This is a great shop, with lots of great«infusion» mixes — many with a middle eastern slant, as the fresh spices and herbs come directly from Israel. It is a pleasure to shop for spices here, with lots of free samples and expert, friendly help.

I love they sell in bulk. I bought so many spice blends. I started with making homemade hummus and adding their hummus mix. Then making chicken Moroccan spiced meatballs. Delicious! I also bought gifts for friends who loved the spices.

Great place to get interesting Hanukah or Christmas gifts for teachers or work. Healthy and delicious spice mixes(roasted yam and espresso meat blend are our favorites so far). And finally, fresh halvah(plain, pistachio and espresso flavors were there today) in San Diego!

I am working on my Christmas presents a little early and am putting together test tube spice«racks» for a family gift exchange we do. To do my first batch of these, I needed enough spices to fill 60 test tubes and after doing some research decided it would be best to buy in bulk and have it measured out for me. I brought my test tubes in and Debbie was SO helpful. They measured out how much spice I would need and while I was waiting for the bags walked me through the store to show me everything. What a cool store and a great concept — I will definitely be back. Not only to complete more test tube gifts but also to buy some fun stuff for myself!

I let my nose lead me into this store(kind of like the Fruit Loops toucan), and wow, what an adventure. Spices, rubs, infusions, grains, and honey plus wonderful cooking supplies. Samples and beautiful displays turn the visit into a wonderful experience visually, aromatically and for the palate. Debbie and Kendra were super nice; the store also offers recipes and tips about how to use the various products. The inventory is extensive and very fresh. The prices are reasonable and a great value. If you buy something, the item is nicely wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a great little bag.

This place is muthafuckin awesome!!! So many gr8 spices to choose from. The chili pepper is fantastic. I use it for so many sauces and flavorings of my cookings, i always get compliments about my grub. «it taste gr8, wow!, oh my goodness, you made this??, i want more, what’s the recipe, can you move in and be my personal chef\slave\whatever i want» I also grabbed the breakfast spices and they do wonders for the bfast potatoes i cook for the lovely lady that i kidnap at night in the AM. Its super cheap too. I picked up 3OZ’s of the good stuff for only $ 6! If you’re into cooking and want some yummy spicey tastey food, stop here! The workers are fantastic, lovely, friendly, helpful, super cool, this place is my new fav!

I went in for my first visit to this little shop and was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for some loose spices for a gift, and was happy with the flexibility and large selection this place had to offer. Brooke was extremely helpful and knowledge and really took her time explaining things to me(since I’m not much of a cook myself). I will definitely return for other gift ideas. I’ll also be back to try out some of the teas!

I get so tired trying to think of how to spice up my food but this place is so useful to get ideas. A lot of the spices are premixed so you can just throw it in your meat or vegetables or what ever to add flavor. No thinking needed. The great thing is that it’s sold by weight so you can try small amounts at a time. Plus you know spices are fresh which leads to better tasting food. Who knows how old those spices at the chain supermarkets have been sitting on the shelf for. Staff is super friendly! It’s always so great to leave with all my spices and think about what I’m going to cook up for dinner.

Cute little local spot. Surely has a few kinks to work out, but definitely a place to keep on one’s radar. My first time there was on the ‘Grand Opening’ day and that was impressive. They had a chef cooking some amazing dishes, high school students volunteering to serve the nosh and a line out the door. My second time I grabbed a few infusions from their tea area and a few ounces of jasmine green tea. In sum I purchased approximately 7 oz. of goods and spent just under $ 20. That being said the shop is, as I would expect for North County, slightly on the pricey, posh side. My husband a chef himself was underwhelmed with their selection but will happily be using his gift card. Pros: — Clean, helpful staff, ample parking, appropriate hours, tasters of select goods Cons: — Slightly pricey, staff not super knowledgable on the nuances of the computer system(I had gift card problems both times I went in) more specialty local blends would be fantastic I’ll give them a month and revisit.

I stumbled on to this delightful shop on my way to the Verizon store. Am I glad I did. The proprietor, Debbie, has stocked her adorable store with so many spices, blends, infusions, etc. etc. I cook for my spouse every day so I’m always looking for new and different ways to season the meal. And who isn’t looking for a new way to make boneless, skinless chicken breasts taste good? I found four different diverse spice blends and a wonderful beet, pecan, etc. way to season rice. The first night I used a blend for ground beef and had the beet enhanced rice. What a successful meal! I certainly hope Debbie is successful as I want to continue shopping here.

I was stopping at the Yogurtland next door and see this new store just opened, 8 days ago. A really nice spice shop. Most of them are mixtures, which is really convenient. Sold by the ounce or in nice jars. They also have a lot of teas. Some for enjoying and some for medicinal purposes. The man working there told me his family grows the herbs ~ This is a nice addition to the community. I hope it does well.

I was absolutely intrigued trying to peek thru the covered window before it opened, all I have to say is that it was everything that I expected and more. They have spices for every kind of meats, rice, soups, infused fruits, teas. This place smells amazing everything is fresh and aims to please, if you’re looking for the best THISISIT! They even offer cooking classes. I’m definitely coming back, you can even order on line and have it shipped which is going to come in very handy when we move to the East Coast. Let’s not forget the helpful ladies that helped us find and sample all the delicious fruits infused water and the awesome onion dip.(A dinner party must!) thank you for all of your help. Tonight’s menu Argentinian BBQ — bring on the chimichurri !
