So I found this place through groupon and read up on the Unilocal.I thought it was a little strange that most people were raving about Robin and a small few said she was rude. I went in kinda guarded but was pleasantly surprised. Robin was very friendly and warm. She took her time explaining and wasn’t pushy at all. I was offered great and honest advice. After careful consideration I decided on ombré/​baylage and a base color. She DID explain that there would be extra cost for the base color before hand. I was a little nervous because I’ve had numerous bad experiences with other color jobs but fortunately this was not the case. She got my naturally black Asian hair to a nice chocolate base with caramel ash tips. There were no harsh lines and everything blended in so naturally. I must mention her assistant was very sweet and attentive. I appreciated how she was constantly checking up on me and making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I also really enjoyed the relaxing massage during my shampooing. My whole experience was top notch. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to Robin and her assistant!!!

I had one of the best experience at the sheer style with my groupon deal with Jasmine. It’s not that often you find good deals. Jasmine is very polite and doesn’t talk much while cutting hair or the scalp treatment. Before she began cutting the hair, she asked me all the necessary questions and recommend few things such as how many inches I wanted to cut off my hair, recommended layer style, if I wanted hair color and suggested cutting extra length to add volume to my hair since it was very thin. She explained the difference between deep conditioning and scalp treatment. I ended up choosing scalp treatment which was my first time. And she suggested to use tea tree for my scalp. She’s pretty good. Reason for not giving 5 star because I felt the chairs were not clean. I could see white stuffs on the chairs which did gross me out. Otherwise I would highly recommend Jasmine to anyone wanting to purchase groupon deal or going there without it.

Robin did an amazing job with my hair! I got a groupon and she fit me in the next day. She was friendly, conversational, and very professional. I brought in a picture and wanted bayalage/​ombré and she killed it! She gave me the exact look I wanted and it looks amazing.

Robin DeLeon is fantastic. She did such a great job on my hair this morning. She is personable, listens and does exactly what you want making your hair look fantastic

If I could give zero stars I would. Robin was so unprofessional and rude on the phone. First of all its next to impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. I called 5 times and finally received a phone call back from robin a few hours later asking what I wanted. When I explained to her I wanted to make an appointment for the following day just for a hair trim she said ok. When I mentioned I had a groupon she immediately brushed me off and said the there’s no groupon appts for another month. I’m pleased to say I was like refunded from groupon. I’m glad I found out how rude this woman is and glad to take me business elsewhere. She doesn’t deserve any business.
And anyways, she obviously can’t be THAT booked up if she’s on groupon. Lol

Love my hair & color Thx Robin. However I had saw a Groupon & was expecting to pay $ 60 for what I saw but when I got there she charged me $ 100. I feel that I got played. And I was trying to do a good thing by not buying it on Groupon so she can have all of the money.

Robin was super nice and welcoming. This was my first time in a salon and I’ve got to say it was a great bar setter. I felt super relaxed in the environment and not only that, my hair came out gorgeous!
Service is definitely a five star for me :)
Will definitely go again and recommend my friends to go as well.

Robin was awesome my first time getting balayage done to my hair and I loved it. She was extremely pleasant and gave me great tips she made the experience for me and my niece all the better =) Thanks!!!

I purchased a Living Social deal for Color, Cut and Blow out for my daughter. Upon arrival Robin was very friendly and welcoming. We discussed what my daughter wanted done. She made sure to explain To that their might be additional costs above what the deal covers if she wanted more than one color. My daughter is very happy with the results.

Decided to try this place for my son after seeing it while going to another store in the same shopping center. I called and made an appointment with the barber. I think his name was Ray? Anyways he gave my son a little Mohawk type hair cut and it looks amazing. I totally love it. Definitely will come back.

i had a horrible experience here!!!, i purchased their groupon deal for 60.00 for my daughter. she wanted to get the balayage, cut, blowdry and style done. we drove from a long ways too hoping that our experience would be a good one. my daughters hair is orange and brassy, not at all what she wanted she even showed robin pictures of what she wanted! we had robin do a toner to fix it, we actually left and came back to have to toner done! it’s actually worse now! not only that robin ripped my daughter by charging her an extra $ 30.00 stating it was for each bowl of bleach used on her hair! what !!! never heard of this before! there was nothing in the groupon fine print stating that the amount could change, it actually said not to exceed that price. i complained with better business bureau, with groupon also to get my money back and groupon is still waiting for robin to call them back to resolve this. robin has now changed the fine print in groupon so beware she will rip you off and lie to you and do a horrible hair job. with these groupon adds she only makes half of the profit!!! i have also complained to the cosmetology licence department!!! i want my refund robin im still waiting and your still lying!!!

I am only giving this place one star because I can’t give it negative four. If I did t have the attached pictures and professional opinions you might think this place was TOO BAD TO BE TRUE.
These pictures were taken the next day at a local beauty college under supervision of the owner and an instructor. They show: 1) Net sticking through my hair. 2) Poorly dyed extensions that do not match and 3) braids so loose finger slipped easily under my day old braids.
When I called to complain I was offered a ²⁄₃ refund by mail. But it was never sent.

Just used my groupon for hair color and cut with Robin, i am very happy i finally found a great salon to go to. Those who go to laguna spa to see Eva, Robin is as good and better attitude, Eva was always rushing. If you want great service, go to shear and see Robin.
