This place is always always always putting out the best and the brightest Elgin has to offer — food, company, gifts, beer… every great town needs this kind of spot. The kind of place where if you sit there long enough, you’ll meet or see everyone in town. I love this place and the food especially is always on point.

San Antonio, TX
Easily the best place to eat in Elgin for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Super cozy and every staff member makes you feel like you’re an old friend. Pancakes, Spanglish and Cuban sandwiches, and their perfectly cooked steaks and Spaghetti Bolognese are especially incredible. Not to mention their freshly made desserts. Looking for something lighter? You won’t be able to get enough of their Tomato Basil soup and Strawberry Spinach salad. (Although I recommend every salad, the lemon poppyseed dressing on the strawberry spinach is my favorite.) As a college student, I love to go and study in the quiet atmosphere around late lunch time but know I can always come back for the fun and good times around dinner. Thank you Chef Paige and Chef Julie!

Delicious! I had the best sandwich ever! If you find yourself in Elgin and see a fried green BLT on the menu, GET ONE. The iced tea is delicious and shopping is fun. Great job, Elgin Local Goods. Keep up the good work.
