We have visited about 5 times in the past year. Donuts are fresh but nothing frilly. By 10am they have a limited selection. A good option for the Parker area.

Donuts are good BUT they never make enough. They have hours listed on website but don’t plan on going past 9:30 or 10 on any day and them actually being open. Personally, I will not be back as hours are too unpredictable.

Buttermilk bar was dry and left a weird aftertaste. Felt like I was eating a donut from King Soopers. Expected more.

Great donuts, I like cake donuts but not a fan of the waxie residue you get in your mouth when eating them. Lora’s cake donuts are perfect! No residue, just great cake donuts! My husband and I come get a few dozen once a month for work.

Maybe they are good maybe they aren’t but I show up on a Friday at 9 am and they only have 4 donuts in the store and the people behind the counter could careless. You lost my business.

Quick, orderly, and the donuts were fantastic. Don’t get the apple fritter. It’s the size of a house and if you eat it all it will lay you out. It was worth it though.

I have been here a few times now and the donuts are awesome! My favorite is the bear claw. I just finished one… but it is a challenge because it is HUGE! Their cinnamon rolls are also huge but I have not tried one yet. I have had the cake donuts also, which are lemony and have the perfect texture. I don’t get why this place is rated so low! There are a few local donut places rated higher that I have tried recently and they were worse than getting truck stop donuts. I haven’t tried their coffee, but it always smells good.

I’ve only ever been here for the donuts, but you will never have an apple fritter as good a Lora’s apple fritter anywhere else! They’re in a prime location for people traveling from Denver to anywhere south, and they definitely are the best donuts in town! If you’re craving a donut fix and heading this direction I would 100% recommend Lora’s!

Closing HOURS should say VARIES! Do not go by what they have on store window or Unilocal. They close or will kick you out once they’ve «sold out!» I was in the area so decided to stop by and try out the place, and catch up on some work. I got there a little after 9am and hours said opened until 1pm — great I’ll have time to work on emails, etc. First impression: nice and clean on the outside… the inside was big and pretty empty. Got their white chocolate mocha, bad idea. It tasted like watered down hot chocolate. Then I looked around and there were only 2 outlets at the same corner under the tv; no where near the tables where I can plug-in my laptop. After working for about an hour, I got up to order half a dozen to take home and tried the blueberry donut cake, it was pretty good. Thick and flavorful. Sat back down to do some more work… about 30 mins later, someone comes out to announce«ok, we’ve sold out for the day so we’re closing!» And it wasn’t even 11am. What happened to 1pm? Final impression: my first and last visit.

Lora, You made one of many of my wedding events freaking fantastic. my wedding cake was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention we got to pick 6 different flavors for my wedding cake, so everyone got a taste of everything. You get a free tasting before you decide to go with them. The frosting is amazing. Not to mention we were still eating wedding cake 2 weeks after and it was still so moist and delicious! I will recommend this place to anyone! Thank you guys so much for making this part of my wedding a piece of cake ;) literally! Thank you, Brooke!

I was in Parker for a doctor’s appointment and stopped in here afterwards. This is a former Lamar’s Donuts and has a drive-thru. The space is pretty large inside and there are all manners of donuts, HUGE donuts! You can easily split one donut with 2 people. The space inside was pretty large. There is regular coffee, as well as lattes. They use Dazbog coffee, which is eh, in my opinion. They also live up to the bakery part of the name with various cupcakes, lemon bars, brownies, etc. Everything looked very tempting. I took a couple of donuts, one for my manager and one for me. I enjoyed the dense, coconut flavor of whatever donut I purchased. It kept me full for several hours. LOL

I had to weigh in on Lora’s Donuts. The donuts are very good. The people behind the counter are generally nice. Their problem is, they bake what they bake and that’s it. If they run out, you’re welcome to come another day. Being on Lincoln Avenue, they get a lot of people stopping in for donuts for the office. Often, multiple dozens. It’s not uncommon for them to have a very limited selection by 9:30 or 10:00 in the morning. And frankly, that seems perfectly okay with the owner. Further, when they get really low on donuts, they simply close. I’ve driven from Castle Rock to buy donuts only to be met with locked doors and a sign telling me they’re out of donuts. Lora’s seems to get away with the abbreviated hours while I’ve seen it doom other similar businesses. I’ll admit I get frustrated when I can’t buy what I want during«regular business hours» or find a decent selection during those hours. NOTE: For those near downtown Castle Rock or willing to drive there, there’s a new donut place in the middle of town, The Donut House. They’re open 7 days a week, 5AM to 2PM and when they run low on donuts, THEYBAKEMORE! Best of all, the donuts are terrific!

Great donuts and great service. Lora’s also stands out because there is more seating room than your typical bakery/donut shop. I have only tried the donuts the few times I have been but the other bakery items look good as well. The donuts are similar to a Lamar’s.

Lora’s used to be a Lamar’s doughnuts. Growing up in Kansas City, the Lamar name means something(and not just for the best doughnuts around). I am sad to say that even though Lora’s claims to have kept the same recipe after it purchased the location, their quality and prices have fallen behind. I compare all doughnuts to Lamar’s or Bosa Doughnuts in the Phoenix area. Bosa’s are by far the freshest, best tasting doughnuts on the market. Everything there is soft, sweet and served warm. It literally does not get any better. Also, you can get a dozen doughnut holes(chocolate or plain glazed) for $ 1.25 so it doesn’t break the bank. At Lora’s you can expect to pay 400% more for the same doughnut holes and they will come out stale and flavorless. I have given Lora’s multiple opportunities to earn my business but I will be driving to Littleton if I want true Lamar’s quality.

Decent donuts with a friendly face earns Lora’s a solid 3-star. For a dozen donuts, $ 17 did not seem too bad for the quality of donut I received. Scattered across the dozen were maple bars(which apparently are specialty donuts, gasp), buttermilk bars, an apple fritter the size of my model-like hands, and a couple of sprinkled rounds. Myself and the co-workers enjoyed the treat with much abandoned. In other words, we were sloppy and let the sprinkles go everywhere in our offices. Whoops! I would recommend not going through the drive through. Ordering donuts is a visual experience, and the old dirty menu sitting outside is not going to help you visualize anything tasty and sweet. However, if you are able to go in, you will find a solid establishment in the famous«food desert».

This place has decent donuts, when they actually have them in stock. Every time we’ve visited, they’re always sold out of the most common flavors. «Can I get a regular glazed donut?» Nope. «Chocolate iced?» All gone. «Powdered?» Try again. «Anything sprinkled?» Not happening. «Well, what do you have left?» Either coconut or m&m topped donuts. «I’ll pass, thanks.» What a shame! Could have been our regular donut shop, but they just never have any of the good flavors in stock.

I’ve been there twice now and I’m just not impressed. Each time, my family and I have purchased about 8 different pastries. They’re not very sweet or flavorful. We’ll take a few bites of each, think that the taste is bland and throw the rest away. The worst is the lemon bar. Buying a lemon bar mix at the grocery store and making it yourself yields a far tastier tray of lemon bars. The ones at Lora’s Donuts are very bland. They’re like flavorless chewy jelly. The reason I give 2 stars not 1 is that when I’ve been there, the place has been clean. And, my body is very sensitive to preservatives, fillers and artificial ingredients and I’ve never felt ill at all after eating there. I suspect that the ingredients are all natural and high quality, based on this. The chai was not bad and I finished it, but it’s the least good chai I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t buy that again. Each time I’ve been there, the service has been prompt but not friendly. I feel like they think they’re doing me a favor by letting me pay them. The last time we were there, the weather was nice and my family sat outside. According to the sign on the door, the shop was supposed to be open for at least another hour. The display cases were about 1⁄3 full of bakery items. So it looked a bit empty, but there were still at least a hundred pastries left. As my family was eating, a new customer tried to enter the store. I saw a shopkeeper come to the door and tell her«We’re sold out.» The customer looked surprised and asked«Sold out?» and the shopkeeper said«Yes. Sold out» and closed the door and wouldn’t let anyone else inside. I don’t know if they wanted to close the shop and go home early for the day. I don’t believe they apologized to the customer, they just didn’t let her in. Next time I want cookies, donuts or eclairs, I’ll go to Safeway or King Soopers. The Safeway on Yosemite and Lincoln Ave. just a few miles west has a great bakery. It’s a few more miles out of my way, but it’s worth it.

Purchased our wedding cake from Lora’s based on a recommendation from our venue. We were extremely pleased by their expertise, genuine kindness, and willingness to make a cake exactly how we wanted it. The cake itself was one of the highlights of our wedding. Our guests commented on the look and taste of the cake. We could not get enough! We highly recommend Lora’s Bakery for your wedding cake needs!
