A bit on the pricy side but I think it’s worth it. The full body suits I feel is overkill. The track itself is a great setup, lots of different variations of turns, good mixture of high speed sweepers, chicanes, and tightening turns that challenge what you think might be a good line. They change it up and switch directions every so often so that’s fun. We went after some rain had fallen and the tires were cold so the first few laps took some concentration but it stayed fun, and muddy. Be sure to check their schedule for race weekends before you go, you don’t want to show up and get turned away, the staff is very friendly though. Look out for the chicane near the inside straight, it’ll toss you around :)

Best go kart action I have ever experienced. I am definitely doing this again. It would be nice if they kept track of lap times.

If you’re a racing fan, and like go-kart racing(not amusement park go-karts, I mean real karts) then this is a great place to check out. It’s an outdoor facility adjacent to one of the runways at the centennail airport. It features a fantastic track that’s nearly a half mile in length. Their karts will run upwards of 45mph on the track, and they take some strength to handle for 10 minutes. I think it’s like $ 30 per race, and you get about 10 minutes, maybe a dozen laps or so. The value of price/time racing is a little rough unless you’re a real racing enthusiast. Otherwise, it might not be the best place to spend your dollar. But it’s definitely a challenge, and it’s not your regular go-kart. It’s not easy to find the best line, and be fast. You tend not to be able to race right next to someone all race long because everyone will be at different speeds because of their skill, so if you can find someone who is at your skill level, it will be a better experience. One thing that sets this place down a notch(and makes it 4 stars not 5 stars, is that they don’t have a timing system. I’m not asking for telemetry readouts or laptimes popping up on a HUD on the wheel, but a printout sheet at the end of a race with your laptimes would be great — then you can mark your progress from one race to the next, and compare yourselves against other drivers. Since the real race isn’t who finished first(at a place like this) it’s who’s the fastest. Overall it’s a fun experience, a little pricey, but for a group activity when you’re in the neighborhood, it’s hard to beat. And if you feel like going, let me know first, I’ll meet you there and show you how to go fast ;-)
