I’ve been going to this diner for many years now. It’s very popular in the neighborhood. The food is better than your average diner. Great breakfast specials and love the coffee. For lunch I recommend the burgers or grilled chicken sandwiches. A favorite for dinner is the rigatoni a la salmon. The staff is friendly and their manager George is a great guy. I recommend stopping in for a bite anytime. They are open 24⁄7.

Georgia Diner is self-proclaimed best-of-Queens-diner in Elmhurst, Queens. I found the service excellent, the dishes are enormous and the food is decent. My family and I went for dinner on MDW. We ordered corn beef hash, baked chicken, salmon salad, nova scotia lox with cream cheese and a omelet. We were so hungry when we arrived. It was perfect that the waiter gave us a bread basket with warmed bread. The kids devoured the bread. One dipped the breadsticks into the individually wrapped butters. There was also a stand on the table with 3 tins of pickled/cooked diner snacks(sliced beets, chickpea and green bean salad, and coleslaw). My hubby and I liked the sour crunchy coleslaw. I loved my smoked Nova Scotia lox with cream cheese. The bagels were toasted but soggy but the Nova Scotia lox was beautiful. I got 4 long 3″ x 8−10″ of pink savory firm lox($ 15.5). So good. K’s dish of salmon salad had plenty of sliced beefsteak tomatoes, coleslaw, potato salad, freshly sliced cucumbers and a pile of canned salmon(that could have been tuna). That was ok. The other family members were satiated with their salty corn beef hash and soft non crispy home fries and hand-sized omelet. The meal was great for what it was: simple filling breakfast-like food. The servers were so friendly and nice. They cleared our plates quickly, gave us napkins and more napkins. When we left, the hostess gave the kids lollipops. So sweet. I would definitely come back for their Nova scotia lox! Or to try their rotating dessert display.

I came here for lunch with a group of 4 others. I must say, I was very excited to visit a new diner in queens. While pulling into the parking lot, I had said to my boyfriend, «oh my goodness! How come we never come here? I didn’t know about this diner!» My boyfriend replied, «I don’t know. I used to go to the doctor across the street when I was younger, and would come here afterwards.» So — now I know why we never came to visit. The food was extremely disappointing. I ordered a chicken Cesar wrap with bacon and sweet potato fries. Chicken had cartilage in every bite, and was so tough, I couldn’t even eat it. The lettuce was soggy, and dressing tasted as if it was squeezed right from a krasdale bottle. I don’t know what it is but a wrap could easily have the same ingredients in several restaurants, and if it isn’t made correctly, its not a wrap. Everyone else ordered omelettes and eggs. I was told that it was good but not great. Home fries were watery, and did not have much flavor(pepper was added). Sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. Service was kind, and attentive. If it were for service, they would have 5 stars. Food– not so great.

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for over ten years. The service is always super friendly and quick. I always mess with the guys and personalize my order somehow and I’ve never gotten a no. They’re happy to change stuff around for me. They are attentive and always serve with a smile. The food is typical diner fare. The service is what seta this place apart.

I have to start by saying I’ve been to the Georgia many, many times before, and have never had an issue like this. The food is always decent, and the service relatively quick for such a large, busy place. The waiters barely speak English, so order accuracy has been a problem once or twice, but nothing egregious. Today, however, was a personally embarrassing experience for me, because I was meeting three friends for brunch and we chose the Georgia based entirely on my recommendation. The four of us ordered full meals, coffee, and juice, and proceeded to eat, drink, and get caught up. All in all, I’d say we were at our table for an hour and a half. During this time, the server came over several times to check in on us and see if we needed anything else. At first, I thought he was just doing his job, but then I noticed his attitude grew surlier every time he stopped by. We considered finishing in a hurry so they could turn the table… until we noticed that there were not one, but FOUR empty tables in the same section of the diner. Finally, the waiter ran up to the table and said sternly, «You have to pay your bill and go now». I went to the hostess stand/cashier and asked the lady there if there was a time limit on the tables. She either did not understand the question, or pretended not to. I explained that we were sitting for some time, yes, but we ran up a bill in excess of $ 80, so was there a limit to how long we could sit and relax after our meals? She still seemed confused, but said no. I then explained to her that the reason for my question was because our waiter told us we had to pay our bill and leave, at which point she changed her answer to «Um… then, yes». So I told her that this information should be posted somewhere if that’s the case… and that all the rags and towels laying around the diner were a NYC health code violation. *drops mic* Honestly, I was mortified that we were treated like this after I vouched for this diner and brought friends here. And the food was meh.

For years I have made a point to stop at Georgia Diner every time I was in Queens. That will no longer be the case. Their service has deteriorated to the point of wilfull neglect. To begin with, the waiter who took our order, did not write down a single part of the order and we ended up getting half of it wrong. Second, even though sodas and coffee are free refills, he either did not notice or ignored our empty glasses until asked. Not once did he offer any refills. Finally, when I went to pay, the two people at the register saw me and completely ignored me. It wasn’t until I said, «Can someone please take care of this so I can get out of here» that they finally acknowledged me. I am over 6 feet tall, 260 lbs, bald headed guy with a huge beard so I’m a bit hard to miss yet they did an excellent job of it. I don’t understand why people come to work if they don’t want to do their job. This was an awful experience. It was so bad that I hardly ever leave a bad review but made a point to leave one today…

My first visit to Georgia Diner today was surprising good! It was practically a full house the time we got there, but we were seated right away. I had silver dollar griddle cakes with bacon($ 10.75), OJ and refillable coffee. Food was tasty & the portion of my dish was really big(about a stack of 10+, I had to take most home — it doesn’t take a lot for me to get full). Food came at a decent time and staff were friendly. The only issue I had was seeing how each staff would seemed to always reach across in front of us while serving, refilling coffee and removing dishes. Two of us were seated at a table for 4 so I felt there was no reason for them to constantly reach across my face.

Growing up in Queens, I’ve been to this joint numerous times throughout the years. Unfortunately, after my experience this afternoon’s visit it will be my last. Where to start… Service was horribly slow from the get go. It took 20 minutes from when we were handed our menus to the time our waiter finally got around to greeting us and taking our order(during the wait, we asked another waiter to see if he could take our order who promptly said our waiter would be with us shortly… to which he went over to the side to count his tips!). Even with what seems like an abundance of employees, the wait staff was overworked and disgruntled. The 4 «suits» who are supposedly management won’t look twice at the tables but were quick to delegate when something comes their way. Don’t even bother asking the suits for anything… it’ll be delegated and go on death ears without hesitation. We even also saw these guys criticize the wait staff out back about something. This is not how a service type business should be run. We then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. I get it, it’s a Sunday afternoon and it’s busy… but this is a diner. It’s omelette, potatoes, and pancakes. Not surprisingly our food arrived cold(probably been sitting out for a while) In summary, if you’re look for a diner… go elsewhere. There are plenty of alternative options. This is a spot that’s not worth a trip. And they don’t have anything«peach» on their menu.

My fault for ordering«Belgian» waffles at a diner. I just wanted a fancier version of a waffle and sort of forgot I was at a diner. At least sprinkle some confectioners sugar on top? Nope. What came out was a straight up soggy diner waffle with a slice of ham, bacon, and sausage(waffle deluxe $ 12.95). The Virginia ham was repulsive, bacon was normal, and sausage was great just bc I love breakfast sausage. So for $ 12.95 — I found myself enjoying ONE slice of bacon and ONE piece of sausage. Others at my table had: Corn beef hash — she was set on this dish the second we walked in as she’s had it before. Guess she likes it? Not a corn beef fan so didn’t try. Corn beef sandwich — he said it sucked. There was nothing in that stale sandwich EXCEPT for the meat. No sauce, no veggies. Yeah… No.

Came in this morning for a waffle. The waffle was soggy. Disappointed to say the least. What really irked me was the poor hygiene this establishment has going on. The men’s bathroom was decorated with pee. Saw a gentleman, who I’m pretty sure does not work there, help himself to behind the counter. He started refilling his water bottle directly from the soda dispenser. His bottle was in direct contact with the sprout. I sincerely hope management addresses this because their wait staff certainly does not. No one bothered to say any thing to this man. Highly doubt that I will be coming back here.

3.5−4 stars depending on the days I go and the waiters I have. I always find myself at this diner when I’m with big groups or when I can’t figure out where I want to eat, and this place is 24 hours and has these awesome Complete Dinner meals that you can get for about $ 26 – 29 that are practically 5-course meals at a diner. I went the other day with my family and was excited to try this dish I didn’t know existed on the menu. I know they have calamari fra diavolo that I always like, but I’m also a big fan of mussels and I heard there was a mysterious dish that I’ve been missing out on all this time. My mom’s friend helped us order it and I ordered mine to be spicy. I figured out that the name was mussels posillipo!! They give a generous amount of angel hair pasta and it was to die for. Granted, they needed to soak their mussels in salt water so the mussels could spit out the sand, but I wasn’t complaining because it was THATGOOD. Maybe in the future I’ll say something if it really bugs me. The dish was a modest $ 17 as well so I think it was a pretty decent price, but with my cooking skills I can definitely make that dish at home for under $ 5 for my family haha.

I’ve been here twice for breakfast and they didn’t have turkey bacon either time. What kind of diner doesn’t have turkey bacon? It’s usually crowded. I think it’s one of the only diners in the area. I had an omelet. It was mediocre at best. I’ve had much better omelets at other diners. I probably won’t return.

Your average diner. Food is basic but gets the job done. On some days they are better than others. I always come for breakfast and have a turkey and cheese omelette which is usually pretty good. The tartufo ice cream desert is delicious and my favorite. I usually like to order my tartufo after my omelette but it always turns me off when they approach me with the bill right after the omelette. This has happened 3 times… However, I do appreciate the big parking lot at this establishment, considering the location is in a very busy area where street parking is limited.

Georgia Diner is your average diner. They’ve got an expansive menu full of OK, well-priced food. And the portions are massive. I’ve tried the fried calamari, Greek grilled chicken wrap, the rigatoni with salmon in pink sauce, and the house cheesecake. All of it is good, but I wish the cheesecake had a more substantial crust. The service is wonderful. Overall, if you’re looking for a diner with reliable food, Georgia is a good option.

Time of Visit: Saturday around noon Wait: Seated a minute after we arrived. Took about 15 minutes to order, 15 minutes to receive food. Price for two: $ 28 [2 meals + 1 coffee] Service: Alright Items ordered: ~He-Man [$ 13.95]; 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, and french toast. ~One eggs, corned beef hash, potatoes & toast [9.95] Would I return: No(due to distance and quality of food) Notes: ~The host was a bit brash, but our server was very friendly. ~Customer demographic seem more family oriented, and on the older, which I enjoy. Positive Points: ~Portions are larger than average. ~Other half really enjoyed the french toast, which is a rarity. He said it was soaked nicely with a good amount of egg. This is his go-to breakfast meal so he’s had his fair share. ~There was problem with his over easy eggs, our server was informed, and took care of the problem quickly. Why the 3 out of 5? ~The coffee isn’t good, dare I say bad. 1. I had to listen to my other half complain about it for a bit, 2. It did taste like it was sitting on the burner for a while. ~The food is a bit bland, I try my best not to add condiments to things, as I feel like it shouldn’t be necessary if seasoned right. ~The corned beef hash is canned, and a bit oily upon arrival(dab and blot was needed) ~His eggs(which came on a separate dish) was over cooked and room temperature when it came to us. We assume it was probably made first, then waited till his entrée was ready.(This was not the reason for the return) When we weighted out the food quality to price ratio it’s not really worth it, or the trip. If you’re near by and want something filling I could see why people would go. However, since there are many other options for diner food in the area, some with cheaper prices I don’t see this being part of yours(or ours) top 5 picks.

Came here for breakfast this morning and was seated promptly. My boyfriend ordered the spinach and feta omelette and I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs. Since both dishes were on the breakfast specials menu, it came with juice, coffee or tea, toast, and home fries. Our server looked and sounded like he was in the biggest hurry ever. He just assumed we wanted white toast and orange juice, which we did, but it should be customary to offer the choices. We both opted for tea and he then asked if we’d like lemon or milk with it. We both said milk and five minutes later we got lemon slices on our saucers. When we told him we had asked for milk, he said we asked for lemons… «milk» sounds nothing like«lemon» and how do you miss that twice? He obviously needs to slow down and take the time to listen more carefully. The food came pretty quickly. The homefries were completely unseasoned and I wasn’t a fan of the corned beef hash. Everything else was okay. The busboy was really awesome though about refilling our cups of tea with hot water and clearing our plates. It was also really good to see a smiling face in the restaurant. Our server was nowhere to be seen most of the time and it took a while to get his attention for the check. I would’ve given Georgia Diner two stars for its mediocre service and unseasoned food, but my boyfriend eats here frequently and says that it’s usually better. Perhaps it was an off day for everyone.

I recently came back from a trip to Hong Kong and the jet lag was really getting to me. Where do you go when you want food at 2 am? My boyfriend and I tried to order take out but most places were closed or didn’t deliver to our area. So we decided to head out to Georgia Diner for its 24⁄7 service. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for so long and even though I past by Georgia Diner all the time, I never had a chance to try it. We were seated in one of the booths with a jukebox. I ordered an omelette with swiss cheese and chicken and a side of toast and hashbrowns. My boyfriend had a burger with some fries and onion rings. I think the food is a bit pricey but they do have fairly big portions. I only finished half of my omelette and boxed the other half. Nothing crazy about the omelette though. But my boyfriend finished every bit of his burger. I would come back again but probably try some of its desserts instead.

Their food items are a hit or miss. I’ve tried multiple things here and it really depends on who is cooking. Their chicken Parm sandwich is bad(~$ 14). No flavor and just feels like too much dough. Their salads are healthy and big portioned but a bit on the pricey side($ 14-$ 16). Most of the items are on the pricey side for what they offer(around $ 10-$ 30)… and mind you, this is diner food… Their chicken quesadillas are on the skimpy side but for a diner thats open 24/7, their food is consistently high. I absolutely love their calamari there though. They are big pieces and do not taste fishy. Great texture and bite to it. Their marinara sauce goes well with it when you add lemon to it. I get it every time Im there. Be sure to check your receipt for the right price though. they have it twice in their menu. It should only be priced at $ 11.95. Its a good portion for that price. It reminds me of the calamari at Pio Pio but better!! Def recommend it! Their burgers are filling as well. I recently tried their pizza burger which is mozzarella cheese and the marinara sauce from the calamari. I like it how they cook it even though it’s probably from a frozen patty. It tastes better than youd expect though. For me, the burger is filling enough. The fries are great. They are thick cute fries and i like them crispy so i would suggest telling them to make them crispy or else, they come out limp. Dont bother with their deserts. It is also on the pricey and dont look fresh. The waiters are attentive and are very accommodating. Just be wary about the charges on your receipt. Sometimes, they sneakily charge a dollar or two more than original for their dishes. I recommend it as a place if you are craving some really late night food like calamari or a burger. However, other than that, not worth coming for the dinner specials(expensive for quality and product) and various other things. Go if nothing else is open. CALAMARI!!! :)

Located on Queens Blvd and one of the largest diners on Queens Blvd for the matter. I’ve been here a few times over the years and always had something different than the time before. This time I was hungry and in need of some breakfast. Hoping for not a long wait because I was in a hurry and had places to be I was lucky with no wait for a party of two. This place is always busy when I come they have 3 dining halls. I got to sit in one of there booths(sweet! Love booths) the customer service was great very attentive no complaints there. Was spot on! Now on to the food: I love a cup of joe in the morning but there coffee was way to strong for my liking oh well anyways. I had the«Eggs Benedict» this is always my breakfast of at 90% of my diner breakfast choice. I ate it but I didn’t love it. My eggs weren’t poached enough and the hollandaise sauce wasn’t cutting it for me no favor and runny. But then again I’m picky with my food and how I like it prepared. There’s only two places in queens that I enjoy there eggs benedict. This one experience wouldn’t spot me from coming back again. This place wouldn’t be as busy as it is if the food was bad!
