New menu, same old song. Sorry, been here a few times since opened in new location. Hit & miss. This time major miss. $ 16 hot lips mussels were awful. Tried 6, 2 were waaaay off. Didn’t eat rest. Overall flavor was not great. Service was good. Drinks were not great. Sommelier/Mgr guy sits at bar on his computer. He’s never said hello to us. Tried again recently, excellent salad & apps. Hit & miss

2.5 stars. Really underwhelmed by the service. I wanted to like this place, but there were several things that bothered me about the whole experience. My parents, husband and I had a great time walking around Ellicottville when we were in town for Christmas. We ended our night at Cadillac Jack’s since the reviews were so great. I think there was only one other occupied table. Several people were sitting at the bar. The interior is very modern — classy but casual. Menu has a decent selection of sandwiches, salads and entrees. We ordered drinks first. My dad ordered a Jack & Coke. They were out of Jack. He asked for Canadian Club instead. They were out of CC. He ended up getting Crown. Our drinks were sitting at the bar for several minutes. Normally I wouldn’t care — it’s not like we were in a big rush — but we were practically the only people in the whole place! When we were ready to order food, my dad asked what the catch of the day was. Our waitress said she didn’t know and had to go check with the chef. I ordered the Tzatkiki Burger, which came with a side of fries. I did enjoy my burger. At one point, our server came by and filled up our water glasses. My husband was drinking a bourbon and ginger ale. She filled up his cocktail glass(which was still half full) with water. She did get him another drink, BUT she never gave us an itemized receipt(one of my pet peeves, especially when your bill is over $ 100)… so I have no idea if she charged us twice. Or what she charged us for my dad’s Crown & Coke. The food was good, but the service was just lacking IMO.

My husband and I shared the mushroom and spinach crepes appetizer($ 7). He had the fish and chips special($ 7.99), while I chose the Pasta Tuscany with chicken.($ 14 + $ 4 for chicken). They had wine specials for only $ 5.50 per glass– not bad. Everything was AMAZING. Could not possibly have been better. The quality of the food and drinks was just superb.

They ran out of the Saturday special, they didn’t have the duck confit burger… They were out of everything our table basically wanted. Then we were told they had enough lobster bisque for two cups, and then the table after were all served lobster bisque?! Go figure. This place was horrible. Over priced. Food was mediocre. I don’t recommend this place. We had a horrible experience. It SUCKED!!!

We walked around town, looked inside and it was empty. The reviews we read were great. Couldn’t wait for the filet mignon. We checked out all the other eateries and came back here based on those dang reviews. Big mistake. We ate upstairs in basically an empty warm room. Very small back deck did not appeal to us! Waiter finally came around, no rush, one speed, never did get his name. Way too laid back. Asked why it was so empty, no response. After 15 minutes we tried to order the filets, he said oh we ran out. At 6pm on a week night when they were empty. We should have left! So we ordered ribeyes and some other food. Our seafood bisque came in 15 minutes and our food 20 minutes later! Way too long to wait. Soup was good, though no fish or meat to find in it. Our ribeyes were just ok. Not great. One was a bit raw, but now we were starved. My wifes salad was pretty lame too. We never did mention to the waiter about the hair in her salad, yikes. Overall way too long to wait for our food. Very disappointed for sure. Would not go back. Now we see why their neighbors in the brewery were so busy too.

Just stopped here for dinner while traveling through — food was excellent(had broiled haddock with basil butter & husband had Latin pork). Service was very friendly and prices were very reasonable for the area. Would definitely recommend.

The new Cadillac Jack’s is still fun, but now dressed up and showing off it’s elegant side. Warm, friendly environment which serves as the platform for a kick-butt menu. The food offerings are an exciting fusion of cultures and flavors that run throughout the appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and handhelds. Plate presentation is impressive, flavors are true to the promises made by the menu and portions are satisfying and generously priced. Wine offerings are impressive and carefully selected. 5 out of 5 stars for the food, wine, bar, price and the way you’re made to feel welcome. No deductions for the unfinished décor. C’mon guys, it’s a new location and new features are on the way. You here to eat or look at the cool pictures? You know your palate is tired of the same-old-same-old. Tell, it you’re sorry and take it to Cadillac Jack’s for a culinary pampering.

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat. 2 adults, 2 kids. Very warm, friendly place quickly greeted. We had burgers, salads and wings, all of which were excellent. Service was superb also. Owner came out and chatted with us to make sure the meal was okay. Highly impressed with everything. We will be back.

This is the best food I have eaten in Ellicottville. I had the Wedge salad and the Latin Pork Tacos with jalapeño creamed corn. Simply amazing. The Pasta Tuscany with shrimp was also excellent. The new location is simple and historic. The service was also excellent. They have a good beer selection. You can spend more money but you won’t get better food in Ellicottville. Bravo Cadillac Jack’s!

About as good as it can be in EVL. Extra stars for fast seating and good service. The owner did come by and check on our meals. And he KNEW what our table ordered. Above the standard in EVL especially on a Saturday evening. I have eaten in every place in EVL. At most places, sticking to the basics or the house specials is advisable. It is unbelievable busy 10 weeks a year and mostly a ghost town the other 40 weeks.(Closed for at least two during«mud season» in spring.) So it’s an impossible model to keep a great staff of waitress’ and chefs in house and happy. Cadillac Jacks closed last Spring and moved downtown on to Monroe Street. After Christmas week it still looked like opening was going to be «next year.» It did open just two weeks ago or so. Like a lot of places downtown, the menu«reaches.» We were happy to see some of the old stand bys like the mussels and a few signature sandwiches like the«Lead Sled» made the move. Our table ordered hot lips mussels. They were perfectly done. Big portion with lots of broth and toast. Worth trying. We also ordered a few of the new things like shrimp and calamari miso fresco and TNT shrimp. Both had big plump seafood. The batter was really thick and crispy and took both over. But the sauces were good. I didn’t sample, but pasta Tuscany with chicken was claimed as the best meal by those that did. The slow simmered pork in the pork tacos was great as was their side. It was available as a meal. Probably worth it. It’s still a new place. Extra stars for service. We’ll see about the long run. But we will be back. The lobster bisque had good lobster flavor but was missing the big chunk of lobster or a claw. But for the price, very good.

Tom and Tina just moved downtown and they have have done a great job creating an incredibly friendly place with great food. I had the Hot Lips Mussels, stacked high with a great tomato onion, wine sauce with just enough heat. My wife had the pulled pork plate with chimichurri and chipotle sauces, baby potatoes and carrots. It was delicious. This might be one of the best restaurants in Ellicotville. And on a value basis absolutely the best.

Where to begin… I would definitely keep moving on to another restaurant. The first sign we should have left is the set up. There is no vestibule so when you walk in you give everyone in the restaurant a blast of cold air. That being said when we got sat at our table every two minutes we got a blast of cold air until the door was shut again, which was every 30 seconds to a minute. The next problem we had was the menu. The menu was very schizophrenic. For appetizer you could get regular bar style chicken wings, and at the other end of the spectrum you could get duck confit crepes. Drastically different and polar opposites. The dinner menu was more of the same, some meals were served in a basket while others were slated to be high end meals that you would only see at the finest of big city restaurants. With that being said the appetizers were pretty good, but that’s where it stopped. The salads and dinners were very lackluster and lacked flavor. These are all things that can be overlooked because you figure you are In a ski town where price gouging is the norm and mediocre food is expected. But the icing on the cake was the arrogant owner whom walked around belittling his help staff and at one point when taking plates from our table told us that he shouldn’t have to do this but he would help out his server whom he said wasn’t doing her job. I gave this review 2 stars. One because the appetizers were actually pretty good, and two because our server was a sweetheart and a good waitress. She was very kind and an excellent server. In my humble opinion Cadillac jacks should have never left their original location and shouldn’t have lost their identity as a fun loving bars with pub style food. I come to Ellicottville every year and I am excited to see the changes that are made with the addition of new restaurants, but this was not what I expected. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go to another establishment.

A diamond in the rough. We were just passing through the small little town of Ellicottville and happened upon this restaurant because we were waitlisted at a more popular place. The menu is very eclectic and everything we ordered was top-notch. They have a decent draft beer selection and a full bar but an even more unique craft beer selection. The service was five stars all the way(Qylie was our server). The owner greeted us when we walked in the door and gave us a rundown on their very unique menu items that were comprised of meals he had encountered in his travels. The place wasn’t overly crowded but seemed to be full of energy from the locals. We started with the lobster bisque and seafood soup(which was complimentary) then followed it with the TNT shrimp. For entrees we ordered the led sled burger(sandwich really) and the hanger steak with brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes in the side. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend anyone that is passing through this little ski town to stop on by. An extra star for their background music.

I have always loved Cadillac Jack’s in it’s old location, but I’m very excited to see how they can grow and develop in their new location in town. The new menu is a bit more refined and a little less bar menu like. Their beer selection is still great, and the service is friendly and prompt.
