Do not eat here! I got the steak super burrito, and it gave me food poisoning. I didn’t feel better, until I vomited about six hours later.

El Torero sits in a parking lot of a tire store. it’s been years that i saw them. seldom do they have patrons. menu: usual taco, burritos, torta, & sodas. usual fillings + cabeza(brain) & lengua(tongue) eats: cabeza & lengua taco(1.25@) –surprisingly a lot of steamed/boiled, not fried meat, not a lot of taste –came with sour veggies, topped with onions, –many salsas on counter to spice up taco. frijoles refritos: –no pricing seen anywheres –fast, courteous service.

Rice: very oily, bright red, a little spicy, not exactly complex. Very small grain, curiously. Beans: lardy, refried-to-the-max, underseasoned, kind of average. Meats: Carnitas, not so good. Pastor, good but not great. Chicken, great – it was very fresh(both recently cooked and recently killed), my favorite of the three we tried by far. Formats: torta was minimal(no beans, no avo), but kinda worked anyways, a bit on the small side, but hey, $ 4. Burrito was also a tad below average taco-truck size. Tacos were well-assembled.
