Brought my wife to this wonderful little house in Elk Grove and had a great time. Very fine service and the food was sent to us on time hot, tasty, well presented, and in the end delicious. The environment was fantastic for a date of any type [especially if you want to impress] and the people taking care of you from hostess to servers to support were all very friendly, nice, and attentive in a manner that did not impede the experience. All in all for Elk Grove Ca you get a high end experience in a small town environment. Fun, delicious, and well presented. Go and enjoy this place is a great experience.

Service 5 stars: promptly seated, hostess noted that we were few minutes late for reservation and said next party due to arrive 7:15 and we would still have plenty of time to enjoy our meal. Silverware changed according to course; delivered on plate w napkin. Waitress and staff attentive. Food 4 stars: One of the best starter bread — soft inside and crispy(not hard) on outside; served with whipped butter with sea salt. Foie gras was on point. The bone marrow was a miss — sourness of too much capers overwhelmed all other flavors so that the cheese and marrow itself was indistinguishable. Duck confit and lamb chops was good. Vegetables perfectly done — slight crisp on outside, tender inside but still held texture. Salmon and cream sauce was delicate and savory. We had banana crêpe for dessert. I liked caramelized banana crisp on top and flavors, but crêpe itself was a little too soft and thick. Overall value 5 stars: Price was very reasonable for such fine dining. Only wish waitress would have mentioned that there would be surcharge for plate split. In SF one would expect to pay 2x the price for similar dining experience. I was pleasantly surprised.

My husband took me here for one of my Christmas presents. What I didn’t know was he called the restaurant a couple of months ago in planning and asked them if they could have a LARGE set of roses and chilled wine to be at the table when we sat down. It was the sweetest thing and they even sat us next to the fireplace. The waitress we had was super sweet and the food was delicious! We got the butternut squash soup which was the best we have ever had, and we shared the salmon and the boulonnaise(?) seafood soup dish. We are seafood lovers and have eaten at all of the best seafood restaurants in town and in Seattle(where my family lives) and these seafood dishes knocked the socks off any other place we have tried! I seriously said I have never wanted to kiss a chef, but I would kiss this one! The salmon was crispy on the outside but perfect consistency on the inside. We couldn’t resist to get dessert, which was crème brûlée and the chocolate mousse. I preferred the crème brûlée over the mousse though. All in all, this was the best date night we have ever had together(and we’ve been together for 15 years)! The waitress was super accommodating and fun to talk with. Couldn’t help but leave this place a 5 star review! Thank you for the memorable night.
