If you need a hair colorist/​stylist that will not only make good on their promises to you, but exceed your expectations, I highly recommend Salon Cheveux. I’ve worked with other colorists who weren’t able to achieve the results I wanted, but Ken completely blew me away. He was very clear with me on what steps I would need to achieve a lower maintenance heavy highlight versus a higher maintenance solid color, and I opted for the heavy highlight. He got the length, cut, and color exactly the way I wanted it! My hair turned out absolutely perfect! It was also fun chatting with him about Olaplex, chelating hair, Guy Tang, and Kim Vo ;). The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was really relaxing; it has kind of a spa-​feel to it. I will be back!

First timer here and I love it! Everyone is so kind and friendly. I’ve been long over due for a haircut and I decided to give them a try. My stylist was Robin and she did an amazing job. I came in only asking for a trim. As she was drying my hair I thought it was still too long. So I asked for a few more inches off. I was scared and excited at first about the risk I was taking but I absolutely LOOOOVVVEEEE it!!! I believe she took about 8 inches off and even curled it at the end. I will definitely be coming back. Thankkkk you again Robin !!!

I went in to try a new Esthetician in this Salon. I enjoyed a facial treatment with Denise. She is so welcoming and kind. I felt like she was very knowledgeable and Caring in her service. I have been getting facials for years now and I am happy to have found a good technician. Thank you again Denise ;)

My favorite salon to go to in the Sacramento area. Ken used to do my hair but if he’s busy, Janna does it. She’s awesome. She get my hair the red that I like. Service is excellent. I’ve never been disappointed with the services provided by Ken or Janna.

By far and away my favorite hair salon, this is the only place I go now. The staff warmly welcomes you upon arrival, know your name, offer a variety of refreshments, not to mention great conversation. Ken is the man, and being a guy, its pretty hard to find a good hair salon that doesn’t just take gardening shears to your hair. This is my hair place, period.

I love getting my hair done here. Kat is amazing. As someone who is both lazy and indecisive about my hair, I really appreciate how knowledgable Kat is. Every time I see her, I go with the same wishy washy requests that don’t really mean anything («maybe change it a little but only the bangs? And I like the color but maybe slightly different in some way I can’t explain?» — I’m really quite awful) and she somehow does something I love every time, without fail.
Surprise surprise, I’m also awkward and hate talking to new hairdressers (or new people in general). I felt comfortable with Kat immediately.
Go see Kat. She’ll have you looking and feeling beautiful.

I was referred to Salon Cheveux by another business I go to and I was specifically referred to Janna. SO glad I went! Janna was wonderful — she was fun and creative and took what I wanted and ran with it. I wanted to go from my natural brunette to a full on blonde with highlights, low-​lights the whole deal. She did my entire head in foil, plus a lightener, toner, etc. And after the first round I was a little bit in shock of how blonde I was (I don’t think I mentally prepped myself for the change) but Janna was fabulous and immediately said «If you can hang out for another hour I can put in some more low-​lights and create a really nice contrast», even though we’d already been there for 4 hours! She never made me feel like a burden and she is a perfectionist when it comes to getting the client’s hair exactly how they envisioned it. I went for more low-​lights and I absolutely love my hair and will most definitely be going back to Janna as well as referring anyone looking for a hair stylist to her. THANK YOU JANNA! :)

I had been going to Salon Cheveux for a few months, and really enjoyed Ken, as he is a very good stylist. However, the customer service at the salon has not been that great, and I have decided to go elsewhere. For the price I was paying, no reminder calls were included.

My mother and sister have gone there and usually refer to Ken (who along with the other stuff always does their hair on point)! I went there once last year and most recently, yesterday. Both of the women who did my hair did an amazing job! Stephanie, who gave me a haircut last year, suggested a really nice cut, which I went with and absolutely loved! Natalie, who colored my hair, also did a good job and was really patient when I was deciding which color I wanted. She was helpful in every way! The staff is usually very nice and in a good mood!

I was initially very pleased with this salon and gave it 4 starts. After going to this salon for several years, I now want to correct my rating and give it a well deserved 5 star. I realize when it comes to hair, things may happen from time to time and I expect that. But to me, what is important is how the owner handles the situation and for me their handling of situations has been very satisfying. Hence, 5 starts!

I totally agree that they need more stars for extraordinary service and expertise!!! Although I probably go here only twice a year, (more if I’m lucky) there is never a time that I’m not complimented on my hair whether it’s the cut, color or both. Ken is THEE BEST when it comes to hair! I ask him to make me look 10 years younger and he does exactly that… makes my HAIR look 10 years younger! LOL! All kidding aside, Ken is always up to date on the latest styles and techniques, attending classes nation and worldwide. He listens to his clients. He’ll tell you if the style you had in mind is right for your hair and face shape and if you still want to go for it against his recommendation then he will give you what you ask for. He’s not in it just to make a buck, he’s passionate about his craft and it shows on his clients. And he makes sure his stylists are also trained well. They all reflect on the Salon Cheveux name. So if you want to try a new look or vamp up the ‘do’ you already sport, then make your appointment with Ken, far in advance, I might add, because sometimes he gets booked months ahead. You won’t be sorry.

Stephanie is so awesome! I am so picky as to exactly how I like my hair to be cut, and have been disappointed by so many other barbers and stylists… but not Stephanie, she did a great job.

Salon Cheveux is wonderful! I have been getting my haircut there, by Ken, for almost 15 years! Always professional and always friendly! I regularly receive compliments on my haircut too. My daughter loves going to the salon as well and has been there since before she was born! I highly recommend Ken and his salon very highly!

The salon offers the latest products and styles. The staff is always friendly and sincere. They always offer coffee, tea and water to be enjoyed during your appointments, which is always nice. Then there is Ken… he is truly THE BEST!!!
Ken is a total perfectionist (as am I, so I truly appreciate him), he is kind and professional and you can tell that he is passionate about what he does. I trust him and I value his opinion.

Ken does a fabulous job. With most haircuts, I don’t solely judge on my happiness, but the amount of compliments directly related to how well Ken does as well. It never fails, every time I get my hair done, I will get a compliment. Please do not misconstrue this for conceitedness, but rather just factual.
From pixie short to lengthy luscious locks — Ken gets it right every time. Sometimes, he gives me new styles that are far before they get popular with the average population, which is fun.
I literally sit in his chair and let him do his thang. Sometimes I’ll throw in the occasional cut bangs, trim ends, or I want highlights — but for the most part he does what he does and does it DAMN WELL :)
They play the best jams. At any given point, someone is singing along with the top 40, old school R&B, soul, or something fun.

I had gone to this salon once for myself and really loved the haircut I received from Monica. So since the place I had been taking my 10-​year-​old son had closed, I decided to take him to Salon Cheveux. I made an appointment with Monique (Monica’s daughter). My son has thicker hair than my curly mess and his is frizzy just like mine is. Monique did an excellent job cutting his hair to get it to lay flatter and less frizzier than anyone ever had. He wants longer hair on top and she was able to keep the length but make it a manageable hairdo. Both Raul and I walked out happy with his haircut for once!

I tried Salon Cheveux last year in trying to find a good hairstylist in Elk Grove. I gave this place a shot and will have to say that I will not go back. Ken colored and cut my hair. Since summer was around the corner I asked for a lighter brown but my hair turned out really dark brown almost black. And with my haircut, it was sooo uneven. It was just like cutting my hair in front and sides to half. My hair was halfway down my back. So, imagine the front & sides was just cut straight. Very awkward looking. He didn’t make it even blend together. I thought somebody else was going to finish my cut but he just moved on to another customer and one of people just started to dry my hair.
Yes, the people are nice but I expect to have a good haircut.
