average for a taco shop. The kids menu is a great value and even comes with a mini churro.
— Do not like the undercooked tortilla on the monster burrito. Kills the taste but probably holds the insides better.

Worst experience! Hopeless food & poor customer service. Went in with my family we all are different dishes none of them was good. I will never recommend this place .I asked cashier to add sour cream she said its included and when I picked up my order she said we have to pay extra … Spent $ 80 dollars n this is what I get

We sat and waited for 2 breakfast burritos for over 20 minutes! Oh yea, and the burrito sucked! Wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy!

I used to come here all the time to pick up my favorite rolled tacos. And the salsa was always really good.
Today we went to have some food and drinks at the cantina for happy hour. My husband and I sat at the bar and saw two girls working, Victoria and Jessica. The place looked like it was just dying down from the rush. We sat there for about 10 minutes until we asked if we can get some beers. We order our beers and the girl comes back and apologizes about no one greeting us. I really wanted to order some rolled tacos but because we were experiencing really horrible service by both these girls we decided to ask for our check after only drinking one beer each. My husband then gave Jessica his credit card and she proceeded to leave his card on top of the counter, all out in the open. Left it there for 10 minutes and then Victoria asked us if we paid. Umm. well we did give them our card, which they had no idea where it went. Thank goodness I was keeping an eye on it. I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for 10 years and never have I encounter such bad service! We will never come back here again! At least if Victoria is working because is was the one the completely ignoring us our entire visit and even checked her cell phone right in front us of while my husbands credit card was on the counter waiting to be swiped.

Burritos and tacos are okay but way too overpriced and their meat is not quality. I knew I should’ve just stayed going to Lourdes they never disappoint and their employees are at least nice

I gotta say, this place makes some pretty thick and tasty rolled tacos. And unique than any other Bertos place I’ve found. The tortilla is thick almost like flautas and the inside either has very seasoned fresh shredded beef or they have to add beans to it because it has that flavor to it!
They were delicious! And totally not like your typical rolled tacos either. Good job!

After a hike on Elfin Forest mountain we stopped here to pick up some food to refuel.
There are two sides to this place, the sit down stay a while with a full bar side and the order to take away but but if you want to take a seat at one of our little tables and eat real quick you can do that too side. Since we were taking our food to go, we went to the fast food side.
While waiting for your food, they have a salsa bar with a few different salsa choices to go on your meal or to dip the complementary bags of chips at the front counter. Perfect little appetizer.
I ordered the rolled taco supreme… Solid choice. The shredded white meat rolled chicken tacos (also known as taquitos) were nice a crispy heavily topped with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole and tomatoes. The looks matched the taste.
If you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food in this area, this place is quick and tasty.

I would have given less if were possible. I ordered a burrito and got more than I asked for. After a few bites I discovered a piece of plastic in my burrito. When I retrieved it I was SHOCKED to discover that it was a whole zip lock bag. When I called the restaurant to tell them about the massive mistake I was told «you have to understand, it’s really busy». That was more than upsetting, but to top it when I wrote to corporate I thought they would reply quickly. Well it’s been 4 days and I’ve yet to get any kind of reply. Long story short, eat here at your own risk.

I come eat here pretty often. Customer service is good. Cashiers kinda already know what my usuals are or what I like to eat and often give me pretty good recommendations. My favorite food here are the carnitas mini tacos! Soooo good! And the red salsa is delicious! Monster burritos are really good too! My favorites are the surf n turf and fish burrito. A couple days ago the manager recommend the chille relleno burrito with carne asada… FANTASTIC! Overall customer service ⁵⁄₅

I came here to get a quick bite to eat before heading back to work. The lady at the register greeted me and was very nice. I asked for 3 rolled tacos with the works; lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese, Guacamole and sour cream. Those have been by far the best chicken rolled tacos i have tasted. The chicken was very tasty and the corn tortilla was crunchy and not soggy at all. So u ask why a 4 star? Well turns out they ran out of salsa.

Outstanding food. I make a bee line here every time I am in Escondido. The food is outstanding and the service is the same. I could not be any happier.

Decent food with a good salsa bar and cantina next door. Free chips and salsa at the cantina as long as your drinking lol.
The bartender is very attentive and hard working.
A good place to catch the NFL games as they have both drink specials and food specials. It does get filled up quickly.

So for the half order of Carne asada fries they give you so little and charge almost $ 7 it’s beyond ridiculous. I always order a half order when I get this from other places and never come close to finishing it but this was so little I ate it and was still hungry! And the fries were soggy and mushy gross, what a rip off.

Delicious chicken rolled tacos! The «guac» is a bright green color and almost the consistency of sour cream but I didn’t mind it. Would have also preferred to have the cheese a little more melted but I would definitely order this again!

Was VERY DISAPPOINTED when we had ordered a monster Cali burrito. The burrito was 90% tortilla and the rest of it was dried tasteless meat. Hardly any guacamole, sour cream, to be honest hardly anything inside at all. When you’re paying well over $ 10 for a monster burrito your expecting to get what you pay for. Sad customer service and will never go back again, I felt like I was exploited because the lack of Spanish.

I absolutely LOVE that you can help yourself to as much as you want. I’m all about sauces and extra sides. They also do «monster burritos» that are the size of a newborn baby.
I tried their Monster Fries (fries + cheese + sour cream + guacamole + hold the meat) which was super disappointing. They are super stingy with the sour cream and guac, so most of my fries were practically plain. I’ve definitely had better. They do AYCE brunches, and there are plenty of seating.
