If you need any audio or wiring type work done, hit up Al & Ed’s. They’ve been around for decades (for good reason), and hopefully that continues.
I went here to have my horn and running lights fixed — which had some detestable wiring job done by the prior owner. The results are exactly what we aimed for, despite some unforeseen problems that rose up. They kept in good communication to make sure I knew what was happening and how to proceed. The wiring was clean and cables were great quality.
They had other very expensive rides in the shop that needed as much attention as possible, but they tore-​off one of their guys to help get my car done in the limited amount of time available. I really appreciate that.
My only recommendation is to get there sometime in the morning on a weekday. Most body shops aren’t even open on Saturday, and even in this case, they’re usually up to their neck in cars.

Been coming to this Al and Ed’s for years now. Even though they’ve moved a few times, I’ve followed them! Very friendly employees, nice location, and excellent quality. They really stand by their products. Whenever I need something adjusted or fixed they’ve always taken care of it with speed, and accuracy. And have never charged me! They do amazing custom work which is evident by the cars you see them customizing. This is an excellent establishment, they treat my little Honda Del Sol with expertise and great care.

To all the people in the Valley. .I’m telling you the truth please take your money and your Business to someone else. …this people don’t care about you… all they want is your money… and they lie to you… I’m calling the Better Business of automobile Repairs on them so the government will know about there shady Business. .

Eric is a car audio genius. He and his crew built me a system that sounds like it’s out of heaven. Had them upgrade my electrical system with a 200 amp alternator, an odyssey battery, and upgraded the wiring between the 2. Had a pioneer NEX head unit installed with a back up camera, 2 Rockford Fosgate T5 component speaker systems both powered by a Rockford Fosgate T1000−4ad amp, 2 twelve inch Kicker Solo Baric L7 subs powered by a Rockford Fosgate T2500−1bdCP amp. On top of that they dynamatted my whole car so nothing rattles at all. They built me a custom amp rack in the spare tire compartment of my car and carpeted the entire thing so everything looks factory. Also had them install a viper alarm system so I never have to worry about thieves and had them upgrade my headlights to HIDs and had them tint my windows. Overall I don’t think you can go to anyone better than these guys. Everything looks like it’s from the factory. Just a clean install and like I said the system is crystal clear no matter how loud you bump it and trust me this system bumps. I came by while they were tuning it and the building was shaking when they had it cranked up and no matter how loud you turn the sub nothing in or on the car rattles, just clean bass. I highly recommend these guys for any custom installations you want done. These guys are super talented and can do anything. I have many more ideas for my car so I will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again guys for everything.

I brought my 76 Mustang to Al & Ed’s before they moved locations. I bought a thousand dollar alpine system to be installed in my car. The stereo worked great for a couple months but then started to short circuit. Every time I braked or used my clutch the system would cut off and turn back on. So i brought it in a couple times after that and they couldn’t fix the problem. Im not sure why they couldn’t fix it but it has been a nuisance since. Even at night, when I turn on my headlights and start driving, my stereo stills cuts off and on. Only time I can use it is during the day.
For the amount of money I spent on the hardware I expect it to work. Their technichians could not set up my stereo properly. I dont know if its because I have an old car or if they are not properly trained. But i am very disappointed in the way my problem was handled and not solved.

Eric was a really chill and down to earth guy. He made me feel at ease and did not pressure me in anyway, but actually informed me of what products and services they offered and even showed me his personal ride (tricked out Dodge Nitro) and how a professionally tuned system should sound like. Even after I told him I wasn’t looking to spend over $ 2k on my system, he was still able to put together a decent focal system for me, the only problem being my existing head-​unit and its limited tuning parameters. He said he might have an older model head unit he could hook me up with so that way my new system would sound a lot better than my current setup! Now I just have to wait for an opening in his schedule! Did I mention he even tuned my current system before I left because my rear 6×9’s were blown and I didn’t even know!?!

Al & Ed’s Auto Sound in Northridge is simply top notch and the best around. Eric and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and specialize in perfection. I am very picky when it comes to my car and these guys went out of their way to get my new audio system dialed in just right. In addition, they picked up my car up from work and after completing the installation picked me up and drove me back to their facility. I can’t think of any service better than that. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new audio system — you won’t be disappointed.

i experienced a excellent service on here also a good price… for custom box they also built what exactly my concept and measurement are… eric is pretty much friendly… eze is easy to deal with… they are both easy to deal with… they will also educate you about building box and what is proper and not… what to choose and what to not choose subwoofer and amp… i am very happy and looking forward to go back there… :) thank you guys

I have used this place three times. First was years ago and they installed a stereo, speakers and equalizer in to my very first car a Datusn b-​210 hatchback. Because I was a kid I was on a budget and they understood that and worked with me. Years later I had a jeep grand Cherokee. The stock stereo needed to be updated as well as the speakers. They did a great job and set up with my MP3 player connecting from the glove box via cable. Last was my new truck and all they did was run USB ports to the consul because I wanted more and wanted them hidden. I have been very happy with them and will use them again if I need something else done.

I stopped in looking for a amp and sub woofer. I knew what I wanted and was talking with them and asked if I came back if I could pick it up and give it as a gift and they said yes but they would have to order the sub woofer and will take a few days to get there. Then I asked about the up to 50% off on everything sign hanging out tin the front of the store and was told that the sale ended on Dec 2 and they just haven’t taken the sign down. I asked about some kind of discount seeing as how the sign is the reason I went there and I was told that MAYBE I can get 30% off. I was ready to buy till I was told about the sign wasn’t suppose to be up. I then left and tried to call a corporate office and there was no way to get to a customer service center I ended up calling the store I just left. This was the third time I have tried to deal this company and have never had good luck when dealing with them. I have learned my lesson this time. I went to another stereo shop and got exactly what I wanted for the price I was looking for. I will not try them again.
