This is a great breakfast spot. The portions are good and so are the prices. The waitstaff can be a little slow at times, because it’s usually busy. It’s a small place so there’s not much seating to begin with. But the food is good! I usually order the pork chop breakfast with grits, scrambled eggs & cheese, and toast. If you’ve never been, I would say give it a try.

Came here for breakfast with my mom today because she didn’t feel like traveling far for food. I love supporting local businesses and local mom and pop shops so I decided to go to Stagecoach. At first glance, this place reminds me of those old rustic diners that have regulars just siting around enjoying their morning coffees, with newspaper in hand. My overall experience here was subpar. I ordered the mushroom, spinach and cheese omelette with an add-on of avo with a side of potatoes. The omelette itself was pretty bland and needed a hint of salt, pepper, and my favorite fruited condiment, the ketchup. (That’s right! Ketchup and eggs, I still don’t know why some people think it’s weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) My potatoes were undercooked and underbrowned while my mom’s potatoes were semi burnt. Service was alright when we first sat down. We were asked about drinks and got what we ordered right away. After we ordered, our waitress was nowhere to be found. I had to track her down for more water, track her down for a side of sour cream, and finally tracked her down for our check.

My Mother, Sis and I went here for breakfast over the weekend. The food was so good! I had the breakfast sandwich and it was heavenly. The portions are huge and the price is super affordable. Our waitress was really nice and she kept the coffee coming. Their coffee is perfect breakfast diner coffee. Limited Seating!

This place is ok if your starving and need a quick fix. Coffee had a fatal error, it was bitter and had coffee grounds in it. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, everything was just on the bland side. Makes me kinda sad thinking of the breakfast that it could of been.: /

First off, NO chicken and waffles at this location, go to florin rd one for that, which we will next time! Came here for a Sun brunch after the last storm. On the way I was checking out the pics on Unilocal to see what looked good, read to call ahead and get on the list, so I did. Paid off when we got there as once we checked in there were 4 other groups that had come in after we were put on the list. Were told it was a 20 – 25 min wait, and it held pretty true. Once we were seated, the waitress was very good, getting our drink order, and food order. Food came pretty fast, and I was surprised since it was so busy. The food was pretty good, but nothing special, medioker«Diner Food». I would have given this place 3 stars but I can’t as I asked for medium-rare and I got well done on my burger. Why ask how you want it if you aren’t going to cook it what way.

We were seated in about 5 minutes, but the place was busy but only 3 servers for the entire place that I saw. Took awhile to take our orders, but once it was taken, it took about 10 mins… Quite surprising for a resto full of customers on a Saturday morning. Food was ok taste-wise, nothing really outstanding, but huge portions. Would have given 4 stars but took off 1 for the snottiness of the server. I know she is busy and in a rush but talking to a customer with sarcasm in your tone is unacceptable.

Worst breakfast in Elk Grove! Looks like it might be a charming western diner, seemed pricey for that type of place but when the food arrived, the corners that were cut were very apparent. I’m not sure how you can mess up breakfast but this place succeeded in doing so. Fruit was an option, we ordered it, and got a small bowl with a half of a canned pear and a half of a peach. The ham, bacon and sausage were poor quality and horrible tasting, rubbery and super salty. Ugh really awful! I don’t usually complain but for the $ 46 bill the food was horrendous. Never again! Avoid at all costs!

We ventured out for breakfast today which is something we don’t do often. Unfortunately it seemed that everyone in Elk Grove also had the same idea on this bright sunny day because everywhere was packed. We ended up at the stagecoach, a very quaint mom and pop breakfast joint hidden behind Denny’s. We were seated right away and promptly had our coffee in hand. I ordered the western omelette and asked for a side of fresh fruit, unfortunately the fruit was fresh… from a can. The omelette was just okay. The ham and veggies were diced so small it was hard to get them into a bite, they kept falling off my folk. My husband ordered the country eggs Benedict. I can say this for sure, the serving sizes are big but very lacking in flavor. The gravy had way to much flour and not much else. The cherry on top of the experience was the math on the bill was wrong by almost $ 4 over what it should have been. If our waitress Hadn’t been so nice this would have been a one star review.

We go here for their breakfast on the weekends. It’s one of my favorite places for breakfast in Elk Grove to go to. We always call when we are headed there I get out name in the waiting list — because there always seems to be a wait — which is a testament on how good their food must be. With saying that — I did only give them 4 stars. With how busy they can be — sometimes the service you get can be less than average — but it’s hit or miss — I don’t feel it’s sever based — just depends on how busy they are. But the food keeps us coming back for more.

This place has been in Elk Grove for many years. We were in town yesterday and decided to stop in. It’s been at least 15 years since I’ve been here. It was pretty busy and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. They seated us and promptly came back for our orders. I got the standard breakfast(eggs, bacon and potatoes) and it was really yummy! My son ordered pancakes and they were really good too. He was eating them and then made a weird face… he found a couple of diced onions mixed in his pancakes… yuck! My son hates onions so that ruined his meal. We ordered a cinnamon roll to go and it was huge! Later that evening we warmed it up and I tasted the icing and tasted onion. Then we found 3 diced onions in the icing! That was disgusting!!! I don’t know who’s cutting onions in the kitchen but they seemed to make it in everything we ordered. We will go back because it is a nice ma and pa type restaurant and they have great food! Just not pleased with the onions ruining some of our food.

Don’t see why they shouldn’t receive 5 stars. Friendly staff, food comes out quickly, the food is good and the portions are large. I would say they are kind of pricy but I think it is because of those portions. This restaurant has been in Elk Grove for quite some time and they manage to keep up the good work. It is your traditional breakfast items; nothing fancy… just some good old breakfast. Country style. Ummm what else can I say other than they are yummy? I had an avocado omelette which was stuffed to this brim and I had a ton of country potatoes with delicious toast. Give this place a try!

It’s not what it looks like. I been different towns/cities tasting all type of breakfast and this place is nothing compared to other places. Service was extremely slow! Our waiter just stared at me and after 2 minutes he finally came over. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the French toast scramble with sausage and egg. The sausage was hard! NOTRECOMMENDED!

Wife and I had breakfast here, and later on in the week had carry-out breakfast again. Both were tasty, and cooked just right, You will like the food, my regular coffee was good, wife had decaf and said it was weak. Lots of free parking in the lot, other stores to wonder into as well in the area. they have a good biscuit and gravy on egg item, go for it… Yummy to my Tummy!

This is our favorite place for breakfast. Everything taste so fresh and delicious. I always seem to go back for their avocado and bacon omelette with crispy potatoes that are actually crispy! What I love most about this place is the staff as well. Straight to the point what do you want to order, lets do this, and oh would you like your hot cup of coffee topped off? On top of good service you also get to choose between toast, biscuit, or muffin. You get two of whatever you pick and it comes out nice and hot, as well as fluffy and fresh. If you want to leave the fancy brunch scene but don’t still mind a wait, this is the place to go. I’m so happy that we found our go to breakfast place in town to enjoy.

This morning was my second visit to Stagecoach and it was great! My mom and I stopped in for breakfast at around 9 and there was a short 10 minute wait but they got extremely busy as soon as we were seated. They have a huge menu and a lot of different options. Everything from omelets and benedict to waffles and traditional breakfast platters. My mom got the mushroom, spinach, bell pepper and cheese omelet and I got the stagecoach scramble and both dishes were absolutely delicious! Be warned, the portions are HUGE. Both our meals came with a choice of a biscuit, muffin or toast. I got a biscuit(which really means 2HUGE biscuits btw) and my mom got a coconut pineapple muffin which was AMAZING! I highly recommend the muffin if they are offering it. Our server was so sweet and helpful! She was very on top of our coffee refills which was very appreciated. All in all, their food is delicious, the ambiance is homey and warm and the service is outstanding. Definitely worth checking out!

First time coming to this place and it was perfect! It’s better to call ahead if you want to go for breakfast because there is always a wait. I only ended up waiting 10 minutes. The service was average, nothing above and beyond. But they are quick and that’s what will keep me coming back. The food was great! I got the eggs benedict with bacon and potatoes and it tasted amazing. Can’t wait to come back to this place! =)

Hearty portions that will fulfill even the biggest appetites for brunch! Have come here for two weeks in a row for Sunday brunch. It’s a quaint little restaurant that fills up quickly for brunch, so come early. My two egg breakfast came with two eggs, 3 large sausage patties, a heaping serving of breakfast potatoes and 2 huge biscuits. I had to take it home since there was so much. Their sausage patties are bigger than average and very tasty. Their country potatoes are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, exactly how I like it! Don’t even get me started on their pillowy biscuits, which they give you two of. I could tell they used a ton of butter, but I didn’t care because the consistency and taste were worth the indulgence. My niece had the waffles, which were perfectly done. We also tried the hamburger patty and the spinach scramble. All of the meals were awesome! Service can be a bit slower especially when they get busy, but they come by all the time to update you and see if you need anything else. If you like old fashioned, no-frills, home cooked, stick to your ribs food, then Stagecoach is your place! There is nothing pretentious or intimidating about this place at all. It feels like Sunday dinner at grandma’s house.

We definitely chose the busiest day for brunch Easter Sunday. Luckily we called as we left the house and only had a ten minute wait compared to 20 – 25 minutes — win! We had 2 omelettes which were amazing and cinnamon drench toast which was not as good. I was a bit disappointed because French toast is my favorite brunch food. It tasted a bit undercooked. The ambience is very mom and pop. Family atmosphere and friendly waitstaff as well as other customers. It’s one of the few places of its kind in Elk Grove, will definitely be back for another round of omelettes.
