We REALLY enjoyed our stay at the Maple Lane Resort. It’s charming, really well maintained, and VERY clean. We had a king sized bed, and the room was large and made a great«home base» while we were visiting the area. A dining table in the room allowed us to order from a near-by pizza place one night, and the continental breakfast in the gathering space makes this place a fantastic deal price-wise. The proximity to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan makes this a great place to stay as we explored the area. Friendly staff made great recommendations, and we made every minute of our stay. We’ll definitely return, and HIGHLYRECOMMEND Maple Lane.

We stayed in the guest house(main house) where there are several guest rooms. Our room did not have a connected bathroom and we had to go through a public hallway to get to our bathroom. It would have been nice to know about this aspect before hand. While it felt clean, the house is very old and has not been updated in decades. Old carpeting and wallpaper and a slight musty smell are present. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We chose to stay here a few nights while enjoying the Sleeping Bear Dunes and it worked out very well. A few key selling points are free kayak and canoe rentals, free continental breakfast(which included terrific coffee), and the location. They also supply the materials to start a bonfire in a fire pit nightly. It was akin to camping with the atmosphere and setting. The pricing was a little high for the experience and fluctuates seasonally. If you want to spend a few days exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Maple Lane is a good option.
