I really enjoyed the Glen Haven area. It’s a small village with the general store, a blacksmith where they make hooks for you(they just ask for a small donation) and a boat museum and a really nice beach. The general store has a lot of things they sell related to the area but also other things like checkers, candy and similar things. They also have a small museum in the general store of D.H. Day which had the biggest influence of the development of the village.

While there’s not much here, if you’re in Glen Haven you should make a quick stop at the General Store if you want to pick up some souvenirs or get advice about the area. On top of the typical general store stuff there is also a small museum exhibit that teaches some interesting history about this part of Northern Michigan. It’s worth ten minutes of your time to stop in.
