Not sure if Victors changed their name to Maxi’s Café, but when we went to the Bel Air to a meal, the name on the receipt showed Maxi’s Café. Inside we found a place that used to have a good crowd but on this night, there were only two other couples. There was no energy in the place. Next, not sure what look they are going for as it is part sports bar look with tvs and sports prints and part Las Vegas lounge. The menu has been reduced from before. We ordered the steak and the salmon. It was ok, not good, not great.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food was less than stellar; nothing unique. I would not come here again.

Great bread. The food was otherwise non exceptional. Aging spinach in the salad and pasta dish that a child could have made. Nice enough waitstaff.

My Wife and I frequently visit Victor’s at the Bel-Aire. We have always had great food, and enjoyed competitive drink prices in the new, more relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great place to have a little classier dinner at a price that’s affordable. The food itself is exquisite, and a much needed refreshing change to the every day fast food stops, or(although we have some fantastic choices) the«corporate menu» options you receive in the more busy parts of town. With scratch recipes, made from local products, like the Railbender haddock sandwich, from our own Erie Brewing Company Railbender, or their signature seafood gumbo, as some examples. We love the location of Victor’s, it is easy to get to, and set far enough away from the peach street traffic, and the sometimes chaotic down town night life of the weekends. If all you want is dinner and a couple drinks and not the hassle of going out of your way to visit, this is the place. We highly recommend everyone… family, friends, girls night out, or dinner for 2. Accommodations for all occasions can be met here.
