love Capriotti’s!!! Why they chose this location is beyond me. I can see why they closed shop. the parking situation is terrible! Please bring Capriotti’s back to the valley but in a better location. Please.

This place is a chain, but it puts Subway, Quiznos, and Jersey Mike’s to shame. I was scouring the internet for a good sandwich near my office in the valley and Capriotti’s popped up as highly recommended. My coworker and I fought through some ridiculous Ventura Blvd traffic and each ordered a 12 inch sub then split them in half. We tried half of a Capastrami and half of a Philly Cheesestake. Both were excellent and fresh, and the soft yet absorbent bread is perfect. I’d give the Capastrami the edge between the two, with its fresh hot pastrami, Russian dressing, coleslaw, and Swiss Cheese. Dan’s Supersubs is a bit far from my office, so Capriotti’s is a pretty darn good alternative. Even though it’s in one of the most perplexingly 80’s Encino strip malls in the whole valley.
