No accountability. Followed my hairdresser of over 10 years and never had an issue. She colored my hair, used Olaplex and burned my hair. She refuses to believe that is possible and has done nothing to help. I was nice and still am but she hasnt even called to check on me. This was a 10 year relationship every 8 werks at 255.00 a visit and she has done NOTHING. I am beyond devastated. I never imagined she wouldnt be there in this situation, not even for support. I wont mention her name, she knows what she did. Just be forewarned, do NOT allow Olaplex to be used on you hair. They wont care when they use too much bleach and your hair starts to break. Ehen i called she only offers product, wont rven look at the mess she created because her schedule wont allow it. Customers and salon should take note one of your peers lacks customer aftercare and that is just as important as Services. I've spent almost 1000.00 trying to fix this. If you visit here be careful and don't expect aftercare, ego doesn't allow it to exist.

Kathi Rose did my cut and color today. I couldn’t be more pleased. I had a vision, and she made it come to life! My very first salon experience, and I’m SO glad it was with her. Great work, great personality, and fabulous energy from her! She is awesome!!! Go see her, she will NOT disappoint!!!

Sara does a fantastic job with hair color correction — and she’s a great hair stylist, too. I went to her after a bad cut and color job from a different salon … she did such a good job fixing the problem, I was thrilled! The wonderful hairstyle she gave me was an added bonus. I’ve been going to her ever since — and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great cut and color.

Charmika was amazing. Got a coupon off groupon for a deep conditioning treatment for my husband. Charmika came in on her day off and a national holiday to take care of my husband since it was his only day off. She was so nice and friendly too! My husb as nds first trip to a salon and he was in heaven. Thanks charmika!

Went to Char! Best hair experience in the LA area will definitely book another hair appointment with her. My hair felt so clean and so amazing. Thanks Char for an amazing experience!!!

Wife has going here for years, she is a regular customer for her haircuts and goes to Sarah, only her since she knows my wife’s thick hair the way she likes it cut and styled. The price can be pretty steep but she gets the job done and my wife only goes once every 3 – 5 mos. My wife is picky when it comes to having someone else does her hair. Coloring is another story. My wife goes to another place for her hair coloring needs. Check my reviews about that one

Knar is the best electrolysis experience I have had yet in LA. It is unbelievable what a difference it has made in my experience. She uses special tiny needles that don’t hurt at all. I used to break out and get little pimples afterward and with Knar, not only am I not red, I don’t get pimples! I am just so pleased to have found her.

As an east coast native with thick sometimes untamable hair I decided again to search for a press and curl Groupon deal. I fell upon Yates and purchased the groupon. Thankfully I was able to get a same day appt and made the travel to Encino. It was well worth the trip and wait while Char came to the salon just for me. She did a nice shampoo complete with a scalp massage and a deep condition. Then she did a blow dry and we decided to do a flat iron instead of the hot comb press. However she expertly pressed my edges without a fumble of that hot comb. Then she took her time to flat iron my hair bone straight. By the time she was done it had a beautiful shiny bounce. 2 months without a relaxer and with her I don’t feel like I need one. I highly recommend her service as she is nice, and very skilled. Char please don’t leave the area!!! You’re my go to!!! In fact I’m booking an appointment for next week!!!

After moving here from Arkansas I have tried several local hair salons in Encino I have been shocked and very disappointed. I didn’t quit looking. I found Kathi Rose at Yates and Co. We talked before I came in and I warned her of the damage to my hair done by another salon. It caused severe damage to my hair. Yesterday was the day of my appointment and I left happy and satisfied that my hair looked great for one but that she cared enough to assure me we would get my hair back healthy. I would highly suggest her to any new comer to Encino. The color on my hair looks absolutely great. Love it and the care she gave me.

Great salon! Excellent service! They have it all, excellent colorist (Jim has been doing my highlights for years and he gets it right every time), great blow outs and the most phenomenal up dos!

Great salon, I have been going here for years, Jim is the best, I have never had any problems here at this salon, it’s clean, super friendly, and Jim is always making me look good. He does the best cuts and color, I would never go to anyone else.

Went to go get my nails done with Lisa and she did a superb job! She’s was very nice and her station was clean and well-​kept. i don’t normally get my nails but she is worth coming back for! My first time here and I will definitely be back for nail service!

I have been going to this salon for years to see Susie Murray the manicurist. She is by far the best manicurist I have ever gone to! Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and I should know because I’m a dentist and deal with details all day long! I have never ever had a better and more thorough pedicure or manicure. She does what others call a «spa» pedicure, every time without charging extra. My hands and feet look amazing and I always get compliments. Can’t even compare her work to others! As an added bonus, she and everyone there are so friendly and kind to my kids. Susie even polished their nails every time! She’s the best!!!

I had a living social voucher to get a pedicure with Michael and let me tell you – his energy was off the charts! Such a sweet, positive, caring individual who makes you feel so comfortable. I had a great time talking and laughing with him and he did a great job! Was an overall enjoyable experience:-)

We had a living social deal for a pedicure here. We expected that it wouldn’t be great, b/​c it was a $ 15 pedicure, but when we politely asked for the guy to remove the excess polish from the toes, he said it could be washed off when we get home and that this was a $ 15 pedicure. We responded by saying that we understand it won’t be a full pedicure but at the very least the polish should look ok. He responded by telling us that we were rude. We then responded by saying that we wouldn’t feel comfortable getting the second person done, he said «good, I don’t want business from people like you… you had bad energy the entire time you were here». We then went to the manager to talk to him about it, and he responded that «he is usually raved about» with no apology. We will not be going back. Living Social Deal or not, you should at least be treated nicely and professionally.

I have been a client at this salon for 12 years! Jim goes out of his way to accommodate his clients and manages to fit me in whilst never running late!!! My hair always looks great… is easy to handle myself (always important to me) and his prices are extremely reasonable!
Tania, does my waxing and color and she is phenomenal! Always have compliments and am asked where I get my color done.
Recently started having my nails and pedicures done by Susie… this is really a full service salon… and they have NEVER looked or grown better… she is outstanding. Promise you will never be happier than having any beauty service done at this salon!

Poor customer service. Salon is difficult to find as it is in the back of a strip mall.
Actual cut was fairly good but I had to go back to my usual salon to correct color.

Yates salon is Absolutly the BEST. Jimmy done such amazing work.

I love this salon! Every time I go in its a great experience… and I go in twice a month! I get my nails done by Susie, who is fantastic at her job!!! For years I had acrylics and I can’t tell you how many compliments I would get. Susie is meticulous with her work and the best part was that my nails never looked fake and cheap like other places I have gone. Now I get the gel manicure (AKA the 2 week manicure) and I LOOOVE it. I don’t have to put acrylic on my nails but I can still get a beautiful polish that lasts for 3 weeks (if I get lazy & wait that long).
Recently I started getting my 5 yr old’s hair cut there. I know they’re a nice, adult salon but I did it on a whim one day and the hair stylist Anita did such a fantastic job & keep bringing my daughter back! (I have posted a pic) Anita is so great with her and even though I could take her to a kid’s salon I never will again b/​c she’s never had a better cut! She gets compliments EVERYWHERE we go & she eats it up! :)
And the appointment process is so great thanks to Renee (Susie makes her own appts but I go through the front desk for Anita’s appts)! She’s so sweet and helpful. I have been coming here for years and thanks to these ladies and will be coming for many more!
