This is the first review I have ever written for any company, practice, retail store etc. I am appalled at the lack of service regarding this medical practice. I have spent 3 consecutive days trying to contact the office staff to schedule a follow-up appointment. They have conveniently designated a call center to intercept all of their calls. The ladies answering the calls on behalf of this medical clinic are ill-equipped to say the least to deal with patients requiring medical needs. They are not only rude but incompetent and lack the customer service skills necessary to assist patients with sensitive issues and concerns. I will be filing a complaint with the medical board immediately. I advise anyone else reading this review to do the same. It is a disgrace that in the state of California such places are allowed to exist. I have also tried to contact the office manager of this facility(Lisa) whom never once has returned my call nor answered her phone. I can only conclude that she is bombarded by complaints. When I initially called to schedule my appointment I was required to do so with a call center. When I explained I was an existing patient and needed a follow-up appointment with Dr. Ford regarding my high blood pressure, I was told I could not be seen until February 2015, today is November 3rd2015. I don’t even have words for that response. Unfortunately the health care epidemic has become the worst it has ever been and I am sorry but shame on Dr. Ford and his staff for taking just anyone and everyone. You have to keep some kind of a balance and make sure that the existing patients you have are well taken care of. Sacramento Family Medical Clinic runs four clinical sites. When other clinics/hospitals turn you away, this place will try to find time for you. Their clientele are mostly the poor and underserved. They are dedicated to providing medical care to those no one else will take care of. Somehow I doubt that those are the people who are writing these terrible Unilocal reviews. What none of the trolls mentions is that the fees for care here are about the lowest you will find anywhere in Sacramento. MediCal? Sure come in. Medicare? Sure come in. Uninsured? We can help you. They have the second lowest fee collection rate in the nation, which means that many of their patients stiff them. They are a non-profit outfit that relies on grants and donations. So when I read that someone, a drop in, had to wait a couple of hours to be seen for a non-life threatening complaint and is whining about not being bumped to the head of the line, or gripes that the nurse did not smile sweetly enough, I don’t have much sympathy for them. When I read their reviews: «I’ve been bringing my mom here for years and this place sucks so one star from me!» «For years?» Really? I wonder what kind of child they must be. Unhappy? Try going to a patient mill where the for-profit corporation that owns it forces the staff to see 30+ patients per shift. Those doctors never«run behind schedule» because if they do they get fired.

My mom’s been seeing Dr. Forde over 8 years and he’s great. Very patient and understanding. The staff are unfriendly. They don’t greet you at all. You just fill out the check in slip and give it to them without a word. Lol!!! Waiting is at least 1.5 hours before you get to see Dr. Forde even though you have an appointment. Don’t go there on walk ins and expect to be seen. You will waste your 2 – 3 hours waiting and the receptionist will tell you«Sorry the doctor is behind schedule. Just go to urgent care.» Are you kidding me!!! Oh by the way if you have an appointment I suggest you call a day before to confirm it because if they cancelled your appointment they won’t even call to let you know. It happened to my mom twice. The lady in the front said she did but I checked all our voicemail and there were no messages. For this I am changing three stars to two.
