Smoothie Factory is an excellent alternative to the Jamba Juice down the street. They have smoothies, but a greater variety, and as a whole the smoothies we had are very similar to Smoothie King, if you’ve had them. I had a piña colada while my wife had a strawberry banana smoothie. I think we got some sort of boosts, but I don’t remember them off the top of my head. Both smoothies were very smooth textured, very cold, and very, very flavorful. They also sell lots of supplements, for those of you who absolutely need your whey proteins, and need them now! If I lived closer to Elmhurst, I’d be going here a lot more often.

Tons of amazing healthy options here, so many vitamins and options for healthy add-ins, you know you’re really rounding out your diet and getting a good meal replacement in a cup. The fruit and veggies they use are cold not frozen as another reviewer said, and it does make a lot of difference. The taste is just great, although I like Jamba, I’d go here over Jamba any day, they have amazing flavor combos and their boosts and mix-ins are better with better end result. I wish they had more of these places around, it’s absolutely the best smoothie you’ll get anywhere. If I could make them this good at home I’d charge for them too ;) Smoothie factory can happily have my money for these delicious concoctions!

So, I had a Groupon deal for here that I redeemed over the Summer. It was pretty odd because when I redeemed my voucher, the guy behind the counter said I needed to pay tax and that Groupon didn’t specify that in the original listing. The deal was that I paid $ 12 for 4 smoothies so this wasn’t a traditional voucher were you received a certain dollar amount off your bill. I had already paid the $ 12 for the smoothies so why am I being charged tax? Got 2 smoothies during this visit and received a punch card for the other 2. I haven’t been back so I doubt I can even redeem the punch card for my remaining 2 smoothies since the Groupon deal expired on 12÷31÷11(I’m assuming the punch card carries the same expiration date).

I live here… ok not really but if i’m out and about I usually stop here at some point in indulge in smoothies. Star 1: The best part is the taste of the smoothies. Their fruit isn’t frozen like some places so the full flavor is there and no clumps that’ll get stuck up in the straw(although you have the occasional ice chunk). Star 2: The staff. Now, I’ve only come during lunch time so I’m not sure about the occasional bad reviews on the staff. They are always helpful and kind and will never forget to remind you about the smoothie stamp Star 3: The value. For $ 5 you can get a 20oz smoothie and if you come back often, they have a card stamping frequent customer to earn your way up to free smoothies.(I think I’ve had at least 6 free ones since opening and you need about 10 stamps) Star 4: Extras. Another bonus about SF is their health store/exercise beneficial mix. They have vitamins, proteins, and other things that will help in any one to lose or gain weight and be healthy. Some of their smoothies are geared just for that as well. Star 5: Soup now available! Well not just the soup. I adore the environment, it’s clean, a little noisy, but it’s made to have people stick around for a bit. I highly recommend a visit, a smoothie, or hey, soup or yogurt. It’s a yummy establishment that I hope stays around for a long time.

I would give this place 5 stars because my Strawberry/Blueberry/Pineapple with an Immune boost smoothie was delicious on every level but I also had to ask for it without the turbinado sugar, without the honey and without the sugary yogurt in order for it to be so perfect. Don’t get me wrong, the two guys on staff were fine and didn’t give me any grief about my modifications but I just wish they would offer some more strictly fruit-based smoothie options vs all of the ones with the unnecessary(in my opinion) sweeteners. I’ve only been there three times so far but the one time that I did go during the morning hours on a weekday, the parking situation was a nightmare. On the weekends or later evening, there is a garage right across the street with free parking that makes getting in there a breeze.

What a great smoothie place! I got a blueberry smoothie replacing the bananas with strawberries and added an extra boost of energy. First of all the flavor of the smoothie was outstanding! You really taste the flavor of the fruit versus the watered down version you get from their competitor from down the street. The first sip hit my system and all I can say is, «happy, happy»! It tasted beyond great and I got the energy boost I was looking for. For me, there is nothing worse than paying for food or drink that is subpar … it makes you fee like you’ve wasted your money. Not at the Smoothie Factory! The service I received was excellent! The people were kind, friendly and helpful. You must try it! It is the BEST smoothie place available in this area!

We stopped in here and got 2 kids strawberry-banana smoothies and one raspberry dream smoothie for us to share. The kids smoothies were pretty sweet to me, almost sickly sweet, but our kids liked them, so oh well. Our raspberry smoothie was pretty good, even though I could detect granules of some kind of protein powder or something that weren’t mixed in that well. What got this place 2 stars from me was the fact that the teenagers working here looked at us like we were covered in dog shit or something – maybe upset because we were interrupting their facebooking? Idk… nothing irritates me more than rude employees who act like they’re doing you a favor by taking your money.

This is more like a 3 ½ star review, because the smoothie really was delicious and made with qualities ingredients. I was in Elmhurst for a Unilocal event and noticed this place across the street. My friend and I were jonesing for some fruity goodness so we headed over before our trip back home. The menu looked good, not a direct copy of Jamba Juice, which is great — the options seemed to offer more fruit and boasted all natural ingredients. We both got the mango smoothie with a boost of whey protein. They had a blend of banana, orange, pineapple, and mango and were delicious and exactly what we needed. So why the 3-star rating? I was put off by the fact that I was surrounded by Muscle Milk canisters and insane energy bars. Also, maybe it’s just been a while since I’ve ordered a smoothie, but the prices seemed a little outrageous. A small(20oz) was $ 4.75 with tax. A large(40 oz.) was over $ 7 with tax. $ 7 for a smoothie? They did offer a kid’s size for $ 1.89 but the menu options were limited for that.
