I started driving here for a hair cut this summer; the Solana Beach joints started charging twenty bucks and the Happy Barber in Clairemont is too far of a ride for a $ 12 cut. At $ 14, this was a great compromise for me. I wish they used a straight razor for the neck and ears but they compensate for that with the electric razor. If you want a straightforward mans hair cut, for a good price, Rite Cut is abou the best value in a 10-mile radius.

Friendly staff, clean facility, plenty of parking. Barber took her time and made sure we both understood the haircut I wanted. Price is average 12 – 14 $; it is Encinitas. Thanks for the cut be back soon.

A good men’s barber shop. This is my goto spot for men’s hair cutting. Just like others have mentioned, I’ve been going for over 10 years. Last Sunday there were three chairs working, thus minimal waiting time. While my hair was being cut, another gent waiting his turn, had the same 10 years story. I guess my point is this place has loyal customers, the best kind of advertising.

I’ve probably been to every«top» stylist in all of San Diego and all barbershops, they’ve all disappointed. I had lost all hope to any barbers or stylist, my buddy approached me and told me about Rite Cuts. I had nothing to lose since I’ve had bad hair cuts everywhere. When I first walked in the ladies greeted me with a smile and great vibes. It was huge weight off my shoulders that someone was able to cut my hair Rite(no pun intended), these girls really know their craft. Literally have been everywhere and this place was the one I’ve been missing out on! Chau, Lani, and Lili are all awesome, caring, and fun! Highly recommend

I have been getting my hair cut by Chau for 10 years, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. She always takes her time and cares about her work and her clients. Sometimes there is a wait to see her personally, but she has other barbers that are very experienced and will also do a great job. The prices for haircuts here are very low for the quality of work. I give Rite Cut my highest recommendation!

There are few a places in Encintas that charge a reasonable price for a haircut. Rite Cut Barber Shop is one of them! For ONLY $ 14, you can get a haircut that costs $ 20 anywhere else, especially in a nice area like Encintas. I had Chau cut my hair. Not only did she take me after the place was closed, but she even took all her precious time to cut my hair perfectly, checking in with me every few minutes to seek approval for the haircut. She was super sweet and courteous. She told me about her family, her background, and her story. She treats her customers like friends, not like clients. The setting is quiet with a television broadcasting local news and entertainment. Plenty of magazines to choose from to read before or during your haircut. Clean environment. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Have always been nervous goin to a new hair cut joint. Not been to an actual barber in more than 20yrs! Well I found this lil joint today and was greeted by the staff of 3 and promptly seated. I wanted a slight trim and got more of what I needed! Lily did a great job for me that included beard n stash trim n shave. No more chain cut or salons for me. I could not be happier with the results. Will be back in a few weeks!

Carlos has left the building.(sigh) He is sorely missed but the girls he left behind are pretty fair scissor wielders so after checking out a few alternative shops around Encinitas, I’m back. Easy in — easy out. Not the best, not the worse by far, but priced right and convenient. I hear Carlos is appearing somewhere in Temecula now, so maybe somebody can add where he opened his new shop.

Your average barber shop $ 14 for a haircut. Convenient for me as it is close to work. If you are willing to travel, there are better options– see my review of Lefty’s

Someday I plan to own a barber shop. Whether I do any cutting is up for discussion. I don’t think knowing to give a «mean fade» back in college qualifies me, but I remember watching and getting that technique down. Oh my poor bros that had to be my guinea pigs. LOL Rite Cut is the«right cut.» I’m picky about my barber shops. I look at the barber. I look at how they are. I look at their staff. I look at the clientle. I look at how normal the shop is. I talk to pals. I ask about cost. The days of $ 6 haircuts(tip included) have long gone. I’m a bit older now and I should get what I pay for, you know? LOL Though I still don’t completely understand why galpals have to pay for twice filling up your car in gas to get a nice«style» from a salon. They’ll even drive to another county. Anyway… Carlos treats all of his patrons with respect. All of them. He also isn’t arrogant about his technique — except that he claims he can make you into a «movie star.» LOL I’ve seen many barbers think they are better than sliced bread. I’ve seen many patrons from all demographics go to his shop. Now that’s respect. It’s not cliquey in there and I’ve watched everyone walk out a new person with a new look. What a way to reinvent yourself every few weeks. Carlos is also well-spoken. I’ve seen him hold many different types of conversations. One that strikes me was historical. He talked to one guy about World War 2 and how the US was on it’s way to drop the Atomic Bomb on Nagasaki. It piqued my interest. Carlos then talked about how the Mexican Air Force was forgotten in that mission. Why? They helped lead the US Air Force into Japan, by protecting the US bombers. Now that put a smile on my face.
