I shop here at Safeway all the time and enjoy getting Starbucks in the morning; however, my experience here today was the worst ever for Starbucks(NOTSAFEWAY). I arrived around 5:30 am and there was only 1 lady there. I stood near the order area and she didn’t say hello, good morning or anything. I asked was she open and the response was«do u want to order something?» I ordered 1 small hot chocolate and 1 small white mocha with whipped cream and soy milk, and 2 warmed cheese danishes. I got my drinks and she asked if it was okay to give the Danishes to me cold, in the original packaging. What? Huh? No it’s not okay. I repeated my order and paid for my purchase. She STILL didn’t warm my Danish, didn’t say thank you and when she made the drinks, she was a complete slob. Yuck! About an hour later, I was so sick because she put regular milk instead of soy — I’m allergic to cow milk. I will always visit this Safeway but going back to the Starbucks here? Forget it!

I happen to be picking a few items up at Safeway Grocery Store at 5021 Laguna Blvd in Elk Grove California when I noticed a Starbucks Coffee Shop in the front lobby as you enter the store. Their hour of operation varies day to day. Mon 6am-730pm, Tues-Thurs 6am-7pm, Fri– Sat 6am-8pm, and Sun 6am-6pm. They offer all the same drinks as you would find at your neighborhood Starbucks. The only difference that I noticed was that they lack the variety of pastry item, no salads or sandwiches. Probably because being in a grocery store they do not want to be in competition with Safeway. There was plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. The area was well maintained, The staff was cheerful and friendly! There was no Wi-Fi though! I will definitely be back! Coming here I can do a little grocery shopping and have my coffee too.

This review is for the Starbucks inside of Safeway on Laguna. I’m generally not a fan of Starbucks but in a pinch I stop in. Average coffee plus slow, inattentive, depressed staff that offers only a half-hearted greeting… No thank you! I’m sorry you don’t like your job but at least you have one.
