Don’t believe a word they tell you on the phone. Specifically«Kelly». Promised more then ten new 16 c.u. freezers are in stock for $ 449, but only one new 20 c.u. unit left for $ 623. Got there, Kelly said she never said the smaller freezers were new, and she forgot to mention that the«new», larger unit was completely mangled on three sides… Sears Outlet is an ETHICS-FREEZONE. Stay away.

They have a wide selection of factory refurbished appliances here — scratch ‘n’ dents, returns, etc — all with discounts from the regular retail prices. The staff have an extensive knowledge of the inventory and are very helpful to show you around the various items. We have bought a dishwasher, a laundry washer, and a dryer. They are all doing really well, no issues since we installed them. We bought the two laundry machines about 8 months ago and the dishwasher over a year ago. The next time I need appliances, I will definitely check here first.

I had a very odd occurrence at this Sear’s Outlet, and it was handled professionally… then again not so much. We purchased a King sized mattress less than a year ago, there. It was«marked down» from $ 2700, as we were shown the original asking price label and all the discounts — down to $ 880. It was a pillow top, and we had never owned a pillow top before. Well, what we got in less than a year were two indentations and a large hump in the middle of the mattress. A huge clue that it was NOT and NEVERHADBEEN a $ 2700 bed. I have arthritis in my lower back and my husband has had low back surgery and a good bed is the only answer for us. Through the warranty dept I went, them saying that as an Outlet store, the warranty was not valid. A 10 year, no prorate warranty, we thought we were getting when we bought it. This is what took me back to the store. They DID honor the warranty, and gave me store credit. The high priced mattresses I didn’t trust, and the lower priced ones I trusted even less. But, I found one that was less than we had paid but seemed like a higher quality item The salesman who actually handled the transaction this time was extremely nice and accommodating. They issued a gift card for the difference. The very same day, my husband, who manages a high end furniture store, had a REAL $ 2500 mattress returned to him after the customer had it three days. He consulted with his supervisor, and since the mattress was to have it’s tags removed and the mattress destroyed, he was allowed to take it home. So, now I had three mattresses, one worthless, one from Sears and one that beat them all, hands down. I called the manager, Morgan, and he was, in spite of his reluctance in reporting the issue to Corporate, I am sure, asked if I could return the original(bad) mattress and the new one I had left with. It was still in my garage, unwrapped. He told me to bring them in, which I did, and he gave me a store credit for the mattress. The only complaint I have, is that he just didn’t seem like he WANTED to do any of it. I had the feeling that he just wanted me to go away. An older gentleman, who helped remove the Sears mattress from my vehicle, had an attitude problem — he was like something between a Drill Sergeant and a bad High School football coach. All in all, they did stand behind their product, and I appreciate that. Although Morgan wished it would just go away, he managed to hold in his frustration — and I’m sure I was a real pain in the ass.
