Yum! You must stop if you’re visiting Erie like I was. Being exiled to a community without a good local candy maker makes one appreciate Stefanelli’s all the more.

Two words: SPONGE CANDY!!!
If you’re ever in Erie from out of town you MUST stop in and get some sponge candy! If you are living in Erie you MUST stop in and get sponge candy… every day! It’s just that amazing…
I have no clue how they make it but it just melts in your mouth. Delicious chocolate with a light caramel type filling that crunches as you bite in. I really can’t begin to describe how awesome it really is. You just have to take my word for it.
It’s my favorite chocolate candy in the world and we even gave them as wedding favors. I believe it’s unique to the area, so get stock up… and bring me some too!

Best chocolate in Erie. Hands down. I am an experienced chocolate taster. I have had Romelo’s, which is a very close tie, but Stefanelli’s takes the win. The staff is friendlier too so thats a plus! The chocolate is reasonably priced as well.
I’m in love with their milk and dark chocolate. Delicious!
