I went here for the dineLA menu with my friend. It was my first time here and I enjoyed it so much that I want to bring my boyfriend back to introduce him to this place. Fernando was really really awesome, he gave me a couple different tastes of wine he and knew exactly what I would like. I really enjoyed it. I think I’m going to make the spot a place we come to for anniversaries and special occasions. Yeah, I liked it that much! their food is incredible as well. Most importantly, the customer service was 5 stars of course. You guys will definitely be seeing us again.

Came here for DineLA restaurant week the other day. Very cute little place and great friendly service! The place itself is small, but it actually works out really nice and cozy. There is an enclosed outdoor seating area. This is definitely a wine bar, so don’t expect a big beer selection(they have two). Incidentally, their beer is the oldest domestic lager and my husband liked it. Their wine list is impressive and they know their menu. We ordered off the DineLA menu, but we took a look at the regular menu and saw a lot of other things that sounded really good. It is a lot of small plates, like a tapas bar. We ordered: Bruschetta: made with cherry tomatoes and a lot of garlic. Great flavor! Burrata: served in a bowl with diced squash, roasted red peppers, and pumpkin seeds. Very yummy. Margarita flatbread: I wouldn’t order this again. It was ok, but my least favorite thing we ordered. More like a cheese pizza than margarita. Kobe beef sliders: these were good but would have been better if they had more of a sauce on them. The bun was too sweet for me, but my husband liked them. Sonoma lamb meatballs: these were really good, but the best part was the polenta they were served on. It was made with goat cheese and sweetcorn and was absolutely delicious. Would come back for this alone! Carnitas tacos: these looked amazing(I was too full to try any) and very fresh ingredients. My husband really liked them. We were offered dessert but were way too full. This was a FEAST for $ 29. We will have to get dessert next time we come. We will DEFINITELY be back here. It is local, great ambiance, lovely food, and extremely friendly service.

We had a large party, including 2 little ones, and this place was just AMAZING — with both their food and their service. Everyone from the manager to the entire staff was beyond accommodating and friendly. And this place has a fantastic happy hour too, plus live music. We can’t wait to come back!

Had our first of many future visits to The Red Room on Ventura Blvd. in Encino Ca. Red Room is an intimate, simple but tastfully decorated bistro with delicious food and many wine selections served with very generous pours. Try his tasty lamb meatballs, short rib bits or warm figs and cheese plate. And the cheesecake flan style dessert, accompanied by a blue berry compote, melts in your mouth. And musician/owner Fernando has classically trained musicians Jonathan(studied classical guitar in Mexico) and percussionist Javiar from El Salvador lending beautiful guitar and percussion licks to the already great dining experience. These guys are playing for the love of their music. Their version of Malagueña is so cool! Going back soon and telling our friends about this delightful little restaurant! Carol Stevens

Best atmosphere for a relaxing, intimate evening with friends or a date. Fernando and the entire staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The wine selection is specially curated and you can’t go wrong with any choice. Definitely a must-stop in la.

Nice spot with good tapas style food and interesting wine list. Its tucked along a parking lot next to Coral Tree, so you might not expect much, but its a very cool little room which feels more like a lounge than a restaurant, and the patio is nice too. Everything is tasty, and it always seems like a nice change of pace from the typical restaurant scene.

Red room was a fantastic experience. I came here after viewing the location on Unilocal, and absolutely loved the small and cozy atmosphere. Fernando, our bartender has a classic charm, and understanding of the many wines to offer. I would highly recommend this for a quiet date, or afternoon which some friends.

Clearly one of the best evenings we have had in quite awhile. Fernando is Amazing and his knowledge of wines are top notch. We basically picked the food and let him do the pairing. We had wines from all over the world and from places we never thought of as having good wines. Like a great bordeaux from Greece, who new? Well Fernando did and it went so well with the short ribs… I highly recommend this place.

Came here with my girlfriends for some wine and food and we enjoyed ourselves here. One thing is that this place is extremely small but if you make reservations there’s plenty of space for your party inside. The outside portion is a bit bigger. They play music on the weekends from 7:30p-9:30p. Food is great and service is also good. They have valet parking for $ 2.50. I think this place is new because it was not packed at all.

Been back a few times. The food is no longer as good. They’ve changed the menu and took off some of the best dishes, such as the calamari salad. It’s becoming more bar food. I prefer something a bit more gourmet to enjoy my vino with. What is going on with the chef here??? However, I give this place an extra star because as we’ve all stated, Fernando is aaaaamazing! He takes such good care of the customers and knows exactly which wines suit my taste. Food and the kitchen get 3 stars, while Fernando and the wine get 5 stars.

Went for dine LA. 4 course meal was excellent. Mushroom pizza is delish! Chocolate budini dessert is like melted chocolate truffle. So goooood! The main bar/server was excellent at picking our bottle of wine choice. I believe there is $ 6 happy hour until 6. Small, cute, dark and live smooth music at night.

When you walk into the RedRoom, you’re made to feel like a long-time friend thanks to the hospitality, knowledge and expertise of their chief Sommalier, Fernando. The food is good but what sets it apart from the rest, is the fine selection of old world wines they have to offer and the amazing live music, in an incredibly intimate setting. I’ve been there many times and have yet to be disappointed.

I’ve been a fan of The Red Room for a few years now. Not sure why I haven’t reviewed them yet! Sorry Fernando. I was just in tonight w/my best friend for some snacks, wine and conversation. I love, love, love the intimate space and Fernando for being such an amazing owner and wine expert! The food is well priced and always delicious! Great place for a mtg w/clients, date night or just to grab a glass w/friends. I wished I lived closer and had more nights free to be a regular! Much continued success Fernando!

Love it. Small, intimate, fire-put featuring outdoor wine bar with inside bar area and a rather good wine list. Service and server were excellent. We had a chocolate bread pudding and two glasses of a pino noir that I sadly forgot the name of, but was the server’s favorite and rightly so. Only gripe is that some glass pours have a restriction that you need to buy two to justify opening the bottle. It’s not a rule I see at other local, great wine bars and it does shrink your options for glass-only drinks. That’s my only complaint. Parking is pretty good for Encino standards and it was most definitely worth the trip from Valley Glenn to drink here.

I was lucky to try this restaurant out for DineLA week, reservations were hard to come by. And I finally found a place that offered Vegetarian items on their DineLA menu, score! The place is very tiny, once we walked in I assumed the restaurant went further down, but it stopped at 3 tables to the left and 2 tables to the right. They had a covered outside patio area with a few tables, and live music playing. I would say about 12 tables total for the restaurant. I loved the décor, it was all red, of course, red walls, dim lighting. A good place to hang out and relax with live music. We all tried the 4 course meal for $ 30 dinner option for DineLA and were pretty impressed with the amount of food they give you. We even had to take some to go boxes home! (4 star) Appetizer: Torta Espanola= I loved the presentation, the egg and mash potatoes come in a jar, but it didn’t have much flavor, and was too much to finish with the low amount of crostini bread they give you. It was good, but did not have that wow factor that the presentation showed. (1 star) Grilled Artichoke appetizer = The top of the artichoke was cooked but the rest was not, it was so hard to chew, we just spit it out and left it alone. We asked the server about it and he said it should be all cooked, but we didn’t think it was. (5+ star) Second: Flatbread Pizza = this was a favorite at our table. I got the Margarita, and it tasted like a normal pizza, which was good. But the real hit was the flatbread with burrata and fig and kale, it was delicious!(minus the prosciutto for me of course). I wished they drizzled more fig to get more flavor combined with the burrata. But people had this with the prosciutto and they liked it even more! Took a to-go box, it was so good! (4 star) Entrée: Orcchiette Rustica Pasta = vegetarian entrée and I was very pleased with it. I liked the pesto, and the tomatoes, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. This was a small portion compared to the other dishes, but still good. (5 star) Dessert: Chocolate Budino = yum! The chocolate had a great consistency, wasn’t too over powering, tasted perfect. It was enough to share for two! Overall I was very happy that I was able to try out a DineLA restaurant, finally! Being in the Inland Empire, I rarely get this chance to explore out in that area. *One advice to the owner: Maybe clean up the front entrance of the restaurant? It was dirty and dark, full of leaves, and not inviting at all. Does not match to the quality of the interior of the place. And maybe ask your smoking patrons to step further away from the front door when smoking? I was able to smell the smoke a few times in the restaurant when the door opened which was not appealing. *Parking: Street Parking with meters till 8pm or Valet for $ 2.50.

A great place to chill out with a glass of wine, good food, slow live music and amazing company. I love everything about this place. The Red Room Food and Wine Bar has a wonderful ambience; along with live Spanish music by Alfredo. I really enjoyed spending time at this cozy wine bar and also the service was outstanding. I will be coming back!

Live jazz music each Wednesday and Thursday night — can I get a holla?! Taco Tuesdays — food truck specials?! Happy hour — 4p-630p?! * Inside-Dark, intimate, romantic, 6 tables &5 bar stools inside. * Outside-more light, patio, live music, and 15 or so tables out. Situated next to Coral Tree Place and the Sabzee Mediterranean Market, it’s surprisingly nice and romantic as it doesn’t look like a whole lot from the street. In fact, I’ve driven by many times not even noticing it. Menu has 12 or so items, ranging in artichoke salad, shishito peppers, flatbreads. and short rib. Wine list is extensive, more foreign than California. An odd 2 glass minimum for wines indicated by ** on the menu(so they can open the bottle), but that’s okay. I ordered: 1. 2009 Evidence Red Wine Blend($ 13). Even given the chance to breathe, it didn’t get much better than an average glass(2.0 stars). 2. Shishito Peppers — good, but far from great. A little undercooked, and no extra flavor that I’ve had tons of other times(3.0 stars). 3. Artichoke Salad — more about arugula and the dressing, less about the artichoke than I wanted. But very fresh, just not as described.(3.5 stars) 4. Roasted Mushroom Flatbread — amazing. Tons of truffle oil, loaded with succulent mushrooms, wonderful brie quality cheese, and a nice pizza crust(4.5 stars). Very nice and attentive service(4.5 stars). I’d come back.
