Really great coffee(we had Sumatra, and it didn’t turn as it cooled with time). Unique pastries, like a peach empanada. Friendly baristas. They may try to steer you to an Americano, but you don’t have to give in. After such a pleasurable 1st experience, we returned later in the week. Service and quality we’re equally as good. Strongly recommend.

I agree with 5 Star rating absolutely. Cash only here. No prob. I had 2 shots expresso with coffee and friend had hot choc. Also pistachio gellato which was amazing good. My kind of latte shop here. Divey, nicely appointed, great drink and food options. I will return.

Lovely americano. Nice and rich, not a hint of acid or burnt beans. Drip coffee is strooooong, so be warned. Mellow atmosphere, lots of cool local art on the walls, and very friendly staff. You can grab a book from the bookshelf and hang to your heart’s content. Definitely worth a stop.

We went here after camping out for two nights and the owner of the place(who was also making the drinks) absolutely blew us away with hospitality and a refreshing smile. We ordered two hot chocolates and a mocha. She proceeded to make art out of our drinks and went the extra mile on finishing our drinks. Will absolutely stop here again if we are remotely close to the area. Well done!!!

Our barista knew the way to my heart. I had ordered a macchiato and he actually made a proper coffee for me! It was my first time ever going here but I have been disappointed at many coffee houses making me a baby cappuccino instead. If I ever find myself in Taos again I will be swinging through. They also had some awesome post cards for sale by local artists. Only $ 1 each! Score!

I am happy that we went to this place on our trip. Try the gelato with espresso. It’s probably the best coffee drink I’ve had all year. Or maybe ever. Yea it was that delicious.

Stopped in here to kill some time before my hotel check in time, and I was glad I did. Good service, delicious coffee, and seriously yummy chocolate chip cookies. I’ll have to go back with a bigger appetite.

Love love love Elevations! Shawn and Janet are two of the coolest people; and their coffees are just wonderful. When I want a specialty coffee, they are my go to! Great place to just hang out… great feeling with lots of local color… most convenient as you are heading to the ski valley!

i guess i’ll join the chorus of 5-star adorers of this café. first of all, i’m NOT a coffee snob– burr grinders and chemex whatevers mean nothing to me. i can tell the difference between folgers and starbucks, and this coffee tastes better than starbucks. CASH/CHECK ONLY!!! service is super nice + they have yummy bread slices(blueberry, ginger, pumpkin). the only place in taos where i’ll get my coffee!

Found our way to Taos & was in need if great coffee and a quiet place to work. This place had that & much more; clean restrooms, big tables, lots if natural light & lovely ladies serving up great cups of latte! On the day we were leaving Taos, the ladies brewed this up for me!

I loved this coffee joint. The staff was very nice and super efficient. The décor is clean and sharp. The local floral photography in the bathroom was very refreshing. I spent most of my afternoon working away on their wifi. The owner even let me stay 30 minutes late to finish up a project. Highly recommend this place.

Elevation is one of those coffee shops that makes you want to return. The owners are so cool and offer more than just great coffee. They provide a comfortable, relaxing, rejuvenating atmosphere to read a book, visit with a friend or stop by when dashing somewhere else. The positive energy that emanates from Elevation makes it the place to go and their coffee is top of the line!

Delicious dark roast coffee! Just finished a vacation in Taos, and Elevation Coffee is completely deserving of the Best of Taos title for coffee! Not only did they serve some of the best coffee I’ve had, they were genuinely nice people. We didn’t know they didn’t take plastic, and we had used our cash earlier in the day. They made sure we knew to sit and enjoy our drinks before going to an ATM. We weren’t rushed at all… plus I got to enjoy my coffee even longer while he drove around for a working ATM.

Friendly & Excellent Coffee! We stopped by with our dog in the late afternoon to enjoy a coffee and wi-fi on their patio. Unfortunately, when we walked in the owner said they were actually closed and they were cleaning up. Sadly, we left, but before we reached our Jeep, the owner came out and offered us the patio, wi-fi, and the last of his brewed coffee. The drip coffee is outstanding and love the friendly service! Will definitely go back when I’m in town. Dog friendly on the patio :)

I stopped by Elevation on a recent road biking trip to Taos. I had planned to do part of the Enchanted Circle ride, but wasn’t happy with the local bike shop’s recommendation of doing an out-and-back to Questa, so I needed to do a bit of online research. I picked up a pre-ride coffee(dark roast) and a breakfast burrito. Thank you Elevation for having a dark roast selection. The staff were friendly; Janet even introduced herself. The coffee was strong and the free wifi was pretty speedy. Agree with Spaceman that the baked goods didn’t look overly appealing.

This place has the best espresso in Taos, and probably all of New Mexico for that matter. It’s right up there with anything I have found in Portland, Denver, San Francisco or Los Angeles. If you want a sure bet for an authentic(non-Starbucks) espresso-based drink, be sure and check out this place and their giant coffee cup just outside of their shop!

Good coffee but needs ceramic cups to take it up a notch. Sitting area design lacks inspiration(hard/expensive to change) but they have a lot of magazines and a cool book exchange. Does not take credit or debit cards!
