Yay, I’m so glad Glory Days opened up on Route 40! It gives diners a new option for a sports bar kind of place in Ellicott City(since there aren’t really THAT many in the area). There is a parking lot, but sometimes it gets very busy in this center and you might have to park a little bit farther away. Think of it as a way to burn off a few calories from the yummy eats you consume inside. ;) Our server Lisa was super friendly and bubbly. She gave great recommendations(yum, crabby pizza!) and she checked on my husband and me enough to make sure we were taken care of. I noticed a large party room that could definitely hold enough people for a holiday/company gathering. There was also an outdoor hangout spot with what seemed like cornhole, but it was too cold and dark for us to check it out. I’m sure we’ll be back again soon!

I love Glory Days. This opened about 9 months ago. Always crowded, always prompt service. Good mix of options. I really appreciate the fact that I can get in at 12:15 and be back in my office by 1:00.

This restaurant is fairly new in our area so we wanted to check it out. We went on a Tuesday night and they have a special on tacos on Tuesdays. I got the shrimp tacos which were pretty good. They also have half price bottles of wine. And for a sports bar the wine was pretty good. We also got a couple orders of wings. They were very good. Not too fried. Our server Daniel, was awesome. He made sure we always had what we needed and kept coming back to ask us if we needed anything else. My husband really liked the feature that they had speakers on each table so we could listen to whatever TV(game) we wanted. We will definitely be going back.

Ok what sports bar closes early on the 2nd(NYE) biggest college football night of the year and isn’t open on the biggest bowl game of year(January 1st). Looks like I’ll go somewhere else!

The only downside was the noise level. Food was good, but our server RANDY was awesome, very personable and efficient… thanks

Belated because I didn’t want to write a review as I understand when a restaurant is relatively new, but no. The service was so bad. I thought it was just us, but after reading the other reviews, it’s just bad. We waited so long that we went from wanting our server to take our order to just anyone working for the restaurant to acknowledge that we were customers sitting at a table. Literally, we had multiple employees make eye contact/pass by our table without the slightest thought to question whether we were being helped or not. The hostess must’ve noticed that we were about to leave because she questioned some of the servers and one finally came to our table. My friend flagged down the manager to let her know how long we had to wait/badly we were ignored and while she comped an appetizer for us, it still left a bad taste in our mouths. The bad service didn’t end there. After our server split our checks correctly, she charged our cards incorrectly. We just wanted this experience to be over with so we left them as is — only to find out a few days later that she gave herself more tip than we had left. No.

I come to a big American chain resturant in first time. In malaysia, we dont have this big american resturant. In monday, they have special priced burgers, what is juicy and deliciousy. What I like at this place is the service, but there was times when i have no good servers. Very mean, and rude. Overall, i like it.

Only been here on pizza nights. The pizza is so good with the ranch they make. Haven’t had anything else but the service is amazing. The business model is cheap food over priced beer but I guess most bars are like that. The staff really is the one of the most friendly I’ve experienced.

PENDING11÷11÷15: I’ve been contacted by the restaurant, stating they pride themselves on the freshness and quality of their food, and offering a tour of their kitchen to prove it. I will take the tour and update accordingly. It was very busy the night I visited, so it’s possible my experience was an aberration. In the meantime I’ll upgrade from 2 to 3 stars. KG Good location, this area needed a sports bar badly. Nice inside, good TV’s displaying a variety of sports. The prices were low, and the bar scene looked good. Even the servers were clean looking, nice and helpful. They’ve gotten a lot right. However, it’s clear they don’t cook anything here. Everything seems pre-packaged and re-heated. They probably do very well as a business with such low food costs. Many places cut costs, but this felt a step(maybe two) too far. Foodies: drink and be merry, but go somewhere else to eat.

I have been to the one in Pasadena a few times. Never a bad experience there. Came to this location & it was good. A little over priced. My burger was a mess. I asked for a fried egg & it was closer to over easy which explains the mess. The waiter seemed inexperienced or just really really nervous.

First visit for lunch to this relatively new restaurant in Ellicott City. Very good sports bar atmosphere. High quality, bright, HD flat panel TVs are EVERYWHERE. Cool speaker system at each individual table that allows you to tune in to whatever TV you want to hear. Good menu of typical American bar food including a surprising number of craft beers. Waitress was very good… attentive… pleasant but not overly or artificially friendly, and knew the menu. When I asked what she recommended as best, she had several detailed suggestions… it was clear she had actually tried the food. One of her recommendations was their premium burger. I was actually surprised how good it was… charcoal grill flavor, very fresh roll… didn’t even need catsup. Side salad also was very fresh /good. Will definitely return and recommend. Lunch total was $ 18.

Entrees are below average at best. Appetizers are the only thing worth trying here. The glory day sauce is very good in the wings. The atmosphere is great. Very upscale sports bar feeling We were seated quickly, but it took over 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us & we were seated directly in front of the waitress station. Good took a long time for it to get to us. We got burgers & the bacon was under cooked & meat was rare-medium rare when asked for medium. I will most likely only go back here for a quick appetizer, but not a full meal again.

This place seems to be new to the area and a great concept for a sports bar. Without sitting here counting all the TVs I would say there has to be about 55 TVs here. SWEET! Also, when you sit at the bar or a table you can select the TV you want to listen to using a portable little speaker. Chris the bartender was very friendly and they have a great craft beer selection. The food menu has a great selection and the boneless wings were wonderful. They have what looks like a new patio outside which also has TVs. If you are looking for a great spot to see the game great beer selection and a great food menu, don’t pass this place up!

I had been hearing of the grand opening of this glory days location for quite some time so I was very eager to try it out. Came in for lunch during a weekday and was underwhelmed. Not that anything was bad but it wasn’t really much different from any other big name sports bar. The location is in a band new shopping center right on Route 40. The shared parking lot looks like it could get hectic with all the neighboring businesses. The exterior look great, when I went they still hadn’t completed the outside seating area. From the looks of it, I think it will be nice area to sit and socialize on a cool summers night. Not very large but more than sufficient for a get together with close friends. There was a lot of staff working in there for a lunch time crowd. I think they had just as many waitresses as customers and two hostesses. Was nice because it meant there was no wait for just about everything. Probably because they just recently opened but hopefully it stay this way. The restroom was very clean when I went so another plus. On the way there I noticed a private room that could accommodate a decent sized birthday party. Service was ok and the food was ok. I ordered bacon cheese burger medium well. It came out more well, as I no pink in the center. But it was still moist enough and well seasoned. I was working this go around so I did not partake in the adult beverage side of the menu. Looks like they had some pretty good specials and I wouldn’t mind coming back to watch a game here.

They have burger Monday’s, taco Tuesday’s and pizza Thursday’s all day with most choices 5.99. My burger was cooked pink throughout as requested and my wife enjoyed the wings, mashed potatoes and vegetables. There are three wing choices and perhaps ten different sauces. My fries were lukewarm and the replacements somewhat warmer. The sweet tea is less than overpowering which I found preferable. The service is good. All in all only the fries disappointed. BTW unlike the location in Towson the volume is normal here. People can easily hear each other. On another trip my wife enjoyed the salmon, vegetables and mashed potatoes. My mashed potatoes and the ice cream brownie dessert were good but the roast beef sandwich had little flavor and was served on a stale bun.

Glory days is your typical franchise restaurant. Great sports bar atmosphere almost like an Applebee’s. That being said, you can’t beat their prices. Monday night burgers, taco Tuesday’s and pizza Thursday’s are the days to go if you want to go out on a budget. Great place to eat cheap and they also have decent happy hour prices.

I’m going to have to update this post — our first, but recent trip it was a mixed bag. The food was surprisingly good, I really enjoyed their beef on weck. Their appetizer cheese fries were very similar to outback. We arrived early for a weekend lunch and were one of the first people to arrive. We thought the food would arrive promptly, however it took surprisingly long. We ordered a dessert and that took forever — by then there must have been about 25 people in the restaurant. Our server seemed inexperienced, but the pace of the food I blame on management. There were almost as many people working there as customers, and many employees were standing around.

New restaurants have kinks to iron out. That’s just reality. But I really, really wanted to believe that Glory Days would somehow be immune to this. I used to live in Towson and loved that Glory Days location, which was always nearly flawless. So my fiancé and I were pretty excited to see a new location opening up right here in Ellicott City! On Saturday night we were in the mood for chain restaurant style comfort food and decided to check it out. It’s been open for about a month, so we thought that by now things would be running pretty smoothly… We figured it was still going to be very high demand with curious new patrons like us, so at around 2pm we called to ask if they took reservations. They said no, but they do call ahead seating, and if we called one hour before to put down our name we should have no problem and no wait. We called at 6:30 to put down our name for 7:30 — piece of cake. We get there, and the parking lot is teeny tiny. There’s a small little sign saying that you need to drive up to the upper parking lot. Of course there are no steps to walk down to the lower parking lot and restaurant entrance, so you just have to walk down the street, dodging cars driving up looking for parking in the upper lot. And then we get there. It’s pretty much packed, and there are people playing cornhole outside. We both agree that we’re relieved to avoid the inevitable wait that we would have had if we didn’t call ahead. So we get there and give them our names… and are told that there is at least a half an hour wait. Seemingly everyone had a long wait. So then what’s the point of call ahead seating??? We were a little bit annoyed, but thankfully were called to our seat in only about 20 minutes and off we went. And by off we went I mean to our little reject table next to a pole. Literally there is a pillar right pushed up next to the little table of two, so you could easily miss us(as the waitstaff often did). Someone from another table was leaning her crutches against the pillar. It was SOAWKWARD and I don’t know why any restaurant would choose to put a table here. When our waitress finally came around(because, again, I think we were hidden from plain sight) we placed our order for everything — 2 sodas, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. Then we wait. Meanwhile a couple was sat next to us(who arrived to the restaurant after us) and they’re halfway done with their first cocktails when we finally get our Diet Cokes. And then they’re happily munching away on their appetizers. So we look at the time and we realize we’ve been sitting for 45 minutes. Our appetizer was an 8 piece boneless wing order — and they are known for having really good wings, so it’s not like this should have been a huge shock to the kitchen to make. Finally we track down another waitress to kind of ask what the hold up is. She cracked some joke about how nobody can see us over at this awkward table next to the pillar… yeah, tell me about it! Finally we got our food after about 50 minutes of waiting at our hidden table(in addition to the 20 minutes we waited despite calling ahead). Of course our app came out the same time as our entrée, and was lukewarm at best. We ordered the wings with the spicy garlic sauce and they were pretty good, despite not being hot temperature wise. If you go to any Glory Days location I definitely think you should get some wings. They’re always good, and they have several different sauces to choose from. We also both ordered cheeseburgers. I ordered the«cheeseburger trifecta» which isn’t actually a trifecta of cheeseburgers, but rather a trifecta of cheeses(swiss, cheddar and provolone). I also asked for fried onions on top, and they were good. In fact the burgers themselves were great! The food here is definitely on point, which gives me hope. Ultimately we asked to speak to a manager, just to let him know about our experience. We said we didn’t think it was really the fault of the waitresses, as they seemed really crazy busy. Maybe it was the kitchen, or maybe it was the table hidden behind a pole. In any case, we were really left scratching our heads. The manager gave us a discount on our check and a coupon for a free appetizer. I do think we’ll be back at some point because the food is so reliably good(and this is why I’m giving them an optimistic 3 stars). But man oh man do they need to figure things out.

Finally… Glory Days Grill has arrived in Ellicott City. I moved to Ellicott City in 2011 from Reston, VA. Reston had a Glory Days. and it was our ‘go to” spot almost every week. We have been waiting for a LONGTIME and its here! So…I went last night… day 3 of opening. Staff was in full force… in fact… they are all over the place. You will be greeted by at least five smiling faces, the hostess explained the specials, the server was prompt and friendly, and the helpers cleared away dirty dishes in a flash. My drink was never empty… in fact… we had extra drinks! Glory Days cheese fries are just killer! They are loaded with a few different kinds of cheeses, and topped with bacon and grilled onions. Are they good for you? NO… but once in a while, everyone needs a good American French Fry drenched in cheese! They have a really good selection of wings from Bourbon, Buffalo, Honey Barbecue, etc. Last night happened to be a sale on wings… I think it was $ 5 for 6 wings. This is a place that you can bring your kids and enjoy an adult beverage. It really does a fantastic job of integrating the pub experience, while entertaining the kids with a pleather of TV’s. You don’t feel bad about drinking a beer or two in front of kids, because it really is a family sports bar! The menu is good olé American food… burgers, salads, good appetizers, some seafood, pasta, and steaks. You will find something for everyone. The drink menu is amazing too. Lots of beers, and plenty of mixed drinks for every imagination. I would like to brag on the Owner or Manager for a second. He came around last night to our table, and personally thanked us for coming out. He noticed my son had on a sports jersey, and we were telling him that he just won a trophy for a Tae Kwon Do event. He made a point to say anytime we need a local team sponsor for kids sports. to come in and let him know. WOW! That is supporting the community. I am just so thrilled we have this place in our town. It is kind of like Cheers! Everyone is going to know our names!
