As a kid I used to go to this theatre all the time with my family. And back then it was more expensive. I’m so glad that is it still open and I get to take my kids anytime they want and they get to enjoy the same as I did. All and all this is the spot to watch any movie that passed you by. Or like me I didn’t feel like paying big bucks for a movie with bad reviews. I love this place and so do my kids.

I lived a horribly deprived childhood because although I lived in EP during my elementary school age and high school age, I didn’t find out we had any dollar theaters until my senior year of high school. Actually I had never ventured to any theater other than the Carmike 16. Other than eating at Chili’s and buffets, my dad wasn’t too big on outings so I continued to live my sad, unbearable life until I was introduced to Montwood Movie 7. I just couldn’t fathom a movie theater with tickets less than $ 8 for a night showing or concessions that wouldn’t render me penniless. But lo and behold it did exist in all it’s sticky floor glory. I’ve been back numerous times since and between MM7 and East Pointe 12, this is my weekend preference(only because it’s never as packed as it’s counterpart). The concessions are cheaper than any of the regular movie theaters, but you get what you pay for… not really the best hot dogs in town if you get what I’m saying. The screens and chairs could use some updating. Not the best theater in town, but a good place for an inexpensive night. It’s a [two] dollar theater so the movies aren’t new-new, but they still come out here before they do on DVD. 3 solid stars on a dollar theater level.

This is not a 5 or even a 4 star theater but it’s also not a bad theater. You can’t really complain with $ 2 tickets though. What you can complain about however is the old decrepit seating and the loud obnoxious people who frequent this theater. Oh and the sticky floors? No thanks. But again… $ 2 tickets. You get what you pay for =]

Intimate, sweet and a cute little theatre. It’s in a rather spooky, mostly abandoned area of the stripmall, but I love it. Would much prefer it over Eastpointe/Starplex. It’s clean(no sticky floors) and the popcorn is pretty nice. If you have a VIP card and two people you can get a kiddie sized popcorn for free that has a bazillion calories but hey, why not?

$ 2.00 for a movie experience is a steal any day of the week. Sticky floors gives it that old school feel and decent popcorn for $ 2.00 Enjoy

I remember this used to be a dollar theatre back in the day! I wish we had dollar movies on the east coast! I’m not sure how this place is now. I just have memories of going to the dollar movies with my friends and sneaking in stinky chili cheese dogs from Wienerschnitzel!
