Places is great. Just moved close by and I could be happier having down the road. Food has been perfect so far. Service is top as well. Food compared to other places is way above in quality. And prices are just low when compared to others.

This place is awesome. Sister and I had the crab legs(only available Friday and Saturday) good size portion. Not a fan of the coleslaw but I’m not usually into it. My mom had the steak tips. They were spicy but still amazing. Drinks were also had. I had a Erie escape. Super delicious cherry vodka, triple sec, and lemonade. Tasted like a Capri sun but in a mason jar. My sister had a classic Cosmo. Not her favorite but we like trying new drinks. Somehow the bill was only $ 50. That was a steal for crab legs and steak. They have a bunch of arcade games and even pull tabs. Lots of tvs showing sports. If we were local this would be my watering hole.

Very good food. Very good service. I would recommend it. We had wings, fish sandwiches, and philly cheese. All delicious. Even had live music.

Wing special is a joke. First timer wanted 20 wings and what I couldn’t eat I would take home I was very rudely told from the waitress that you can only order what you want to eat you are not allowed to take them home. Well I guess I wasn’t ordering anything then. How can you judge how many you are going to eat what if I ordered 10 and only ate 6 I would have to throw my other 4 away… Won’t be back

Hard to beat their wing night, 30 cent wings after 8 pm and they are better than average. Also tons of TVs making it a solid place to catch a game.

Great experience. Business was busy, staff on the ball never waited for a thing. Food was really good. Wings crispy and tasty. Buger fresh and full of flavor. You will not be disappointed.

Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. First off, the staff is incredibly helpful and always professional. Indoor and outdoor seating is nice in Erie for both climates. The food is awesome(try the ahi tuna tacos.) and if you can get a table on Wednesday, get the wings. Great wings for probably the best price around. Also, an incredible beer selection. Five stars from me.

An awesome place!!! Love it, Love it, love it! Crabby cake sandwich is my favorite and fried calamari would make a great start. And if you like something a bit more hot go for an ugly tuna burger! Service is always fast and they are dog friendly. Highly recommend.

Craving wings while in Erie and decided to try out«Ugly Tuna Tavern» I always assumed it was a local type bar. The place is small but quaint. There wasn’t a hostess so we sat ourselves and got waited on right away. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Wings and the«Dry Cranch» wings(Cajun/ranch) Its refreshing when you see new wing recipes on a menu. The Jam Jerk were spicy just like I expected and were good. The Dry Cranch flavor was — ok. I regretted not getting the«wet» cranch they might have had a bit more flavor. I like my wings done crispy but with a side of their sauce. our waitress was on the ball and I liked the side of jam jerk sauce. My friend ordered the«Ahi Tuna Tacos» and said they were good. I thought the nachos were a cute touch on the dish. The menu wasn’t typical — it was unique. I liked it. .and I would go back.

My girlfriend and I decided to try the Ugly Tuna after seeing their wing special advertised outside. We arrived and quickly discovered that the wing special only applies Wednesday and Thursday’s. Apparently that was on the sign but a quick driving past glance makes it appear otherwise. We decided to stay anyways and enjoy the outside patio seating. The beer selection was good. She got the crabby cake sandwich and enjoyed it. I was craving a pizza, and I cannot emphasize enough to NOT order this menu item. This was honestly the worst pizza I have ever tasted in my entire life. Truly disgusting. Thin, gross crust, sandy rubbery cheese. No sauce. A $ 2 frozen pizza at Walmart would have been gourmet compared to this. We also got wings as an appetizer, and the sauces were good with large sized wings. They do not grill their wings after saucing, so be prepared for a saucy wet mess. If you prefer more dry wings this is not the place for you.

Best tavern in the Erie/Millcreek area, by far! Awesome 30cent wing specials Wednesday and Thursday nights 8−11pm, live music Friday nights, happy hours, drink specials, dinner specials, lunch specials, Wednesday night karaōke, beautiful service industry babes, outside seating when weather permits, and very close location to the peninsula and Erie beaches :) COMEGETSUMMMM

First, let me say I was excited for some reason to try the place out. Decent bar and grille atmosphere. The bar and grille food looked good. But I did something I shouldn’t have done. I ordered the tuna tacos at the Ugly Tuna. The tuna was ugly, indeed. The taste was horrible and some bites tasted downright foul. Everyone else had great meals… typical bar fare. But avoid the tuna, it is Ugly Tuna after all! Overall good spot by the park. Just don’t get too exotic on the menu.

My fiancé and I saw that this place replaced Backyard burgers and thought to try it. We got the calamari to share as an appetizer. Pretty tasty but the portion was small to share. Not too oily and the breading was tasty. My boyfriend ordered the cajun burger and I got the«house special» tuna wrap and a side salad. He ordered the burger medium and it came out well done. He thought it was pretty generic and nothing special. The fries were really tasty and salted well. They were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and there were plenty of them. I don’t know why but I thought the tuna would be more like an ahi tuna wrap but when it came out, it was pretty much canned tuna with lettuce and tomato in a crispy wrap. I wasn’t impressed with it because it was like something I could make at home. The salad was your standard house salad fare. Nothing special but definitely not bad. The décor and the service were both pretty good. I would come back to try the wings and get some more fries.

The tavern opened up this week, so naturally, plenty will change over the coming months as they work through their growing pains. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and it’s nice to have another option down near the Peninsula. The bar’s décor is modern and the giant windows bring in plenty of natural light and let one car watch on Peninsula Drive. There is a nice outdoor seating area which will be great once the weather warms up. While there was plenty that I wanted to try on the menu, I opted for the wings. They were very good — big, sloppy, with good flavor and a nice crisp — which was no surprise considering the co-owner of Doc Holiday’s opened this bar. They had about a dozen different flavors, so plenty of options. My girlfriend wasn’t too hungry, so she went with their soup of the day — a chicken noodle — which she said was fine, but unimpressive. We both munched on some shrimp cocktail, in which the shrimp was large, fresh, and flavorful. As for negatives, there isn’t much seating and the bar was cold. This, I assume, are growing pains and they’ll figure it out as the weeks pass. I also hope that they improve their menu(which one can find on their Facebook page). I’m a wing guy, sure, but it’d be nice to have more bars which aspire to more than your typical bar food. Also… they really need to get some local beers on tap. Overall, a good(although not spectacular) experience. I could see myself swinging by here after a long day at the beach. I’ll be back to try more on their menu soon. Oh, Thursdays from 8−11pm is their $ 0.30 wing special. It’d be worth a trip then, for sure.
