I only come to Honeybaked on the holidays. Which is always the worst idea, since that’s the only time this place is busy lol. My family has been eating Honeybaked Ham for years! So this place will always have a place in my heart. I went here twice in the past 3 days. I was trying to place an order online for pickup and couldn’t figure it out. So Saturday 11/21/2015 I stopped by, I ordered a small ham and a turkey breast. They said the latest I could pick up was Monday 11/23/2015, which was fine. They gave me a golden ticket. I stopped by Monday and gave them the ticket, and they pulled my order. 7LB ham and a turkey breast came out to around $ 73… this place is definitely expensive for the holidays! But their honeybaked turkey breast is amazing! Anyways, overall I had a good experience.

Completely agree with many of the posts. Serice is terrible! Don’t even bother to use the coupons. They are advertised as one thing and then you get a completely different story when you call. I had this same experience with them a couple of years ago and had forgotten about it until I called to order this year and then it all came back. I ended up ordering online with a coupon code discount and my ham and turkey will be delivered to me and I won’t have to deal with those rude people at the store.

The staff knows nothing about customer service(especially the blond with dyed hair). Their indifference permeates everything they do. No wonder the place has no lunch crowd. The $ 5.99 lunch special seems good until you experience it. Want soup? We don’t make it on Tuesday. Want water with lunch? We sell bottles of water for a dollar. Want potato salad as a side? We’re out of it today. Management or ownership is nonexistent or doesn’t care.

You already know what your getting re: food. Honeybaked Hams are just yummy! The staff at this location are something else. They didn’t know the menu or the prices. It was so frustrating.

I can’t understand the bad reviews??? I had a club sandwich, ham turkey bacon lettuce on white bread. The bread was so moist and fresh and piled high with ham and turkey. The Honey mustard sauce was tasty. Friendly service. Also, only $ 5.99.

I’ve been wanting to try this for a couple years and finally this Thanksgiving decided to try, we had early Thanksgiving dinner today and it was amazing, we had the traditional half turkey breast ¼ ham stuffing cranberry sauce and cheesy potatoes, more potatoes in the cheesy potatoes but other than that it was amazing dinner and I would definitely do it again. The ham and turkey were amazing

Bought a ham bone and was given a separate bag of pieces of ham. Do not buy the separate bags of pieces of ham. It is full of fat and tiny pieces of ham. When I opened the package of ham bone there was a SMALL bone with lots of little pieces of ham. Do not use those pieces of ham. It is not worth the time to trim them of fat. The pea soup was ok with the bone but I sure missed the hunks of ham I used to get with the bone.

Delicious. $ 4.99 for a sandwich, and I’m not talking about your Saturday afternoon picnic with two slices of bread and a piece of ham, I’m talking about thanksgiving-thick, delicious ham with all the fixxxxxin’s. Can’t beat the price, this place can get a lunch-rush so plan accordingly.

The food is great. The service is horrible. They need a different system: lines for pickup and lines for people trying make up their custom meal on the spot. To these people: CALLINYOURORDER. It would be much easier on the employees at this store and everyone else who is there to pickup. Today I sat in line for over 30 min to pickup my food. One woman, planning her feast on the spot, was taking up a register the entire time I was there… She was there when I arrived. Still there when I left. Nice planning lady.

This place is seriously amazing. You come here for the meat and it is delicious. Never go to the supermarket again for deli meat, as the turkey and ham are really that good. Anyone thinking about cooking a holiday dinner? Why? They have all the sides you need, coupled with their ham will make everyone happy. The lady before me came away with more food then she could carry and I bought more then I could eat for sure. Everyone leaves happy as far as I have seen. Their ham bone, or I should probably say meat with some bone in it, makes a killer soup. The whole family liked it. No this place is not subway, don’t expect the same second service. This is a good small business that everyone in the neighborhood should support. Please be a little patient, and you will love the product. Oh and their prices for great in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

I love honey baked hams and I knew this Honeybaked Ham Co. location had sandwiches so a buddy of mine went over with me at 12:30, when everywhere else in town is at the peak of the lunchtime rush. Not here. The place was empty and quiet. Pindrop quiet. Library quiet. We did see two other customers during our visit but one guy took off when the girl behind the counter hadn’t gotten to him, and then another guy came in for some ham salad, which the store didn’t have on hand. He turned around and left. The place is stuck in 1978. The interior is so tired, between Grandma’s cheap dark wood furniture, the old signage, the tacky wallpaper and old school gift baskets. We came in for sandwiches. They obviously don’t do a big volume so in the lefthand corner behind the counter they had a tray of ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, etc. all set to make sandwiches. The lack of refridgeration was a little offputting, but I’m guessing the girl could have just put everything out. My buddy and I both ordered the Honeybaked Ham Classic sandwich, with ham, Swiss, LTM, and honey mustard. I had mine on a croissant while my friend went with a King’s Hawaiian roll. They also had rye, wheat and other typical sandwich bread options. The faded sandwich board listed the price for the Honeybaked Ham Classic at $ 5.99 but an equally old looking sign announced that«All sandwiches $ 4.99». I gotta say — my sandwich was really good. I LOVE the half-inch thick juicy slices of sweet moist ham — your typical thin sliced deli ham everywhere else doesn’t compare. The price made for a great deal too. I asked the girl behind the counter if they were always this slow during the lunch rush. «Yes.» I don’t understand how they can sell enough hams at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas to cover the overhead and pay the rent on the space. I can’t even express how quiet it was in there. Still, I really did like my sandwich — it tasted like the day after Christmas, one of my favorite food days of the year.

You might want to tell your workers they shouldn’t be handling food AND answering the phone with the same gloves. Disgusting!

They have delicious sandwiches. They are definitely the best place to go for a sandwich they cost $ 5.00 but you can make it Combo for only one more dollar which is a great deal. Normally never busy so there is never a long wait.

Great tasting ham but poor service at this store. This is the second year in a row in which they gave away my ham. They did it to the lady in front of us also. Why do reservations when you give people’s ham away? I reserved an 11 lb ham, but they admitted they«just» sold their last one. Then they try to sell me a 17 lb ham. Really? You want me to pay another $ 40 for 6 more lbs that I didn’t order?

Their hams are to die for, but if ur planning on getting a ham around thanksgiving u should get on that super early. This place is packed during the holidays! I would suggest pre ordering way in advance. Must get dipping sauce with the ham! Delicious!

I work right down the street from here and for quick and cheap lunch options, this is by far the best in all of San Diego. For $ 4.25, you get a serious sandwich with ham, turkey, or both with all the fixins, a small side salad, and another side of your choice. They have tons of sides to choose from such as potato/mac salad, ham salad, cream corn, baked beans, stuffing, creamed spinach, and my favorite cheesy potatoes. All of this is a serious amount of food which usually I can’t finish. But they put it in a nice and handy plastic container for easy storage in case you get the munchies later. There are never any lines, and the staff is always super friendly. Many times they offer me a «sample plate», which includes small bites of ham, turkey, stuffing, etc. A lot of places are offering«$ 5 meal deals», like Subway’s $ 5 footlong, Little Ceaser’s $ 5 pizza, etc.etc. Well, if you want to eat totally processed low-quality food, then go for it. Honeybaked is all quality and fairly healthy. And at $ 4.25 out the door, you can’t beat the value. Other than my local sandwich place, I’m not even gonna bother with anything else. Subway you can take that $ 5 footlong and shove it. PS: This place is located right next to the CVS in the Encinitas Town & Country shopping center where the old Albertson’s used to be.
