Carl’s Jr. / Green Burrito

First off, I’d like to thank the folks working here on Wednesday, January 27^th at or around 1 P.M. When I alerted the staff that a parent had left their child’s excrement all over the childrens play place, they sprang into action to get it cleaned up immediately, no small feat if you ask me, definitely promotion worthy!
Though, it was disgusting grabbing my child, full of some other child’s poo, ultimate the responsibility lays with whatever shitty parent, no pun intended, left it there in the first place. Furthermore, the shitty parent in question didn’t even bother to alert the staff that their child shat all over the play place. I just can’t imagine what you poor folks at this location must see on a daily basis, and I thank you all for your efforts in providing a safe place for kids to eat and play. I may have left fuming, angry, and outright pissed, but it wasn’t directed at you folks working diligently. I was angry at the fact that a parent would be so bloody irresponsible, and that they would not take responsibility for their child’s mishap.
To the brave and beautiful young lady they sent to clean up the aforementioned mess; Thank you! I appreciate you, and I wish you well.

Pretty much all of the stereotypical issues with a bad fast food experience will probably happen here. Every since John the order taker left it’s been difficult to communicate on the fast food quack box. Bad speaker quality and language barrier issues abound. They got my last order right, but that hasn’t always been the case. It’s a shame, this location used to be better.
— You’ll always be asked to pull up to front and wait.
— Very slopped with the burger wrapping.
— Green Burrito is fine, but just don’t trust the quality at this location.
— They do have a play set for the kids
— They also require a token for the bathroom, how fun
— Not as terrible as the Carl’s Jr. on Mission.

Night service sucks ass! At the intercom there was a 10 minute wait, a couple of people backed out. Once the girl was ready to take my order she couldn’t even understand a simple order I gave her, I had to yell it at her very slowly. When I got to the window it seem like she was fooling around with her peer. I can understand when you are at work that you want to make it fun, but when there is a customer it’s time to get down to business. I think you guys need a new employee working the intercom because if you can’t understand a simple order then you shouldn’t be taking them in the first place! Food was ok, but the fries sucked ass!

Love the food, especially the burgers. Service isn’t too bad, pretty quick as well. The only issue I have is WHY OH WHY must you add so much ice to my drink? My frosty beverage is not getting any colder with ice to the brim. Two sips and its empty. Come on Carl’s Jr. you’re better than that.

Rude employees. They just can’t get your order right. Then they deliver the food to the wrong person. Don’t wash there hands. Not going back.

Just tried the new jalapeño poppers! Apparently they start selling them tomorrow, I walked in and two female employees were trying to put up the sign for the jalapeños, but they were too short so I offered to help. I guess that’s why they sold them to me? Ok, so you would think this side item is the same anywhere you go, right? Wrong. Instead of the full jalapeño chile inside the breaded, cheesy mouthful, these guys have diced-​up jalapeño pieces all through it! That way you don’t bite off more than you can chew, and you don’t burn a hole in your mouth — cause you know how hot that melted cheese gets! Love it, and for $ 3 six medium size pieces is fair.

I LOVE junk food and Carl’s Jr. is usually my first choice to get a burger. Unfortunately, not all Carl’s Jr’s have the same standards.
This Carl’s Jr. is a joke. They rarely get my order right when I hit the drive-​through. I’ve come home to find items missing, or items that were supposed to be onion free COVERED in onions instead. I even found that my cheeseburgers were burned to a crisp one time. The only reason I kept torturing myself with the horrible service was the location of this store. No more though. I’d rather drive miles out of my way then go here again.
On another note, the best reason to go to Carl’s Jr. was their ranch dressing. It came in a little square package with a purple label. Well, they got rid of it! They replaced the yummy deliciousness with some crappy facsimile. Too sweet and just gross in general.
Do not go here, unless you want to ruin your lovely meal with disappointment.

Carls jr is and always will be one of my favorites, but when I see what $ 20 gets me I can only say I was seriously ripped off. It will be a while before I go back again seeing and how there are better restaurants where the price is justified.

If I could give this place no star at all then I would. As I was standing in front of the counter waiting to order, I noticed a lady in the back cutting up a cucumber without gloves. In the process after cutting them into pieces, she stopped and rubbed her nose. Then without even washing her hands she picked up the pieces and put them away. Disgusting right?
So I order a Big Carl and neither of the two registers were working so the girl used the drive thru register. When my food was ready the girl asked if I wanted ketchup and I said no but I would like BBQ sauce. Sure enough they didn’t have any. She said they ran out and keep in mind this is during lunch hour. I guess thats fast food for you. I will NEVER be coming back to this joint.

Just like another recent reviewer stated, this used to be a quality restaurant that appears to have gone very much downhill.
Stopped in this morning to grab a Breakfast Hamburger combo with large coffee. The follow up response I got from whomever was taking my order was entirely unintelligible. I explained that I couldn’t understand her and that I have a bit of a hearing problem and the slightly slower and louder multiple attempts after that were still no less unintelligible. So I went with the standard «Yeah, sure, whatever is supposed to be on it» and apologized for not being able to understand what she was saying.
When I got to the window they were polite and smiled and reasonably quick with my order… which doesn’t quite make up for the fact that when I got home the only part of the order that was correct was the large coffee. I’m reasonably sure the Breakfast Burger should have cheese and potato rounds and maybe some egg, what I got is slathered in barbecue sauce and onion rings and French fried peppers. I am *not* a fan of barbecue sauce, so I’m struggling with trying to make the best of it and eat it anyway.
So it looks like I’ll be joining the other reviewer and regularly patronize the Carl’s across from the Lowes.

Used to be 5 stars. I loved this place great staff super friendly always got what I wanted
BUT NOW… they hired a few new people not a single one is friendly my order has been messed up numerous times and to top it all off apparently they stopped carrying ranch.
Ok maybe not literally but the past three times I have been there (THREE TIMES), probably about 2 – 3 weeks between each visit, they have been completely out of ranch! I don’t know about you guys but how the heck am I supposed to eat my criss cuts with out ranch?! Blasphemy! I won’t be coming back here. I will take my service to the one across from lowes.

Should have read the reviews, When we went in there were 2 people who had been through the drive thru showing the cashier that they had not received what they ordered, but I thought the pictures looked good and wanted a $ 6 dollar burger.
Took some time to be waited on and they did give me my señor discount, then said that they didn’t have lids for the medium drinks. Problem? Well it was a To Go order, going home in the car. Lids were delivered before they finally finished our order.
We are a 5 minute restaurant to our front door trip home, so I’m guessing the fries were cold before we left the restaurant, not from the trip.
Had to reassemble the burger, all the pickles on one side, the onions and tomatoes on the other. Once done it did taste good.
Can’t say the same for my Coke, it really needed some Coke flavor.
Oh, one of the staff did smile!

Twice I’ve been here in the past month. Both times I received something other than what I ordered. The first time I tried to order a Western Bacon Thickburger, and I was surprised when the price was less than it said on the board. After a lengthy discussion trying to clarify that she understood what I was ordering, I left the counter, not entirely convinced that I would be receiving a Western Bacon Thickburger instead of a regular Western Bacon Cheeseburger, but trusting that cashier’s staunch insistence that she heard me would result in the correct burger. As you probably predicted, my trust was sadly misplaced.
The second time, I ordered the same thing, and saw on the receipt the correct burger. But when it came to me, it was the Texas BBQ Thickburger.
In addition to these problems, the line was literally (and I mean that in the literal sense) backed up the entire time with people complaining about their order being wrong for one reason or another.
On the plus side, none of the (wrong) food I received was bad — on the contrary, as far as greasy, heart-​attack-​inducing, disgusting fast food burgers go, the Texas BBQ one was pretty damn good. Just so long as you don’t mind getting whatever random menu item the staff sees fit to bring you, you should leave satisfied. However, if you have something specific in mind that you want, you may be sorely disappointed.

This was the SLOWEST place I’ve ever been to. I waited 10 minutes inside in line then decided the drive thru looked better. Sat there for another 13 minutes. I cancelled my order. I’m about to move to this. neighborhood and I’ll never go here again. Thx for nothing.

Ordered taco salad really good. And you cant beat the 2 for $ 5 western cheeseburger. Best carls jr here in escondido staff is very friendly.

This is a good Carls JR. Usually fast in the drivethru. Always a great deal to be had and I love The Green Burrito.

Very nice staff. I was impressed with the suggestions of what I could possibly be happy with and the smiles. I’m a sucker for a smile.
The food is good too. Nice and fresh. Doesn’t taste like it was dropped in nasty fat.
