I am so sad! This was our favorite Johnny Rockets! The only one we found that had a Happy Hour with great deals. Don’t understand because it was always busy when we went there. Their sign said they were closed for remodeling but now they are not listed in JR locations. We will miss you, Johnny Rockets Encino!

It’s closed! Bummer. Will miss sitting on the patio with my dog and getting a burger.

I have driven by this location and the window shades are closed. Sign outside is on, but no business. Does anyone know what’s up? I live down the street from them.

Fast. Friendly. Delicious. What more can you ask for really? The burgers are great, Chilly Fries & The Tuna Melt is my favorite! Very Friendly staff, One of my favorite fast food places…

Attempted to have lunch there today. After waiting patiently for the waiter to acknowledge me, I ordered a BLAT and sweet potato fries. Never got to try them. Services was so slow and terrible I walked out. It’s bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato. Not rocket science. Cook seemed utterly confused. Never going back.

The service is outstanding, considering we’re talking fast food at lunch counter prices. Our darling waiter brought us ketchup-designed Goofy and flower dipping plates. The chili cheese fries are … amazing according to everyone at my table, but I thought they were strange. The Route 66 burger has mushrooms, caramelized onions and Swiss cheese. Johnny R’s can do a burger for real.

My niece is a huge Johnny Rockets fan. I liked that they had the option of half a sandwich & a side salad. I love their egg salad sandwich on white toast. I wish they had gluten free but maybe someday soon? The kids sliders are perfectly sized & you can’t go wrong with ketchup faces in the dishes for the fries. One little girl a few counter seats over got an Olaf from frozen ketchup design. Loved playing the songs in the music players. Great atmosphere & great service.

Its convenient hamburger and fries place to go, a little pricey but what counts is the staff service and how the meal turned out great. I would go there again.

Grilled breast Chicken sandwich is dye. No juiciness or flavor. Fries overcooked. Nothing good to say

2 stars. Johnny Rockets in general: 4 stars. How can you go wrong with Johnny Rockets? The retro décor, the awesome jukebox, the familiarity. Albeit, the food is expensive for what you get, but they’re open late and you’re paying for the convenience. Most the food is pretty mediocre, but the fries are some of the best in my opinion. This particular Johnny Rockets gets a 2 star because the one time I’ve been here, a fist fight broke out in the parking lot(a couple of guys really giving it to this other guy). I couldn’t get out of the parking lot because of it, and told the waiters, who hesitated before telling the manager/assistant manager, who hesitated to handle the situation. Ultimately, he waited till the group settled down and saw the whole restaurant staring at them before he went out. Well, safe to say I’m not returning to this Johnny Rockets anytime soon.

My first experience at Johnny Rockets was also my first experience with food poisoning. This happened a while ago so i can only hope they haven’t been making a habit out of this. Of all things I ate, it was a veggie burger… maybe the patty or the lettuce was placed on a cutting board where raw meat had been placed and not properly sanitized afterwards but I was sick for about 3 days afterwards.

Johnny Rockets was a super hit when they first opened in So Cal in the mid-80’s! Happy Days was still a hit on TV and everyone just loved this 50’s style diner. Over the years though, it’s degraded. The menus look like Red Robin restaurants and a lot of the food just tastes the same. The burgers are decent but nothing to rave about — would definitely not come here if I wanted a REAL burger. The fries are excellent however and any of the food you order should come with a side of fries — forget the salad. Johnny’s is also one of the last places that you can find a real malt. They even serve the entire thing to you in the silver mixing flask. so you can lick out the inside with your tongue. This is one of the main reasons I come here — they also have shake/malt specials of the day — some blend that the chef thought up. Anyway, it’s a pretty nice place especially to take the kids.

Used to love this place… It’s gotten WAY expen$ive! Food is so-so. I don’t remember it being soo bland. The service was good, friendly but they seem generally uninterested in the customer. As if we were there to take time from their banter in Spanish behind the counter… VERY unprofessional. I’ve been going to Johnny Rockets since the late 80’s and I tell you, it’s gone DOWNHILL! The Calabasas location is much nicer, friendlier and cleaner. Better parking too! This place needs help or they will end up with no business. Only came in cuz I wanted a vanilla coke ! Bought a burger and fries too. paid TOOMUCH!

Burgers are above average. Fries are okay. Service is really good. We came in here just as they were about to close and the lady working behind the counter said we can only have the food to go. We went ahead and ordered the food and they were real cool about it. The two cooks and the cashier were both cleaning the kitchen, counters and grills. That’s a good sign that they don’t leave the mess behind from the previous day.

Food was old and bad. It looks it was sitting around for a few hours or so. Service was really slow. The cutie waitress was dumb as a door knob. Next time I won’t waste my money.

Over priced & underseasoned. My burger was boring. Not really terrible, but I dont want to come back. For anyone that says I got a flavorless option, I got a smokehouse with JALAPENOS, still unimpressed. And it was $ 10. No drink, no fancy sides. Oh and on a salt scale, McDonalds fries would be 10, this place would be 0. Im on a quest for a place with a happy seasoning medium.

Love these types of places that looks like you are in the movies… Stopped by with the bf before we headed to class a while back… no one was there but us… Sat at the counter, guy was nice. food was really good. Fries were delicious and the cute jukebox gives the place a fun atmosphere. and they draw something with your ketchup in the little bowl! Im a sucker for ridiculous cute random places like this. =]
