Terrible service. We didn’t see a server for 10 minutes after being seated, not even to be offered water. The signed check from the previous guest was still at our table too … horrible.

I Am a big fan of Benedict’s! & this particular one SMOKEDSALMONBENEDICT was so flavorful. They added some capers that complimented the salmon. and the sauce and poached eggs we’re cooked perfect. The service was fast and quick. Round house potatoes splatted with the green Tabasco sauce was excellent.

Great service. The best complementary bread I’ve had, plus they gave us two huge, delicious, free muffins because it was our first time there. Good taste and good portion sizes for price. Will definitely come back. Our server was prompt and it had a nice atmosphere.

It is a chain place. Nice. But a chain. The service was great. Clean. Good menu. But heavy on buns etc. I wouldn’t go again. But the whole town of Elk Grove is chain places. Nothing original nor unique. It’s a place that has sold its soul to chain stores. Really sad to see. Populated by stepford wives. 40 years ago it was a charming place out of time– small town Americana but they sold out to whatever they got– not even the highest bidder. This doesn’t reflect this diner– just Elk Grove as a whole.

This place has horrible service. They do not help wheelchair access individuals. The receptionist person is very rude and curt. What they do instead is make you wait longer than average compared to the other people who do not have handicap family members. Their response to me as to why my wait is longer is because they can only seat two people instead of four with handicap access. For some reason they count a wheelchair as a fifth person sitting? I will be reporting this restaurant for non compliant with handicap access and discrimination to the State of California along with better business bureau. Horrible service; and I intend to let all my friends and family know not to go to this restaurant any longer as they are not compliant with the laws of California regarding handicap accessibility. You will not find us here eating ever again for this horrible experience.

Service was horrible waited an hour to be served after ordered and another half hour to get a check after requesting one. However food was tasty just not worth your time to wait and be ignored by servers.

While I don’t go often, the only time I eat at Mimi’s Café in Elk Grove is in the morning — for breakfast. Weekends can be busy for breakfast or lunch. The décor is comfortable while the service can be spotty(sometimes good, other times not so good). I have only tried three things on the menu besides a Bloody Mary or two — Steak & Eggs, the Bacon Avocado Omelet and when trying to be really good, the Egg White & Veggie Omelet. I don’t recommend the Steak & Eggs. The steak was tuff and lacked flavor. My favorite from what I have tried is the Bacon Avocado Omelet. Nice large omelet with tasty bacon, cheese and of course, avocado. Their muffins are good, but I try to avoid the extra calories.

Arrived today at 1:54 and got up and left at 2:09. Nowhere in the span of that 15 minutes were we acknowledged or given water. I have no desire to ever step foot in this place again. I would rather eat at a Wal-Mart McDonald’s while staring at a hairy butt crack than come back here. At least I would be greeted by a smile on a creepy plastic clown.

This is always a great place to get breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today I brought my kids in for lunch. We started off with spinach dip as a appetizer. The center was cold so we sent it back to be heated a little more. Service started off a little slow but it was busy so a little understandable when everyone arrives at noon. My daughter got the chicken Parmesan over pasta. Looked good and she said it was also good. It was a big portion so she took half home. My son got the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. The chicken were chicken breast and he thought it tasted very oily. He didn’t know if was just him but my daughter didn’t think it did. He said waffle was excellent. I got the meat ball appetizer with a side salad. I actually really liked these and much better than Olive Garden. Lastly I got one of their carrot raisin muffins. This is one of the reasons I come here. It was and moist and with a touch of butter omg!

late lunch 2:153÷14÷16 the place is almost empty. Waited 8 – 10 min. for water and drink order. Another 5 min. to get the beverage served. Order taken and another 25 min. to be served. the food was room temperature like it had been sitting. The meal itself was very average at best. Waited another 10 Min. for the bill. Then had to wait another 10 min. for the waitress to return with the completed transaction. All the while the waitress was carrying on a personal conversation with two friends. The customer obviously did not matter to her. Worst service ever all for cold average tasting food. Never again.

Not a happy camper today at our local Mimi’s. The service couldn’t have been any slower. I mean it was slow slow. Then my Cobb salad came in a different bowl with a huge flat rim. It was huge, but the bowl part was smaller. So less salad

This has been a go to spot for breakfast and lunch for about 10 years for me now. My daughter loves going there now too. She loves getting their puppy pancakes and fruit. I always get their eggs Benedict Florentine which is no longer on the menu but you can still order it. Their French dip with the veggies and cheese is always good too. If you go during lunch or dinner, you should really try their French onion soup, it’s so good! Their menu has changed within the last few years but their staples are still there. They added more French still foods and are always updating. Sign up for the newsletter and get buy one, get one entrée coupons about once per month too.

Service is definitely 5 stars. My sister got the farmhouse tacos and they were filled with onions… Disgusting. This place is always a zoo, just take a look at this pic. This kid had snot running outta his nose, and stared at us the entire time. Parents make me sick.

Came here on a Sunday and it was crazy busy! Wait for five was about 45 minutes, so we headed to the bar for some mimosas. The mango and berry mimosa is a MUST!!! These are the best I’ve had in a while. When we were seated, we ordered more mimosas and I ordered the salmon with frites(fries). The salmon was cooked perfectly as well as the frites. I was surprised on how good it was. My friend got the chicken and waffles and it was also very good. Our server was nice and attentive. Definitely would come back a second time!

Mimi’s never fails to impress me with their new entrees and vast selection of delicious choices. We are regulars here and for good reason, satisfaction is always guaranteed. Their Bread Is Half Of The reason I come :) Get in here and get yourself a bogo entrée!
