In between a move, I left my belongings in a storage unit for barely two months, but that was plenty of time for it all to be ruined. When we opened the unit, we saw dead rats, and they had completely damaged mostly everything. In addition to things that were out (tore through couch/​bed covers) they chewed through boxes to get into things. Couch, books, towels, drapes, clothes… you name it, ruined.
I moved my things out over two months ago and they have not given any reimbursement for the actual payment of the unit, and the insurance company they use RepWest, has still not given any type of reimbursement to my belongings.
Do not store your things here!!!

The employees that work at this location are the worst. They clearly hate their jobs and it shows. It took us 40 minutes to leave with a u haul because they take their time. Walk around. Sigh. Gossip and are rude. Get your u haul elsewhere.

1 star isn’t a low enough rating for this specific uhaul location, thanks to Eric Valdez a degenerate Hoodrat customer service rep, Avoid this location at all costs unless you want to deal with these hoodrats who have absolutely NO customer skills and they WILL charge your card with frivolous charges worth hundreds of dollars. Rest assured I will be suing uhaul thanks to my horrible experience and frivolous charges to my credit card.

After a horrible experience leaving out of the uhaul place in 1222 chestnut st, Elizabeth, nj. I decided to cancel my reservations and to this Uhaul on Sherman Ave.
What can I say I was in and out in 5mins. the guys were very friendly and attentive. while I just wasted 2 hr 1 at chestnut st with the Rude Guy that didn’t know what he was doing and 2 waiting for the bus.
I should kept this as my original Uhaul pick up.
Again I can’t thank you guys enough for my experience quick and pleasant.. 2 thumbs up #jaeawesomeapproves
